Wir beginnen beim Hotel Restaurant Castel Belfort
gerade oberhalb Spormaggiore und fahren die
S.S. 421 hinauf bis zu einer Abzweigung, wo es
links nach Fai della Paganella geht.
Wir bleiben auf der steil ansteigenden
Provinzstraße bis zum Ort Santel.
Dort verlassen wir den asphaltierten Weg und
beim Kirchlein Santa Libera schlagen wir links
den Schotterweg ein (wir negieren Schranke
und Verbotsschild) hinauf zum Monte Fausior.
An der ersten Abzweigung links mit Hinweis
“Malga Val dei Brenzi” bringt uns ein steiler
Abstieg mit teilweise exponierten Stellen – gute
Fahrtechnik erforderlich – zum Fauna Park von
Spormaggiore. (Ein Besuch an den Fauna Park
lohnt sich – Eintritt gegen Bezahlung.) Immer den
Hinweisen Spormaggiore folgen.
Unten angekommen biegen wir links ab und
fahren Richtung Castel Belfort zum
Ausgangspunkt.
From the Castel Belfort hotel/restaurant (located
immediately above the centre of Spormaggiore)
go up the Road No.421 to a fork on the left
signposted Fai della Paganella; take the difficult
climb to “Santel”.
Leave the tarmac road and in the vicinity of the
church of Santa Libera go left onto a white road
(barrier) which takes you up to Monte Fausior.
The first fork to the left (signposted “Malga Val
dei Brenzi”) will take you on a steep difficult
(exposed in certain places) descent to the
Spormaggiore Parco Faunistico (follow the signs
for Spormaggiore).
At the bottom of the descent (we recommend
entering the park – admission fee) turn left and
follow the signs for Castel Belfort to return to the
departure point.

Partendo dall’albergo/ristorante Castel Belfort
(situato subito a monte dell’abitato di
Spormaggiore) risaliamo la strada statale 421
fino ad un bivio sulla sinistra con indicazioni Fai
della Paganella; risaliamo l’impegnativa salita
fino ad arrivare in località “Santel”.
Abbandoniamo la strada asfaltata e nei pressi
della chiesetta di Santa Libera si imbocca a
sinistra una strada bianca (stanga con divieto),
che in continua salita ci porta al Monte Fausior.
Il primo bivio che incontriamo a sinistra
(indicazioni “Malga Val dei Brenzi”) è quello che
ci condurrà con una ripida (in alcuni tratti
esposta) e tecnica discesa al Parco Faunistico
di Spormaggiore (si seguono sempre le
indicazioni per Spormaggiore). Arrivati in fondo
alla discesa (consigliamo l’entrata al parco – a
pagamento) svoltiamo a sinistra e seguendo le
indicazioni per Castel Belfort ci riportiamo al
punto di partenza.
