Peruvian baritone, Jose Sacin, has performed as a soloist with the Washington Opera, the Baltimore
Opera, Opera Camerata of Washington, Opera de Lima, the Caramoor International Festival, Brevard
Music Festival, Opera North, Chamber Opera of Washington, the Annapolis Opera, Zarzuela Di Si,
National Symphony of Lima Peru, the Choral Arts Society of Washington DC, the Pan American
Symphony Orchestra, Opera International, Opera Diaspora, and others. Sacin’s operatic roles have
included Silvio (Pagliacci), Alfio (Cavalleria Rusticana), Count Almaviva (Le Nozze di Figaro), Belcore
(L’elisir d’amore), title roles in Rigoletto and Don Giovanni, Rodrigo (Don Carlo), Valentin (Faust),
Sharpless (Madama Butterfly), Schaunard (La Boheme), Father (Hansel and Gretel), and Angelotti
(Tosca). Zarzuela roles include Juan (Los Gavilanes), Vidal Hernando (Luisa Fernanda), Juan de Eguia (La
Tabernera del Puerto), Querubini (El Duo de la Africana), Lamparilla (El Barberillo de Lavapies) among
others. Jose Sacin has performed in such prestigious venues as the Kennedy Center, Teatro Segura in
Lima, numerous embassies in Washington DC, the Kosciuszko Foundation in New York City, Teatro
Nacional in San Jose, Costa Rica, the US Department of State, the National Gallery of Art, the Library of
Congress, Montpellier Cultural Arts Center, the Corcoran Gallery of Art, Mexican Cultural Institute, the
National Theatre and the Lyceum of Old Town Alexandria.
