LA SPEZIA NAVY BASE MAY 24-25-26-27 2016
The ‘blue’ economy represents roughly 5.4 million jobs and generates a gross added value of almost
€500 billion a year in the Eu. However, further growth is possible in a number of areas, especially in a
country, Italy, surrounded by sea for around 2/3 of its borders.
We are convinced that thus Italy express technologies, systems, know how and high valued and performance products, it still hasn’t an appropriate “window” for the sea economy sector. We trust that we need
a quality upgrading to remain at the highest level in the global competition.
We feel that Italy should be one of the economic leader in the Mediterranean not only on international
solidarity missions and on EU borders’ protection activities, but as the economy able to innovate its
competitiveness strengh through the industrial system of its Big companies and SMEs, which are the real
economic base in Italy in the sea economy.
we need safe and secure seas to pursue the “Blue Growth” that means transport shipbuilding, sea technologies, fisheries, energy resources and protection of the sea.
We have thought the 5th edition of Seafuture & Maritime Technologies 2016 to reach such objectives.
Seafuture & Maritime Technologies 2016 is the HUB, the one in Italy, that includes exhibition, dock area,
advanced pre-arranged meetings with over 27 foreign Navies that are interested in refitting or upgrading
works for old and new ships, the Italian Navy, Big players and over 110 SMEs, conferences and seminars,
to start up business relations, negotiate or conclude a large number of contracts, to showacase new
products and technologies in the unique place of the Navy Base in La Spezia.
Seafuture represents the oportunity of the Italian GNP growth, a chance for the the entire Country, for
supporting the Integrated Maritime Policy of the European Union and for reinforce connection among
Navies involved in peace keeping.
We are glad to welcome you to Seafuture & Maritime Technologies 2016 where we hope you can get
your chance!

ATAG S.p.a, one of the most important companies in the area of “technical products”, was created in Milan and has been operating since
1947.
The first challenge was that of natural and synthetic rubber.
ATAG S.p.a was the first to introduce the advantages of Continental
anti-vibration supports to Italian industry in order to absorb vibrations
from mechanical machinery.
Our goal is to introduce and to supply new products to customers
with a view to meeting the requirements of industry.During the 1960s
ATAG S.p.a introduced to Italy flexible rubber expansion joints, spiraled PVC flexible hoses, extruded profiles and moulded elastomers. It
was also at this time that our production centre was created, rapidly
developing a wide range of rubber compounding, moulding and processing experience.
Throughout the 1970s there was further expansion due to the creation of distribution centres in Veneto and Emilia Romagna.
In the 1980s in order to support our growth and common goals it
was necessary to introduce innovative management and automated
warehouses.
Also we began the production of plastic hose and ducting for a wide
range of applications including polyurethane hoses designed for the
suction of abrasive products. This has expanded over time and now
uses many different thermoplastics and specially coated fabrics for
an ever greater variety of items and solutions. Today the ATAG group
enjoys the support of over 100 employees and more than 15,000
square metres of production and warehousing.

Baglietto, the historical shipyard established in 1854 in La Spezia,
has always been an icon of Italian and international boat building. The
experiences and the knowledge gained in more than a century and a
half of history, have enabled the shipyard to build boats intended for
different uses and to respond with innovative solutions and expertise
to the expectations of its customers, civil and military.
Baglietto Navy has been created with the aim of continuing a military
tradition that has marked the history of the shipyard since its beginning. From its first historical MAS (anti-submarine motorboat) to the
latest patrol boats built for the Guardia di Finanza (Revenue Guard
Corps), the long collaboration with the Italian and other international
Navies has allowed the shipyard to acquire competence and a wide
technical patrimony. Today the seagull brand, in full rebirth thanks to
the acquisition by the Gavio Group, (a well-established international
company operating in key sectors of development such as infrastructure and transport) wants to revive and represent its long expertise in
a perspective of contemporary military applications.
To this purpose, and with the intention of responding effectively to the
needs of its customers, the shipyard has created a Navy division, with
a new organizational structure, dedicated technical departments and
new projects that fully reflect in all respects the value and the quality
of a Baglietto product.

Caribul has been solving active and passive vibration problems for
more than forty years. We design and manufacture rubber, metal and
spring vibration dampers and sound-proofing cabins for the industrial,
naval, civil and military sectors. The high quality of the products and
services offered by Caribul is guaranteed by our three-division organisational set up:
INDUSTRIAL DIVISION: This branch of the business studies and produces anti-vibration mountings to isolate vibrations and noise generated
by machinery. We can isolate any type of machine or plant, adapting
solutions to meet all needs.
NAVAL - RAILWAY DIVISION: This sector mainly deals with problems
related to the isolation of plants or machinery assembled onboard
ships or trains.
We decided to set up an ad hoc structure for these sectors because our clients increasingly demand an all-round service. In this way
we can offer complete supply packages of components needed by
the plants and, for railways, design or simply manufacture special or
ad hoc components. Our know-how allows us to supply all types of
suspensions (BOOTHard and shock-proof) for naval machinery and
components to isolate the exhaust gas discharge lines: rubber and
steel, fixed and mobile vibration dampers, bridge crossings for pipes, sealing cones for bridge crossings both fixed and with insulated
flange.
SEISMIC RISK PROTECTION DIVISION: This sector possesses and
oversees the know-how on active and passive isolation of shocks.
We can offer the isolation of servers or control boards disturbed by
production departments or heartquake.

