Star Records
, la loro "Sugar Coated" ci ha spinti a
volerveli presentare in maniera "ufficiale". I Nova Saints sono cinque ragazzi di
Bristol che vivono e suonano sotto lo stesso tetto. Il loro indirizzo sonico sta sulla stessa via dei
primi 90s di Slowdive, The Verve, Ride, Chapterhouse e vari altri osservatori di pedali effetto. Il
suono dei Novas è tuttavia molto moderno e concreto, consumabile nella sua dimensione pop
più diretta e potrebbe fare breccia in molti ascoltatori in cerca di una band atmosferica ma
"muscolare". John Banks, bassista della band è stato raggiunto nella sua Bristol,
dove sono iniziati i preparativi per la registrazione del primo LP della band. Così, tra una
chiacchiera e l'altra scopriamo che Nick Mc Cabe dei Verve è un grande sostenitore del gruppo
("They've refined 20 years of music into pop genius", ha detto di loro), che Clint
Boon suona i pezzi dalla sua residenza di XFM Manchester e che potrebbe esserci un futuro
