1. SUBJECT
This graphic guide-book defines the instructions for use of IMC Brand owned by Istituto Mediterraneo di
Certificazione s.r.l. (IMC) registered office in Senigallia (AN) – Italy – via C. Pisacane n° 53.
The IMC brand is registered at the Italian Patent and Brand Office in Rome - Provincial branch of Ancona,
with the serial number # AN2000C000064 dated 05.05.2000 (services belonging to class 42 – certification of
products in the agriculture and food sector) for protection on the Italian territory, and moreover at the
International Office of Geneva with the serial number # 322D/00 dated 24.05.2000 for protection in Egypt,
France and Switzerland.
2. INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
The IMC Brand may be used only in the following cases and by an operator certified and authorized by IMC:
- on the labels of certified products
- on the letterhead of the company, but only with an explicit and exclusive reference to the products that
fall in the field of certification
- in advertising the company but only with explicit and exclusive reference to products included in the field
of certification
In any case the use of the IMC Brand by the operator has to be preceded by forwarding to IMC a draft of the
project, and it is subject to the approval by IMC in order to verify its compliance with the requirements
envisaged in the norms and regulations that apply.
The use of the IMC brand on the certified products must be accompanied with the underlines indicated case
by case according to certification type released by IMC for the products subject to branding, in accordance
with to the modes envisaged in the following cases:
Products coming from companies certified according to Organic Farming
Underline to be added to the brand:
Organic Agriculture
Organic Agriculture
In Italian: Agricoltura Biologica
In French: Agriculture Biologique

received the corresponding IMC certification.

Note: the affixing and use of the brands and wordings above indicated must take into consideration the
indications and obligations foreseen by law; furthermore, the dispositions and indications foreseen by IMC for
each certification scheme at the authorisation, release and renewal of the certification phases should be
observed.

It is forbidden to modify it in
any way.