Cristanini company is a very strong presence all over the world in
the field of high pressure water technologies since 1972. A complete
range of systems and accessories is avaiable for firefighting and for
drilling any type of material using water mist technology.
FIRE STOP 200/300 is the fasted solution for initial firefighting in urban and out of reach areas (historical centres, area with heavy traffic,
mountain areas, etc) with a high pressure (200 Bar) water jet that
transforms water into mist. It BOOTHs out for its versatility, high mobility, low consumption of water and energy. FIRE STOP 200/300 relies
on a new technique based on the consumption of minimal amount of
atomized water at 200 bar. This allows FIRE STOP 200/300 to eliminate damages caused by traditional systems.
WJ.FE 300 MODULAR is a revolutionary system for drilling and the
first attack on suppressing fires in closed environments. It uses a patented lance employing a mixing system of abrasive and water at the
lance, result of the smartest and sophisticated engineering. This is
done without entering air into the volume where the fire is located. The
WJFE 300 modular system with its capacity of cooling, containment
and control of the flames, makes this type of intervention much more
secure, allowing the operator to act immediately from outside of the
place where the fire developed, in a safety position.

FB Design is a company established in 1971 by Fabio Buzzi, mechanical
engineer and offshore pilot, with the purpose of studying and building
high performance motor boats as well as marine transmissions known
as Trimax drives, now produced in partnership with the German ZF Corporation.
For years the main activity of the company was the competition. In more
than 40 years of activity FB Design has won a total of 52 World Championships, the Harmsworth Trophy 7 times and have set 56 world speed
records established in all existing classes, both UIM and APBA in the USA.
Due to the decline of the competitive powerboat field, the company took
advantage of the experience made in making fast racing boats and began
to extend the production also to the military field. In the last 15 years,
FB Design has developed a full range of military boats, adopted by the
top Military and Coast Guard Organisations worldwide, based on an impressive series of patents, related to hulls, drives, propellers, gearboxes,
waterjets and gas turbines.
Even if FB Design production is now mainly oriented to the military, the
company is still making very fast leisure boats for very demanding customers that want at the same time very high performances and reliability.
All the hulls, drives and fittings are always tested in the top racing and
endurance contests, which are a demanding proving ground that ensures
the highest quality.
FB Design is the only yard in the world whose craft have set world endurance and speed records in every existing class, with all types of hulls.

KONG spa started its production - where it is now - during 1977, but
its history is much older, having rise in a mechanical workshop that
Giuseppe Bonaiti set up in 1830 around Lecco - on the Lake of Como.
KONG has its roots in an area where mountaineering has always been
a widely used practice. A number of climbers - who have given reputation to alpine sports - were born hereabouts.
We may say that technical climbing has grown up with the technicians
of our company.
This is the reason why every new project studied in KONG interprets
and anticipates the final user demands, guaranteeing total functionality, safety, and care of details.

Microtem is an Italian company specialized in the design, manufacture and recondition of mechanical seals and sealing systems for the
industrial, Oil and Gas, naval and military sector.
The compnay was founded in La Spezia, and it is still there. Thanks to
our location ,near one of the main Italian ports, both for cargo handling
and shipbuilding, we had a great experience in reconditioning, over
the years, several sealing systems coming from all over the world.
The result of this extraordinary experience is our MTM400, the first
mechanical seal for propeller shaft which has introduced many innovations, internationally recognised by the EPO (European Patent Office). This sealing system, recognized by many of the professionals as
the most advanced and reliable system, now it is installed on yachts,
mega yachts, boats and military watercrafts.
Based on the mechanics of the MTM400, the MTM470 is the first
mechanical seal system for propeller shaft electronically controlled in
the world. It joins the already known mechanical revolutions with the
first system managed by a software that allows you to control on the
monitors controller or directly in the engine room the operating status
of the mechanical seals in real time.
Our development continues and there are many products that will
be presented by Microtem in the naval market, some of them have
already been tested.

Navisystem produces the most complete range of marine satellite antennas for any kind of vessel, from the small and big pleasure yachts
to the navy, merchant and cruise ships.
We produce tv, vsat, terrestrial kit, meteosat antennas from 44 to 240
cm dish. Our worldwide systems allow to sail allover the world, without
changing anything. And all the satellites will be programmed on the
control unit.
Our antennas can supply two services “all in one antenna”. Both the
internet and the vsat services so will be in only one antenna, and that
is very interesting for small boats or sailing yatchs that don’t have
enough space to install two antennas.

