WELCOME TO IMPACT PALERMO 2013
This week will feature is a city-wide outreach initiative, promoted and organized by the Pentecostal
European Fellowship (PEF) with its branches PEM & PEFY Teams, under the auspices of the Elim
Churches in Italy, and in cooperation with the Palermo Pastors Fellowship.
In keeping with PEF's evangelistic vision for today’s spiritual need of Europe, youth teams from Europe,
and local churches are joining hands in this evangelistic effort in the wonderful city of Palermo, capital
of the Sicilian region, an important urban center, with about 700.000 inhabitants.
Since 2000, under the umbrella of the PEF, annual outreaches have taken place in major European
cities such as Helsinki, Berlin, Brussels, Oslo, Madrid, Stockholm, Budapest and Luxembourg. Together, in the power of the Holy Spirit, let's go and share the glorious message of the Easter, knowing
that the Gospel is still the power of God for the salvation of all those who believe.
BENVENUTI A IMPACT PALERMO 2013
Questa settimana ci vedrà impegnati in una serie di attività evangelistiche, promosse e organizzate
dalla Comunione Pentecostale Europea (PEF) con i suoi rami PEM & PEFY Teams, sotto gli auspici delle
Chiese Elim in Italia, in collaborazione con la Comunione Pastorale della provincia di Palermo (CEP).
In conformità alla visione evangelistica della PEF, considerando l'attuale bisogno spirituale nel nostro
continente, squadre di giovani da diverse parti d'Europa e chiese locali del palermitano uniscono le
loro forze per questa missione nella bellissima città di Palermo, capo-luogo della regione Siciliana e
centro urbano importante con ben 700.000 abitanti.
Dal 2000 ad oggi, la PEF ha realizzato simili missioni in altre principali città d'Europa come: Helsinki,
Berlino, Bruxelles, Oslo, Madrid, Stoccolma, Budapest e Lussemburgo.
Insieme, nella potenza dello Spirito Santo, possiamo condividere con gioia il glorioso messaggio di
Pasqua, consapevoli che l'Evangelo è ancora la potenza di Dio per la salvezza di chiunque crede.

of utmost importance to be on time everywhere!

5.Don’t get trapped in vain discussions but be a witness
for Jesus
6.Don’t provoke other religions/religious groups.
7.Don’t accept invitations to visit people in their homes.
In case someone wants a visit, take his/her contact
information and give them further to one of the
leadership team of the IP13.
8.Behave and dress in a proper manner.
9.Keep the city clean (rubbish into rubbish bins).
10.On the streets it is not advised to keep valuable
things along.
11.Respect the non-smoking signs and areas.
12.Take care of the things and property that you will be
trusted with during the IP13 (of the hotel and of the
church that receives you).
13.Young men and women meet each other in a spirit
of pure friendship. It is asked not to meet privately in
the rooms.
14.Be honest to report any possible damages.
15.Don’t respond to provocations.
16.Give all filled decisions cards you get to your team
leader, who will give them to the outreach
coordinators.
17.After IP13 give feedback concerning your
experience to outreach coordinators.

Jippii – Reaching World with Children
Jippii Children Ministry is a mission ministry for reaching the world with children. 1/3 of the world’s population is under
18-years old, so it is not surprise God is using children to reach their own generation. Jippii Children Ministry uses Jippii
songs and dramas as tools to spread gospel and vision for missions. The songs have a clear message about the name
and blood of Jesus, the Word of God, the power of Holy Spirit and the vision for missions. When Jippii singers are
singing “who will go tell them, if we will not go”, they really want to be involved in missions and go around the world
and share a good news to everyone.
Jippii Children Ministry started in 1998 as a children ministry of Fida International, which is the mission organization of
Pentecostal Churches in Finland.
“In the beginning we just had a vision about sharing gospel and a vision for missions for children”, says Outi Rossi, the
“mother” of the Jippii Ministry.
From the small beginning in Finland Jippii has spread to different churches and
denominations in different countries. Today there are over 100 children choirs
involved in this ministry in Finland, and 77 languages in the translation program
of the Jippii songs. More than 20 Jippii albums have been recorded in
different languages. In 2013 Jippii songs will be recorded in Japan, Nepali,
Lithuanian, Estonian, Russian and Turkemen languages. Concerts and
mission trips are organized for children. This is a miracle of God!
Jippii will make a mission trip to Palermo, Italy on Easter, 2013. About 40
children singers from Finland and Lithuania are practicing Jippii songs in
Italian and English in order to tell Italian children and families about Jesus.
There are also adults coming with children, so there will be almost 70
people wearing yellow t-shirts and praising God in Sicily.
“We are praying, that God opens even the hardest heart, when the joyful
children choir will sing “Trovato ho Gesú” in Palermo Squares on Easter. Kids
testimonies are very powerful”, says Merja Hakala, who is leading Jippii mission trip with her
husband Aku.
Jippii - Raggiungere il mondo attraverso I bambini
Il ministerio di Jippii per i bambini nasce con la missione di raggiungere il
mondo attraverso i bambini. 1/3 della popolazione mondiale ha meno di
18 anni, quindi non è una sorpresa se Dio sta usando i bambini per
raggiungere la loro generazione.
Jippii utilizza le proprie canzoni e scenette come strumenti per diffondere
il Vangelo e la visione per le missioni.
Le canzoni hanno un messaggio chiaro circa il nome e il sangue di Gesù,
la Parola di Dio, la potenza dello Spirito Santo e la visione per le missioni.
Quando il coro Jippii canta: "chi andrà a raccontare, se noi non
andiamo", in realtà vogliono essere coinvolti in missioni, andare in giro
per il mondo e condividere una buona notizia per tutti.
Jippii ha iniziato nel 1998 come un ministerio della
Fida International, che è
l'organizzazione missionaria delle Chiese pentecostali in Finlandia.
"All'inizio avemmo una visione sulla condivisione evangelica e una visione missionaria per i bambini", dice Outi Rossi,

