Aggiornamenti educativi:
Classe 1:
Classe 1 è di nuovo al lavoro pronta ad apprendere
tante cose nuove durante questo termine. Al
momento stiamo ripassando i numeri (fino al 5) ed
i colori, per poter proseguire con il nostro programma. Nelle prossime settimane apprenderemo
colori nuovi e più numeri (fino a 10).
Seguiremo inoltre i cambiamenti del tempo
atmosferico durante il nostro Circle Time del
mattino. Inizieremo ad apprendere i nomi
degli animali e i loro versi. La nostra canzone
della settimana è infatti Old MacDonald!
Stiamo diventando sempre di più buoni amici,
giorno dopo giorno, in grado ora di giocare insieme senza litigare o togliere
giocattoli ad altri bambini, avendo di conseguenza molto più divertimento.
Un'altra cosa che abbiamo appreso durante questi ultimi mesi (e sta ora
mostrando i suoi frutti in pieno) è di aspettare pazientemente il proprio turno
durante le attività svolte in classe. Siamo molto orgogliosi di questo!
Classe 2
Buon Anno a tutti! Siamo molto entusiasti di aver ripreso la scuola dopo le
vacanze natalizie!!! Abbiamo iniziato cercando di scoprire tutto sull’Inverno e i
capi di abbigliamento che indossiamo durante questo
periodo e che abbiamo poi colorato e ritagliato. A
partire da questa settimana apprenderemo tutto
sulle parti del nostro viso e del nostro corpo, abbinandole all'abbigliamento invernale. Tutti i giorni in
classe ripassiamo i numeri! Continuiamo
inoltre nel tentativo di scrivere i nostri nomi,
esplorando l’alfabeto fonetico attraverso
“Letterland”. Ricordiamo gentilmente di portare una foto di tutta la famiglia a chi non
l'abbia ancora fatto, data l'importanza per i
bambini di raccontare a tutta la classe qualcosa sulla loro famiglia.
Classe 3
Subito dopo le sante festività e le divertenti vacanze siamo tutti pronti nel
riprendere a pieno ritmo la nostra avventura dell'apprendimento.
Questo termine lo inizieremo con la facile canzone “Se sei felice e tu lo sai
batti le mani” a cui seguiranno canzoni e poesie più complesse come il Seme
Magico e la Canzone
Segreta.
I temi di questo termine
saranno la scienza, la
crescita (animali e piante), la primavera e il
letargo.

Vocabolario abbiamo
iniziato a disegnare
ogni giorno un oggetto
e a scriverne la corrispondente parola, questo al fine di aiutare i
bambini ad usare le nuove parole nel linguaggio quotidiano aumentando il loro
entusiasmo nel parlare Inglese.
Stiamo lavorando inoltre per migliorare le nostre capacità di scrittura attraverso la pratica con le lettere e imparando a leggere piccole parole enfatizzando
il suono fonetico di ciascuna lettera.
Questo termine segna inoltre l’inizio di semplici lezioni di scienze, oramai
parte del curriculum della nostra scuola negli ultimi due anni (per le classe 3 e
4). La scorsa settimana i bambini hanno fatto esperimenti utilizzando legno,
elastici e ferro per creare “gli insetti elastici” dimostrando la funzionalità degli
elastici rispetto ad altri materiali.
Classe 4
Per facilitarci con il rientro nella routine scolastica, Classe 4 ha iniziato il Termine 2 con una
settimana divertente dove abbiamo parlato dell'inverno e della neve. Ci siamo poi addentrati
in una unità enorme sulla morfologia terrestre.
Abbiamo esplorato le montagne, le isole, i vulcani, ciò che provoca i terremoti e le diverse
fonti di acqua sul nostro pianeta. Abbiamo passato molto tempo nella nostra sala libreria utilizzando il computer alla ricerca di questi argoL’eruzione del vulcano di classe 4!
menti. Nella lezione pomeridiana di Scienze
abbiamo osservato un vulcano in eruzione!
Abbiamo contato “ansiosamente” il numero dei giorni in cui siamo stati a scuola a
partire dal primo giorno in Settembre. Dico con ansia perché al 100' giorno di
scuola (che sarà intorno alla fine di Febbraio) avremo un party “Cento Giorni”! In
classe abbiamo iniziato il Club dei Cento e ci auguriamo che tutti ne faranno
parte per quando festeggeremo il 100' giorno di scuola. Ogni volta che ne avete
la possibilità, in auto sulla strada tra casa e scuola per esempio, cercate di aiutare il vostro bambino facendo pratica contando da 1 a 100.
Abbiamo un altro gruppo di studenti che presto porteranno a casa il Venerdì dei
libri da leggere. Questa attività a basso livello di stress, sarà per voi un'opportunità di sedere con il vostro bambino e lasciare che lui/lei vi legga il libro e vi descriva la storia attraverso le immagini. Terminata la lettura è sempre un'ottima idea
parlare del libro; ad esempio, se gli è piaciuta la storia, quale è la sua parte o
personaggio preferito, qual'è la sua immagine preferita, chiedetegli di ripetervi la
storia questa volta senza leggerla.

