DESCRIZIONE
Il rivelatore di scintilla 05-S è un dispositivo elettronico
sensibile alle scintille, faville, corpi incandescenti in
movimento.
Il suo impiego è particolarmente indicato negli
stabilimenti per la lavorazione del legno, produzione di
pannelli truciolari, mobilifici, segherie, ecc., dove
l’incendio è molto probabile e frequente.
È indicato anche nell’industria tessile, specie nei
cotonifici, nei sili per cereali e mangimi, e nel
trattamento delle pelli. Il rivelatore di scintilla 05-S
contiene un elemento sensibile alle radiazioni infrarosse
(IR) emesse dai corpi incandescenti.
Quando una scintilla viene rilevata, il relè si eccita e
rimane eccitato per circa 3 secondi (questo è il tempo
standard; si può avere una temporizzazione diversa, da
1 a 10 secondi, regolando il potenziometro interno).
Se le scintille sono continue il relè rimane eccitato fino
all’ultima scintilla ed ulteriori 3 secondi (o il tempo
prefissato).
Il rivelatore di scintilla è previsto per essere montato
sulle tubazioni degli impianti d’aspirazione o di trasporto
pneumatico dei trucioli, in modo che possa vedere
attraverso una finestra l’interno della tubazione.
Il rivelatore può essere montato anche sopra coclee o
altre linee di trasporto meccanico di trucioli e segatura
(o cereali e mangimi), evitando però che la luce solare
o delle lampade colpisca direttamente la finestra del
rivelatore provocando falsi allarmi.
Abitualmente il rivelatore viene abbinato ad un sistema
automatico
di
spegnimento,
costituito
da
un’elettrovalvola ed uno o più ugelli spruzzatori
d’acqua, che annulla ogni scintilla che passa davanti al
rivelatore con un breve spruzzo d’acqua.
In
questo
caso,
per
ottenere
una
giusta
sincronizzazione
con la scintilla che viaggia a 30 m/s, l’ugello viene
montato a valle del rivelatore di circa 15 m (si considera
un ritardo di 0,2 secondi dovuto principalmente al
percorso dell’acqua prima e dopo l’ugello).
Un eventuale altro rivelatore può essere montato a valle
dell’ugello per segnalare scintille non spente per difetto
del sistema di spegnimento (mancanza d’acqua, valvola
bloccata, ecc.) o eccessiva dimensione del fuoco.
Un eventuale pressostato può essere montato prima
dell’ugello per segnalare il flusso dell’acqua.
Un caratteristica interessante del rivelatore è il sistema
di verifica (test). Uno speciale bulbo ad incandescenza
è contenuto nel rivelatore vicino al sensore.
Alimentando questo bulbo con impulso 24 Vcc si
genera un flash infrarosso che viene rilevato come
scintilla.
Questo dispositivo consente di controllare a distanza
l’efficienza del rivelatore e dell’intero impianto di
spegnimento automatico.

 Segnalatore LED interno che indica lo stato di allarme
del relè.
 Modo di funzionamento: in allarme il relè interno si
eccita per circa 3 secondi (o altro tempo prefissato)
ogni volta che una particella incandescente si
presenta davanti alla finestra del rivelatore.
 Dispositivo TELETEST per la prova funzionale a
distanza del rivelatore che richiede un’alimentazione
24 Vcc +/- 15% 20 mA.
 Connessioni elettriche su morsettiera a 8 vie.

DESCRIPTION
05-S spark detector is an electronical device sensitive
to sparks, and moving incandescent bodies.
It’s use it particularly suitable in wood processing and
wood shaving panels buildings, furniture factories,
sawmills, etc., where fire is very probable and frequent.
It is also suitable for textile industry, in particular for
cotton mills, cereals and fodders bins and hide
treatment. 05-S spark detector contains an element
sensitive to infrared (IR) radiations emitted by
incandescent bodies.
When a spark is detected, the relay is activated and it
remains in this status for 3 seconds (this is the standard
time; it is possible to have a different timing, from 1 to
10 seconds by setting the internal potentiometer).
If the sparks are continue, the relay remains activated
until the last sparks and other 3 seconds more (or the
set time).
Spark detector is realized to be mounted on tubes of
aspiration or wood shavings pneumatic transport
installation, so that it can see the tube interior through a
window.
This detector can be also mounted on delivery chutes
or other mechanical transport lines for wood shavings
and sawdust (or cereals and fodders), avoiding the sun
or lamp light to hit directly the detector window causing
false alarms.
Usually the detector is combined with an automatic
extinguishing system, made up of an electro-valve and
one or more water sprinklers nozzles, stifling every
sparks with a short sprinkling of water.
In this case, to obtain a correct synchronization with the
spark moving at 30 m/s, the nozzle is downstream
mounted compared to the detector about 15 m (it is also
taken into consideration a 0.2 seconds delay mainly
due to water way before and after the nozzle).
Another eventual detector can be downstream mounted
compared to the nozzle to report not extinct sparks due
to an extinguishing system defect (lack of water, bound
valve, etc.) or excessive fire dimension.
An eventual flow pressure meter can be mounted
before the nozzle to report the water flow.
An interesting feature of the detector is the test system.
A special incandescence globe is contained in the
detector close to the sensor unit. Feeding this globe by
24Vdc a infrared flash is generated and detected as
spark.
This device allows to remote control the detector and
the
whole
automatic
extinguishing
system
effectiveness.