"Stiamo pregando che Dio apra anche il cuore più duro, quando questo gioioso coro di bambini
cantera: “Trovato ho Gesù" nelle piazze di Palermo il giorno di Pasqua. Le testimonianze dei bambini
sono molto potenti", dice Merja Hakala, che guida la spedizione con il marito Aku.

Our Pentecostal
Family in Europe
The Pentecostal European Fellowship (PEF) came into being as the merge between the EPF and the PEC during the
1987 PEC in Lisbon (Portugal).
The EPF (European Pentecostal Fellowship) was started in 1966 in a meeting that was convened in Rome (Italy),
which developed into an annual fraternal gathering of Pentecostal leaders across Europe, under the chairmanship
of the late Rev. Eric Dando (United Kingdom), later succeeded by Rev. Reinhold Ulonska (Germany).
The PEC (Pentecostal European Conference) began in 1969 in Nyhem (Sweden), as an initiative of Pastor Lewi
Pethrus (Sweden), who appointed Rev. Jacob Zopfi (Switzerland) as the chairman of PEC.A triennial conference
held in numerous European cities since then.
In 1987 the two streams EPF and PEC formed the PEF, and Jacob Zopfi served as its Chairman until 2001, followed
by Pastor Ingolf Ellssel (Germany) who served as Chairman of PEF until March 2013. The new Chairman of PEF is
Dr. Arto Hämälainen from Finland.
In 2005, the PEF adopted a Constitution and received legal recognition in Belgium as an international non-profit
association. In the same year PEF opened its head office in the Brussels area, and hired a full-time Coordinator
serving there.
Today, PEF has 53 national members in 36 countries, plus other associate members and fraternal contacts,
representing some 3 million Pentecostals in Europe. Since 2011, PEF is also a member of the Pentecostal World
Fellowship (PWF), representing our global Pentecostal family.
Over the last 10 years, PEF has strengthened
its evangelistic vision by mobilizing young
people around Europe for city-wide
outreaches in the capitals of Europe. After
Helsinki (2000) and Berlin (2003), IMPACT
outreaches have taken place in Brussels
(2006), Oslo (2007), Madrid (2008), Vienna
(2009), Stockholm (2010), Budapest (2011),
Luxembourg (2012) in conjunction with
parallel Pentecostal conferences.
The next Impact outreacg will take place in
Bratislava, Slovaquia, in June 2014.
While the vision for a greater spiritual impact
on Europe is carried by PEF, it is implemented
in different arenas through its branches: PEM,
PEFY, EPPA, PEF-W, PEF-SM, PEF-African
churches, and other networks, including our
cooperative fellowship with EPTA
(theological institutions).

La nostra famiglia

La Comunione Pentecostale Europea (PEF) nasce dalla fusione tra EPF e la PEC durante l’evento PEC nel 1987 a
Lisbona (Portogallo).
La EPF (Comunione Pentecostale Europea) partì nel 1966 in un incontro tenutosi a Roma (Italia), che si sviluppò in
un fraterno incontro annuale dei leader pentecostali di tutta Europa, sotto la presidenza del Rev. Eric Dando
(Regno Unito) , poi succeduto dal Rev. Reinhold Ulonska (Germania).
La PEC (Conferenza Pentecostale Europea) iniziò nel 1969 a Nyhem (Svezia), per iniziativa del pastore Lewi Pethrus
(Svezia), che nominò il Rev. Jacob Zopfi (Svizzera), come presidente della PEC. Da allora si tiene una conferenza
triennale in numerose città europee.
Nel 1987 i rami EPF e PEC formarono la PEF, e Jacob Zopfi servì come presidente fino al 2001, seguito dal Pastore
Ingolf Ellssel (Germania), rimasto in carica al marzo del 2013. Il nuovo presidente del PEF è il Dott. Arto Hämäläinen
dalla Finlandia.
Nel 2005, la PEF ha adottato una Costituzione e ha ricevuto il riconoscimento legale in Belgio come associazione
internazionale senza scopo di lucro. Nello stesso anno ha aperto la sua sede principale nella regione di Bruxelles, e

