Informativa tecnica Technical information 07/02/01 n° 002/01 pag. To avoid considerable difference between the min. and max. braking torque, the axial overall dimensions of the internal components of the brake unit in the motor have been completely reviewed. The following elements have been modified: • Brake springs Springs No. 6 have been replaced with springs no. 10, which are more flexible. • Brake housing Shoulders have been modified (this component cannot be assembled with the old springs) • Closing flange Internal tolerances have been varied (this component can be used on both versions) • Brake disc Internal tolerances have been varied (this component can be used on both versions Nuova Molla/New Springs Vecchia Molla/Old Springs Corpo Freno/Brake Housing SI/YES NO Flangia di Chiusura / Closing flange SI/YES SI/YES Dischi freno/Brake disc SI/YES SI/YES Per la creazione dei motori con coppie minorate vengono riportate le seguenti formule necessarie per calcolarsi o il numero dei contatti o il numero delle molle da montare a seconda che si voglia variare o no la pressione di apertura. To create motors with reduced torque, the formulas laid out hereafter must be used to calculate either the number of contacts or the number of springs to be mounted, depending on whether opening pressure is to be varied or not. Si procederà come di seguito: XxY= Here follows an example to clarify the formulas mentioned above. The aim is to create a motor with a reduced torque of 27 daNm without changing the number of springs but varying the number of contacts. To do so, proceed as follows: 27 x 240 =184.09 35.2 Il risultato ottenuto nel caso volessimo variare il numero di contatti è da dividere per 10 molle (quelli dell’unità standard) cosi da avere: The result obtained when varying the number of contacts must be divided by 10 springs (installed in the standard unit) so as to have: Caso A) 184.09 :10 = 18.409 che possiamo arrotondare a 18 contatti Case A) 184.09 :10 = 18.409 which can be rounded to 18 contacts Se invece avessimo voluto variare il numero delle molle per ottenere la stessa coppia avremmo dovuto dividere il risultato ottenuto per 24 contatti (quelli dell’unità standard) così da avere: If on the contrary, the number of springs is to be varied, in order to obtain the same torque, the result must be divided by 24 contacts (in the standard unit) so as to have: Caso B) 184.09 : 24 = 7.6 che possiamo arrotondare a 8 molle Case B) 184.09 : 24 = 7.6 which can be rounded to 8 springs Ora possiamo calcolarci la coppia minima di frenatura che otterremo nel caso A e nel caso B: We can now calculate the minimum braking torque obtained in case A and in case B: Caso A / CaseA: Mtm = 35.2 x 18 24 =26.4 daNm Mtm = 35.2 x 8 10 =28.16 daNm Caso B / Case B: orbital division Informativa tecnica Technical information 07/02/01 n° 002/01 pag. The ARF and AGF versions are always affected by the counter-pressure acting inside the motor. This is why, when analysing the system, such value should be considered as a “reduction” in the braking capacity of the motor. Two 2 graphs shown hereafter describe how to obtain a direct and immediate reference value. Variation in the minimum granted static braking torque, depending on the number of springs and on the pressure acting on the brake piston. Variation in the minimum granted static braking torque, depending on the number of contacts and on the pressure acting on the brake. Application example: We want to identify the brake granting a minimum static torque higher than 15 daNm, with residual pressure on the system of 2.4 bar (and also in the brake chamber). The graph shows that at least a 6-spring brake is to be used, since it grants a torque of 15 daNm and it allows for complete opening with low dissipation (12.6 bar). Responsabile Uff.
