Bonne fete de la Toussaint

Bonne fete de la Toussaint. Tous, nous sommes appelés à la sainteté. Nous sommes
déjà saints en puissance. Mais nous devons le devenir pleinement. La voie pour y
arriver n'est pas unique. La sainteté est une, mais les voies pour y arriver sont
multiples. Dans les petites choses de chaque jour que nous recherhons notre sainteté.
J'aime beaucoup la thoérie de Sainte Therèse de l'Enfant Jésus: "La spiritualité de la
petite voie qui consiste à chercher la sainteté en faisant bien chaque petite chose que
nous avons à faire".
Les saints, ce n'est pas seulement ceux du calendrier. Sinon que dire de tous ces
personnes qui ont peuplé nos villages, nos villes, qui ont vécu simplement leur foi, en
témoignant de leur amour pour le prochain ? Que dire de toutes ces mères de famille
qui ont peiné et se sont sacrifié pour leurs enfants et ont dédié toute leur vie au bien
de la famille ? Que penser que toutes ces personnes, loin de toutes les cameras (dans
l'oubli de tous ceux qui peuvent "canoniser") ont vécu et ont fait la volonté de Dieu ?
Les saints sont pour nous un modèle. On ne nait pas saaint, on le devient. Ils ont vécu
comme nous, ils ont souffert, ils ont aussi peché comme nous. Mais ils ont vaincu. Au
finish, ils ont donné la meilleure réponse à Dieu.
Les saints sont nos amis. Ils peuvent interceder pour nous. La dévotion à un saint
signifie établir un lien d'amitié particulière avec ce saint pour qu'il intercede pour
nous.
Jésus, dans le discours sur la montagne nous propose la voie à suivre pour atteindre la
béatitude: "Heureux... heureux... heureux...".
Aujourd'hui, plus que jamais, nous nous sommes rendus à l'évidence que le modèle
que la société moderne a voulu proposer à l'homme comme idéal de bonheur, basant
tout sur la quantité, plus que sur la qualité, sur le nombre plus que sur l'efficacité, sur
l'apparaitre, plus que sur l'etre... un modèle qui a appauvri l'homme, un modèle qui,
non seulement a créé et crée encore les pauvres (parce qu'il invente des besoins
nouveaux) et fait accroitre la distance entre la satisfaction de ces besoins et les
moyens pour y arriver... Bref un modèle qui nous amené à la crise actuelle...

Buona festa di Tutti i Santi. Siamo tutti chiamati alla santità. E già siamo santi
potenziali. Ma dobbiamo diventarlo pienamente. Il modo per fare questo non è unico.
La santità è una, ma i modi per arrivarci sono molti. E' nelle piccole cose di ogni
giorno che noi ricerchiamo la nostra santità. Mi piace tanto la teoria di S. Teresa di
Gesù Bambino: "La spiritualità della piccola via in cerca di santità facendo bene ogni
piccola
cosa
che
dobbiamo
fare."
I santi, non sono solo quelli del calendario. Altrimenti che dire di tutte quelle persone
che hanno popolato i nostri villaggi, le nostre città, che hanno vissuto la loro fede
semplicemente mostrando il loro amore per il prossimo? Che dire di tutte quelle
madri delle famiglie che hanno faticato e si sono sacrificate per i loro figli e hanno
dedicato la loro vita al bene della famiglia? Che dire di tutte quelle persone, lontane
da tutte le telecamere (nella dimenticanza di tutti coloro che possono "canonizzare")
hanno
vissuto
e
compiuto
la
volontà
di
Dio?
I santi sono modelli nostri. Non si nasce santo, ma losi diventa. Vivevano come noi,
hanno sofferto, hanno peccato come noi anche. Ma hanno vinto. Alla fine, hanno dato
la migliore risposta a Dio. Ciascuno di quello che ci vengono dati come modelli
hanno in particolare una virtu che dobbiamo imitare. Cominciamo oggi a leggere la
vita dei nostri santi per imitare le belle cose che li hanno fatto arrivare alla santità.
I santi sono nostri amici. Essi possono intercedere per noi. La devozione a un santo
significa stabilire un'amicizia con questo santo particolare per intercedere per noi.
Gesù nel discorso sulla montagna ci offre il modo per raggiungere la felicità: "Beati
... beati ... beati ...". Uno schema tutt'altro di quello che propone l'uomo moderno.
Oggi più che mai, ci siamo accorti che il modello che la società moderna ha voluto
proporre come l'ideale di felicità, basato sulla quantità piuttosto che sulla qualità, sul
numero piuttosto che sull'efficienza, sull'apparenza piuttosto che sull'essere ... un
modello che ha impoverito l'uomo, un modello che non solo ha creato e crea ancora
dei poveri (perché inventa nuove esigenze di vita non necessarie) e che aumentano la
distanza tra tali esigenze e la macanza dei mezzi per arrivare a soddisfare tutti queste
esigenze. .. In somma, un modello che ci ha portato all'attuale crisi ...

Happy feast of All Saints. All of us, we are invited to become saints. We are already saints, but in
power. We must strive to become it fully. The way to reach the holiness is not unique. Holiness is
one, but the are many ways to arrvive to. It is in doing well every little thing, every day, evry time...
that we will seek our holiness. For this, let me propose to you the idea of St. Therese of Lisieux:
"The spirituality of the little way in seeking holiness by doing well every little thing we have to do."
The saints are not the only one who are in the roman calendar. Otherwise what about all those
people who populated our villages, our cities, who have lived their faith simply by showing their
love as Jesus asks ? What about all those mothers and fathers of family who have suffred and
sacrificed themselves for their children and have dedicated their lives for the sake of the family?
What about all those people, far (away) from all "Zoom" (in forgetfulness of all those who can
"canonize"),
who
have lived
in
doing
the
will
of
God?
The saints are our model.They lived like us, they suffered, they also sinned like us. But they won.
At the finish, they gave the best answer to God. By the way, it would be better for each of us to
know very well the life of his own saint, so that he can imitate the virtue he was ixcellent in.
The saints are our friends. They can intercede for us. The devotion to a saint means to establish a
friendship with this particular saint in order to ask his help, his intercession.
Jesus in the Sermon on the Mount offers the way to achieve happiness: "Happy ... happy ... happy
...". The model that Jesus is offering, is very different from the one the modern world is giving.
Today, more than ever, we figure out that the ideal of happiness the modern society proposes is a
very wrong one. Because it's all based on the quantity rather than on the quality, on the
number rather than on the efficiency, on the appearence (aspect) rather than the "be" ... a model
that has impoverished men, a model that not only created and is still creating poors (because it
invents new needs not neccesary) but also increases the distance between these needs and the lack
of means to get them. In short, a model that brought us to the current crisis ...