Oggi, la PEF conta 53 membri in 36 paesi, più altri membri associati e contatti fraterni, in rappresentanza di circa 3

attraverso la mobilitazione di giovani in tutta Europa per attività tenute nelle
capitali Europee. Dopo Helsinki (2000) e Berlino (2003), IMPACT hanno avuto
luogo a Bruxelles (2006), Oslo (2007), Madrid (2008), Vienna (2009), Stoccolma
(2010), Budapest (2011), Lussemburgo (2012) in concomitanza di conferenze
pentecostali.
Il prossimo Impact si terrà a Bratislava, Slovacchia, nel mese di giugno 2014.
Mentre la visione di un maggiore impatto spirituale sull'Europa è mandata avanti
dalla PEF, viene implementata dalle diverse diramazioni: PEM, PEFY, EPPA, PEF-W,
PEF-SM, PEF-chiese africane, ed altre reti, tra cui la nostra comunione di
collaborazione con l’EPTA (istituti teologici).

Brief History of the Elim Churches in Italy
OUR HOst movement
The "Elim Churches in Italy" are an association of Pentecostal churches spread all
over the Italian territory. Their birth is quite recent ; as a matter of fact, this
Asssociation was legally established on September 6, 1993.
In a providential way, God connected seven pastors who formed the very first
Executive Board and rapidly decided to start an association of churches which
would be linked by the same fellowship of faith and doctrine, based on the
Scriptures, while maintaing their own form of government.
Immediately after the formation of the Association, an affiliation with the “Elim Pentecostal Churches” of
Great Britain
(a British Pentecostal movement founded in 1915 by Welsh evangelists George and Stephen
Jeffreys), was requested and obtained.
“Elim” is the name of the oasis in the Sinai desert with 12 wells of water and 70 palms, where the Israelites
camped at a time when they were weary and thirsty (Exodus 15:27).
To many people life is like a desert and the « Elim Churches » desire to be an oasis for them, one offering
refuge and refreshing.
Indeed, from 1915 to 1950, George Jeffreys had a powerful evangelistic ministry, marked by the supernatural
work of God. Thousands of people were transformed and healed through his preaching. He is still viewed as
the greatest evangelist of England after Wesley and Whitefield.
The same desire drives the leaders of the « Elim Churches in Italy”: to encourage the preaching of God's
authoritative Word of God, in the power of the Holy Spirit, which is
able to bring people to real repentance by abandoning their own
sins, so that the Lord would send a mighty revival that can change
the spiritual climate in our families, in our churches and in our nation, in
accordance with the Divine promises (2 Chronicles 7:14; Isaiah
55:6-11; Joel 2:12-13, 28-32; Acts 2:38-39; 1 Corinthians 2:1-5).
As of February 25, 2013, Elim has 124 Churches over the whole Italian
territory, with 186 associates, as each church has the right to be
represented by a maximun of 3 elders.
A number of pastors have already been recognized by the Ministry of
Interior while others are still waiting for the same legal status.
Every year, national and regional Conventions are organized, offering
Bible studies and fellowship, meetings for pastors and for young
people. Recently, Bible training courses have been instituted in
different locations. Furthermore, the October 29, 1996 decree by the Ministry of Interior, published in the
« Gazzetta Ufficiale » dated November 16, 1996, has registered our legally recognized credential holders in the
Pensions Fund. Also, an application for legal status as a Movement has been submitted to the Ministry of
Interior. It should be granted as soon as the new government will be formed.
To our Association is also linked a Publishing House called “PUBLIELIM” with headquarters in Via Biella, 17 –
20143 Milan, which has already produced over 90 books written by well-known authors in the Pentecostal
world (www.publielim.org).
The Association, of which Pastor Giuseppe Piccolo is the current President, is part of the « Federazione delle
Chiese Pentecostali » (F.C.P. - www.fcpitalia.org), a federation of Pentecostal movements. Both the « Elim
Churches in Italy » and the FCP are members of the P.E.F..
On May 14, 2012 the « Elim Churches in Italy » signed an agreement of spiritual fellowship with the ADI,
“Assemblies of God in Italy” (www.assembleedidio.org), which represents the historical movement of the
Italian Pentecostal revival.

