Air intake grille pitch 25 mm GVAN 25 pag. B-1 Description Air intake grille pitch 25 mm. Blades inclined to 45°, mounted on plastic support to avoid noise phenomena caused by vibrations. Fixing through visible frontal screws. Available in anodised (GVAN 25) and white (GVAN 25 W) version. It’s commonly employed for environment air intake both in civil and industrial field. Dimensions B (mm) : 200 - 1500 H (mm) : 100 - 1000 (multiples of 25) Construction Anodised aluminium (GVAN 25), painted natural aluminium (GVAN 25 W). Finish Anodised aluminium (GVAN 25), white gloss RAL 9010, powder-coated polyesther type (GVAN 25 W). Other versions GVAN 25 R : with anti-mouse mesh. GPAN 25 : fixing through pressure springs. GPAN 25 R : pressure springs with anti-mouse mesh. GPAN 25 Q : for false ceilings with panel 595x595 mm. GPAN 25 D3 : openable filter holder (pressure opening) equipped with built-in frame and filter cell. Frame and grille can be separated to make the installation easier. GPAN 25 D3Q : openable filter holder for false ceilings with panel 595x595 mm, equipped with built-in frame and filter cell. Accessories CB1 : regulation damper. CT : counterframe for GVAN 25. CTP : counterframe for GPAN 25. N.B. - Holes for fixing screws on long side. 3 holes if B > 600 mm, 4 holes if B > 1200 mm. Specifications Air intake grille pitch 25 mm. Anodised aluminium (GVAN 25) or white painted natural aluminium RAL 9010 (GVAN 25 W) construction. Inclined blades mounted on plastic support to avoid any vibrations. Fixing through visible screws. B-3 40 Example 30 You must intake 1000 m3/h air from a room where the allowed sound power level LWA is 25 dBA. You want to select a grille with proper dimensions. 20 15 From first diagram you have : Ak = 0,14 m2 Pi (Pa) 10 8 From second diagram you have : DP = 25 Pa 6 From third diagram you find out that a grille with Ak = 0,14 m2, has BxH equal to about 0,18 m2 : you can use for example a grille 600 x 300 mm. 4 2 4 1 0.1 0.2 0.4 0.6 0.8 vf (m/s) 1 1.2 1.6 2 2.5 3 3.5 4 Key to symbols qv Air-flow LWA Sound power level weighed “A” (rif. 10-12 W) DP Grille’s pressure drop Ak Effective area vf Filter’s frontal velocity (GPAN 25 D3) DPi Air-flow calculation It’s necessary to position the velocity probe to measure vk as shown in the picture. You must employ hot-wire anemometers taking care to orient the reading “window” against the jet. In each point you must measure the average velocity in a breaktime of at least 1 minute (average in time). In order to obtain the air-flow, you must calculate the arithmetic average of the so measured values (ṽ) and multiply it for value Ak resulting from third diagram. qv = ṽk x Ak Filter’s initial pressure drop (GPAN 25 D3) Selection 1 At the requested air-flow qv, with the allowed sound power level LWA, from diagram 1 determine (by excess) the effective area Ak of the grille. 2 At the requested air-flow qv, with value Ak given at point 1, from diagram 2, verify that the pressure drop DP is compatible with the plan’s value. 3 With value Ak given at point 1, from diagram 3, determine the product BxH, therefore the grille’s nominal dimensions B and H (setting for instance B and getting H). 4 In case of openable filter holder grill GPAN 25 D3 it’s necessary to consider also pressure drops due to filter. You can measure them from diagram 4 with vf as follows: vf = 1000 * qv 3,6 * (B-50) * (H-50) qv [m3/h], B[mm], H[mm], vf [m/s] F.C.R. SpA - Via E.