Arte:
In arte per il prossimo Febbraio Classe 2 continuerà con il progetto artistico di
Letterland utilizzando tanti materiali diversi e coloratissimi quali gessetti, acqua-
relli e matite ad acqua.
Classe 3 sarà impegnata
con la progettazione e la
creazione di mostri propri,
mentre Classe 4 costruirà
vulcani e creerà paesaggi
artistici.

Musica:
Nella musica tutte le classi saranno impegnate ad
apprendere circa gli strumenti a percussione e
saranno in grado di identificare la ripetizione di
sequenze ritmiche.
Ginnastica:
Finalmente in palestra lavoreremo sulle nostre abilità con la palla tra cui lanciarla, prenderla e calciarla con controllo e sicurezza.
Una nota della Direttrice
Cari Genitori,
Questo mese ha segnato l’inizio di un secondo trimestre luminoso, proprio
come i giorni che lentamente si stanno allungando.
Programma pomeridiano
Siamo lieti di fornire il calendario delle attività pomeridiane programmate per il secondo
trimestre (vedi di seguito) il quale include
laboratorio musicale, computer, scienza,
teatro e tanta, tanta arte! Ricordiamo che
tutti i bambini sono benvenuti nel partecipare a tutte queste attività a tempo pieno, o
ad-hoc.
Iscrizioni per l'anno scolastico 2011/12
I genitori dei bambini iscritti a Little Genius
International che sono interessati a mandare altri fratelli/sorelle alla nostra scuola sono
pregati di contattare al più presto la segreteria della scuola. Ricordiamo infatti che i
posti per l'ammissione in classe 1 sono limitati e che sono giornalmente assegnati a nuovi iscritti. Tali posti non possono
essere riservati e garantiti senza il pagamento della corrispondente tassa di
iscrizione.
Uniforme Scolastica
I genitori sono invitati ad acquistare la divisa estiva della scuola, le nuove
scorte saranno disponibili a partire da metà Febbraio. Sarà inoltre disponibile,
sempre a Febbraio, la nuova versione dello zainetto scolastico di Little Genius
International.
Come promesso, dopo la chiusura della raccolta fondi
indetta dall’ASD EQUIN’OZIO presso la scuola LITTLE
GENIUS INTERNATIONAL, l’Associazione ha il piacere
di rendicontare lo sforzo sostenuto da tutti coloro che
hanno voluto parteciparvi: sono stati raccolti ben 48,80
euro che verranno impiegati oculatamente e parsimoniosamente .
Grazie a tutti dai bambini diversamente abili del settore ippoterapia dell'ASD
Equin’ozio!

Role-play occurs in all early years settings and forms an obvious route to the achievement of the
early learning goal, ‘Use language to imagine and recreate roles and experiences’
(Communication, language and literacy).
Why is role-play important?
•
Role-play allows children to engage in, explore and learn about the everyday roles that
occur in their familiar experience; the roles carried out by their parents or carers and members of
their community.
•
Role-play allows children to express their emotions, positive and negative, in appropriate
ways.
•
Role-play allows children to explore their own self-image and identity. It helps to build self
esteem.
