victims from avalanche snow. Together with
an avalanche transceiver and an avalanche
probe it belongs to the recommended
standard avalanche safety gear of
mountaineers or mountain rescuers.

(1) Nach erfolgreicher Punktortung gibt das Lawinenverschüttetensuchgerät
die kürzerste Entfernung zum Sende-LVS an und diese Position ist immer
rechtwinkelig zur Schneeoberfläche. (2) Rasterförmiges Sondieren mit der Sonde
PROBE: In Abständen von ca. 40 – 50 cm wird mit der Sonde PROBE rasterförmig
im Schnee eingestochen. (3) Bei Ortung des Verschütteten lassen Sie die PROBE
als Markierung im Schnee stecken. Beginnen Sie nun mit der Schaufel seitlich zum
Verschütteten zu graben (A: Verschüttungstiefe = Schaufelstart).

On-Spot probing & shoveling
(1) After pin-pointing an avalanche transceivers indicates the closest distance
to the transmitting beacon. This is perpendicular to the surface of the snow. (2)
Grid shaped probing: Using a distance of 40-50 cm while plunging with the Probe
in a shape like a grid. (3) Once the victim is hit with the probe, keep it in this
position in the snow (guidance). Start shovelling from the side to the body (A:
burial deep = distance for start)

(1) Dès que le lieu est localisé, le détecteur de victimes d’avalanche indique la
plus courte distance jusqu’au DVA émetteur. La position indiquée est toujours
perpendiculaire à la surface de la neige. (2) Sondage en forme de quadrillage
: Enfoncez la sonde PROBE dans la neige env. tous les 40-50 cm en décrivant
un quadrillage. (3) Une fois la victime localisée, laissez la sonde enfoncée dans
la neige comme repère. Commencez alors à creuser avec la pelle autour de la
sonde pour dégager la victime (A: profondeur d’ensevelissement = point où
commencer à creuser).

(1) Dopo essere riusciti a localizzare il punto, il dispositivo per la ricerca in valanga
indica la distanza minima dal trasmettitore ARDIV e questa posizione si trova sempre
ad angolo retto rispetto alla superficie nevosa. (2) Sondare con la sonda PROBE
seguendo uno schema reticolare: infilare la sonda nella neve a distanza di circa
40-50 cm seguendo questo schema reticolare. (3) Quando viene localizzato il
sepolto, lasciare inserita nella neve la sonda PROBE per marcare questo punto.
Iniziare quindi ora a spalare lateralmente rispetto al sepolto (A: Profondità del
seppellimento = distanza dalla quale iniziare a spalare)
