New Technowrapp’s pallet wrappers: three patents to renew the end of line
market
Technowrapp is a company specialized on design and manufacturing of automatic stretch wrappers for palettized
loads and pallet handling systems.
Born with the aim of going beyond the market’s standards, Technowrapp is all along sure that there is still something to
invent in the market of wrapping machines. We believe that innovation and research of new solutions have to be at the
bottom
of
a
new
technologic
market
like
the
pallet
wrappers
one
is.
In 2014, the company introduced two fundamentally new and patented products to the market: Runner Arm and Twin
Ring.
Runner Arm, automatic stretch wrapping machine with rotary arm, is
one of the biggest result gained by Technowrapp’s technicians. They
combined the high performance of a rotary ring stretch wrapper to the
ease of use and maintenance of a rotary arm stretch wrapper.
To increasing the speed of a rotary arm pallet wrapping machine, the
main obstacle you find is the centrifugal force that brings the arm to
move outwards during rotation. In order to counteract this force, we set
a containing ring at the base of the arm that works as a runner for the
arm during rotation. In order to increase even more the speed of the
wrapping cycle, our technicians invented another patented for the cut
and sealing device: once the pallet wrapping is concluded, the film is
cut and, while the pallet is going out from the wrapping area, the device
welds the film following the pallet exit and allowing to a new pallet an
early entry in the wrapping area.
These two patents allows to accelerate the wrapping process, reaching
the incomparable result of 136 pallets per hour with 10 turns of
wrapping. With these data, Runner Arm wins the title of world’s fastest rotary arm pallet wrapping machine.
Twin Rings is an automatic stretch wrapping machine with double ring
patented by Technowrapp. The patent counteracts the centrifugal force
exerted on the pre-stretch carriage during rotation. The theory of this
patent is similar to the Runner Arm one: a ring that counteract the
centrifugal force.
For Twin Rings the benefits are: less stress is exerted on the entire
structure; the aluminium rotary ring and the pre-stretch carriage no long
require heavy structures to contain the torsion; ring acceleration and
stopping reach new records as they no longer bear useless weights;
the two rings leave the entire surface of the carriage free and
consequently the operator can change the reel in an easy way.
Twin Rings wraps 120 pallets in an hour with 10 layers of wrapping and,
like every Technowrapp’s pallet wrappers, it has an electronic prestretch carriage, as standard, that wraps a pallet with only 76 grams
of film (performance obtained with pallet 800X1.200 mm, height 1.500
mm and standard reel of film, thickness 23μm).
The three patents studied for this stretch wrapping machines introduce
unique and exclusive innovations to end of line world and they change
the history of pallet wrapping machines, always more customized for
production’s needs. In Technowrapp the research of new solutions never ends.

Nuovi avvolgipallet Technowrapp: tre brevetti per rivoluzionare il mercato del
fine linea
Technowrapp è un’azienda specializzata nella progettazione e produzione di avvolgitori automatici di carichi
palettizzati con film estensibile e sistemi di movimentazione pallet.
Nata con l’obiettivo di superare gli standard di mercato, Technow rapp è co nvinta che nel mercato degli avvolgitori non
tutto sia già stato scritto, ma crede invece che l’innovazione e la ricerca di nuove soluzioni debbano essere alla base
del proprio mercato.
Nel 2014, l'azienda ha presentato al mercato due prodotti nuovi e brevettati: Runner Arm e Twin Rings.
Runner Arm, avvolgipallet automatico a braccio rotante, è uno dei più
grandi risultati raggiunti dai tecnici Technowrapp, che sono riusciti a
coniugare le elevate prestazioni di una macchina ad anello alla
semplicità di utilizzo e di manutenzione di una macchina a braccio.
Il principale ostacolo che si presenta nell’aumentare la velocità di
rotazione di un braccio è la forza centrifuga, che porta il braccio a
flettere verso l’esterno. Per contrastare questa forza, alla base
dell’area di rotazione del braccio della Runner Arm, è stato posizionato
un anello che contiene e guida il braccio durante l’avvolgimento. Per
aumentare ulteriormente la rapidità del ciclo di avvolgimento, è stato
modificato anche il sistema di taglio e saldatura del film: una volta
concluso l’avvolgimento del pallet, il film viene tagliato e, mentre il
pallet viene condotto fuori dalla zona di avvolgimento, il dispositivo
salda il film seguendo il pallet in uscita, permettendo così ad un nuovo
pallet di entrare subito nella zona di avvolgimento.
Questi due brevetti consentono di velocizzare il processo di
avvolgimento, arrivando all’ineguagliabile risultato di 136 pallet/ora
con 10 giri di avvolgimento. Con questi numeri, Runner Arm è diventata l’avvolgipallet a braccio rotante più veloce
del mondo.
Twin Rings è invece un avvolgipallet automatico con doppio anello
brevettato, in grado di contrastare la forza centrifuga esercitata sul
carrello di prestiro durante la rotazione. Il principio del brevetto è simile
a quello applicato alla Runner Arm: un anello per contrastare la forza
centrifuga. Ma i vantaggi in questo caso sono i seguenti: l’intera
struttura è meno sollecitata; l’anello rotante in alluminio e il carrello di
prestiro non hanno più bisogno di pesanti strutture necessarie per il
contenimento della torsione esercitata sull’anello dal carrello;
accelerazione e fermata dell’anello, scaricati di pesi inutili, sono da
record; i due anelli lasciano l’intera superficie del carrello libera
agevolando l’operazione di cambio bobina da parte dell’operatore.
Twin Rings riesce ad avvolgere 120 pallet all’ora con 10 giri di
avvolgimento e, come tutti gli avvolgipallet Technowrapp, è dotato di
un carrello di prestiro elettronico di serie che riesce ad avvolgere un
pallet con solo 76 grammi di film (performance ottenuta con pallet
800X1.200 mm, di altezza 1.500 mm, con 10 giri di avvolgimento e
bobina di film standard con spessore 23μm).
I tre brevetti applicati alle due nuove macchine introducono novità
uniche ed esclusive nel mondo del fine linea, rivoluzionando la storia
degli avvolgitori di carichi palettizzati, per avvicinarsi sempre di più alle
necessità produttive dei clienti. In Technowrapp la ricerca di nuove soluzioni non finisce mai.
