The Association of Traditional Japanese Culture ìAikikai díItaliaî is pleased to announce the celebration of Tada Hiroshi Shihan and
Aikikai díItaliaís 50 years of Aikido in Italy.
The event will take place at the Nuova Fiera di Roma on November 1st and 2nd, 2014.
Tada Hiroshi Shihan and Aikido Doshu Moriteru Ueshiba will be present, along with many other renowned Senseis.
The invitation is open to everyone: members of our Association as well as non-members; practitioners and outside guests.
We welcome anyone who wants to celebrate this anniversary with us.
Given the importance and magnitude of this event, we are working with great care on every aspect and detail in order to make it
fruitful and pleasant for all participants.
Our staff and all the volunteers will make sure that both your stay in Rome and training be as enjoyable as possible. We know we
can count on your consideration and cooperation to facilitate the organization and contribute to the success of the event. Given
the large number of people, in order to make your participation in this event as functional and efficient as possible we kindly ask
you to follow the staffís guidelines and to be at the prearranged places on time. Please do not hesitate to contact the staff members

BY CAR - From Rome’s Beltway (GRA) take the exit 30 toward Fiumicino Airport, then follow the signs for Nuova Fiera di
Roma. 5000 car spaces.
BY TRAIN - From Tuscolana, Tiburtina, Ostiense train stations, which are connected to the A and B lines of the underground
(Metropolitana) take the train FR 1 toward Fiumicino and get off at Fiera di Roma stop. Fare 8 euro. Do not take the Leonardo Express Train. More info at www.trenitalia.com..
BY PLANE - From Roma Fiumicino airport, it is possible to reach Fiera Roma with the FR 1 train, Fiera di Roma stop (fare 8
euros). Direstion Fara Sabina-Orte. Do not take the Leonardo Express Train at Roma Termini. From Ciampino airport take
the airline shuttle or a private bus to Termini, go to Metro ìBî line, get off at Roma Ostiense (Ostiense-Piramide) and take
the FR1 train to Fiera di Roma.
BY TAXI - The address for INGRESSO EST (East entrance) is Via A.G. Eiffel (side street of Via Portuense), for the INGRESSO
NORD (North entrance) is Via Portuense 1645-1647.
Estimated time from the city centre (Piazza Venezia): 40 minutes. Estimated time from Fiumicino airport: 15 minutes.
BY BUS - Atac line - 808 line for Fiera Roma
From Fiumicino line Cotral W0001. From Ciampino Airport, take bus shuttle to Termini, switch to Metro “B” to Roma Ostiense station, then take FR1 train to Fiera di Roma.
The hotel accommodation in Rome is remarkable and diverse in its price range and November is considered
“low season” , so all participants will have no particular difficulties in finding accommodation.
For logistic and organizational reasons, it is not possible to stay within the premises of the Fiera di Roma, but
each dojo in Rome may host freely at its premises.

No specific indications are given regarding hotels or accommodation details, since an Internet search is by far
the best way to find the best deals (booking.com , expedia.it , trivago.it , edreams.it , etc...).
Please take note of the geographical areas that are most convenient to get to the venue.
The railway line which connects Rome to the Fair is the FR1 and main stops within the city are in the neighborhoods along the way: Tiburtina , Tuscolana Piramide - Ostiense , Trastevere, Testaccio , Garbatella Magliana,
so it is preferable to look for hotels/B&B near to these stops. Almost all of these neighborhoods have parking
regulated by the “blue stripes” on an hourly basis of about 1/1.50€ h, so it is advisable to find places with garage/parking included or available.