High level sanitation, the No Name® system Patented and highly innovative, it borns to eliminate the limestone from the water supply
to avoid malfunctions and higher energetic costs. The water supply
hosts indeed several harmful bacteria such as Legionella (dangerous
for causing pneumonia) which are attracted by limestone’s rough surface, their natural habitat.
The No Name® system dissolves inert gases in the water supply to
enhance the solvent water behaviour, bringing numerous and immediate benefits:
• total lack of chemical additives which alter the water’s quality and
corrode the water supply;
• instant reduction of water’s hardness, melting the limestone;
• natural eradication of the actual fouling in the water supply;
• drastic reduction of maintenance times and costs;
• water sanitation.
Adopting the No Name® system avoids:
• limestone and biological films formation;
• mineral deposit and consequential water supply corrosion;
• low biological quality as bad smell and taste of water.
The No Name® system doses food grade gases without altering the
phisycal/chemical water parameters which remain within the permitted limits, certified result by laboratory analysis made by the University
of Catania.

Novamarine designs and builds boats with unique technical features,
the result of a unique technology developed in over 30 years of research and development.
The technical staff of engineers, designers and highly skilled workers,
on the basis of long experience that sets it apart in the realization
of boats with exclusive technology Novamarine, develops customized
solutions based on the different requirements.
The technological development in Novamarine is expressed with the
use of advanced materials, as well as with the development of innovative construction techniques as for example the design and manufacture of the tubular filled.
This characteristic has allowed to realize Novamarine of vessels
which, in addition to ensuring their operation in any condition of use
without having the vulnerability of the classical tubular tires, are able
to offer even more space on board to be exploited in a much more
advantageous, a ship structure more solid and rigid and hydrodynamic qualities unmatched by traditional boats.
Novamarine boats are made starting from the needs of the customer
who requires development. The project, while always based on the
proven naval platforms 10, 11, 12, 14 and 22 meters, is intended in
its totality with the military or civilian personnel that will be called to
operate on these boats. Every detail is developed together with those
who use the vessels the most critical conditions.S

Rubinetterie Bresciane Bonomi was founded in 1901. It was the first
company of the Bonomi Group and it became soon known as a leader
family business in the valve production sector. Formerly our target
was the enology valve market, then we progressively oriented our
production to cocks for water and gas distribution. In 1966 Bonomi
was the first producer to make 2 pieces ball valves, which is a system
currently used by every valve producer.
We boast almost 50 years of specialization in the production of ball
valves and components for plumbing installations in the relevant ecology and home comfort markets.
We are an ever evolving company offering the newest solutions and
always renewing its passion: the constant research and development
in the market of water and gas supply and district heating have allowed us to widen our product offer to create the broadest range of
plumbing press systems and push systems.
In particular, we are proud to introduce the TURBO INOX and TURBO
CuNi advanced piping systems, specifically developed and certified
for the use on board of ships. These piping systems, thanks to their
innovative press-fitting technology, are a very cost effective and practical solution and they are also suitable for the applications on board
of the military ships, since they are qualified to shock and vibration
according to MIL / NAV BOOTHards.

Yachts, even if they’re big, are affected by sea conditions and the wakes generated by other boats. Such sea motion can cause discomfort
on board, thus reducing the pleasure of sailing, which should be enjoyable and relaxing.
You can solve all your problems with roll by using the Smartgyro stabilizer. Our technology will give you total stability both at anchor and underway, giving greater pleasure and safety on board by transforming
your boat from a rolling to a stable craft, and making your experience

Sea Shepherd Italia is a non-profit conservation organisation whose
mission is to end the destruction of habitat and slaughter of wildlife
in the world’s oceans in order to conserve and protect ecosystems
and species. Sea Shepherd Italia uses innovative direct-action tactics
to investigate, document and take action when necessary to expose and confront illegal activities on the high seas. By safeguarding
the biodiversity of our delicately balanced oceanic ecosystems, Sea
Shepherd Italia works to ensure their survival for future generations.
Sea Shepherd operates internationally without prejudice towards race,
color, nationality, religious belief, or any other consideration except for
an impartial adherence to upholding international conservation law
to protect endangered marine species and ecosystems. Those illegal
operations that we oppose routinely attempt to accuse Sea Shepherd
of being anti-Japanese, anti-Native American, or anti-Scandinavian
etc, for our opposition to illegal whaling or the killing of dolphins. We
are accused of being anti-Canadian or anti-African for opposing the
slaughter of seals. Nothing could be further from the truth. We do not
oppose Japanese or Norwegian whaling we oppose illegal whaling
as defined under international conservation law. We do not oppose
Canadian or Namibian sealing, we oppose the killing of seals. Sea
Shepherd operates outside the petty cultural chauvinism of the human
species. Our clients are whales, dolphins, seals, turtles, sea-birds, and
fish. We represent their interests. www.seashepherd.it