Brevi cenni storici delle Chiese Elim in Italia
Movimento ospitante
Le “Chiese Elim in Italia” sono un’associazione di chiese di fede pentecostale sparse
su tutto il territorio nazionale. Esse sono nate in data abbastanza recente: infatti,
l’Associazione è stata costituita con atto notarile registrato a Milano in data 6
settembre 1993.
Dio provvidenzialmente mise in contatto tra loro sei dei sette pastori che hanno fatto
parte del primo Comitato Esecutivo ed in breve tempo decisero di dar vita ad un’associazione di chiese le
quali, pur conservando la propria forma di governo, fossero legate dalla stessa comunione di fede e di
dottrina, basate sulle Scritture.
Subito dopo la costituzione dell’Associazione, venne chiesta ed ottenuta l’affiliazione alle “Elim Pentecostal
Churches” di Gran Bretagna, il movimento pentecostale britannico fondato nel 1915 dagli evangelisti gallesi
George e Stephen Jeffreys.
“Elim” è il nome dell’oasi nel deserto del Sinai con 12 sorgenti d’acqua e 70 palme dove si accamparono gli
Israeliti stanchi, impolverati, accaldati ed assetati (Esodo 15:27).
Per molte persone la vita è come un deserto e le “Chiese Elim” volevano essere per queste persone come
un’oasi in cui trovare rifugio e ristoro.
Dal 1915 al 1950, infatti, George Jeffreys svolse un efficace ministero evangelistico caratterizzato dal
soprannaturale. Migliaia di persone furono trasformate e guarite tramite la sua
predicazione. Ancora oggi è considerato il più grande evangelista
dell’Inghilterra dopo Wesley e Whitefield.
Questo è anche il desiderio che anima i responsabili delle “Chiese Elim in
Italia” : incoraggiare una predicazione basata sull’autorevole Parola di Dio,
fatta nella potenza dello Spirito Santo e capace di suscitare nei cuori degli
uomini un reale pentimento e l’abbandono dei propri peccati, perché il
Signore mandi un potente risveglio che possa cambiare il clima spirituale delle
nostre famiglie, delle nostre chiese e della nostra nazione, in armonia con le
promesse divine (2 Cronache 7:14; Isaia 55:6-11; Gioele 2:12-13, 28-32; Atti
2:38-39; 1 Corinzi 2:1-5).
Alla data del 25 febbraio 2013 risultano associate 124 Chiese, distribuite su
tutto il territorio italiano, con un numero di 186 soci, in quanto ogni chiesa ha la facoltà di proporre come soci
fino ad un massimo di 3 anziani.
Diversi pastori hanno già ottenuto la nomina a ministro di culto da parte del Ministero dell’Interno, mentre altri
la stanno attendendo.
Ogni anno vengono organizzati dei Convegni nazionali e regionali di studio biblico e di edificazione, incontri

29 ottobre 1996 del Ministero dell’Interno, pubblicato sulla Gazzetta Ufficiale del 16 novembre 1996, è stata
riconosciuta l’iscrizione al Fondo di previdenza dei ministri di culto dell’Associazione. È stata anche presentata
al Ministero dell’Interno l’istanza per il riconoscimento giuridico del Movimento, la cui concessione dovrebbe
avvenire non appena si sarà formato il nuovo Governo.
All’Associazione è legata anche una Casa editrice denominata “PUBLIELIM” con sede in Via Biella, 17 – 20143
Milano, che ha già pubblicato oltre 90 libri di ben noti autori nel campo pentecostale mondiale
(www.publielim.org).
L’Associazione, di cui l'attuale presidente è il pastore Giuseppe Piccolo, fa parte della Federazione delle
Chiese Pentecostali (F.C.P. - www.fcpitalia.org). Entrambe le “Chiese Elim in Italia” e la FCP sono membri della
P.E.F.
Il 14 maggio 2012 le “Chiese Elim in Italia” hanno stipulato un accordo di comunione spirituale con le
“Assemblee di Dio in Italia” (www.assembleedidio.org), movimento storico del risveglio pentecostale italiano.

Siegfried Tomazsewski (Germany) has served for many years in the "CfaN" ministry, alongside Reinhard Bonnke. More
recently, Siegfried started "Calling Ministry"and travels around the world as an evangelist. He is also the new Treasurer
of the P.E.F..

Hannelore Illgen (Germany) is the national leader of "Frauen mit Vision" (Women with Vision) of the Pentecostal
movement in Germany (BFP), co-editor of GEISTbewegt (national publication of BFP), Coordinator of the PEF-Women
branch, and active in in a number of other ministries in Europe.

Ingolf Ellssel (Germany), senior pastor of the Pentecostal church in Tostedt for 30 years, and former President of the
BFP movement and former Chairman of the P.E.F.. He is also serving as Executive member of the Pentecostal World
Fellowship (PWF) and Co-Chair of the "E21" European Cabinet.
