C o m p a t i b i l i t à elettromagnetica CEI EN50081-1 CEI EN50082-2 Technical specifications Functions Compatibility (Fig. 6) The mass memory module is born for two different utilizations: • Mass memory expansion for Picosyst ME and Netsyst systems. • Backup data cartridge from and to Picosyst ME and Netsyst systems. In the case of use as expansion mass memory, will be sufficient to verify that, during development of your application with Remoter 8.x, the right libraries will be used as described in the table in Fig. 6. Connection 2 The module is directly pluggable into the I C Bus expansion connector of Picosyst ME and Netsyst systems (see Fig. 2). In the case in which it is used as expansion mass memory it will remain installed permanently in the system and it will have to be allowed the writing. (switch in pos. Normal Operation Fig. 4). In the case in which it it is used for backup, the module will only have to be plugged in the system for the necessary time for the completion of said operations, after that it will have to be removed. To guarantee of accidental writings on the backup modules, the switch will have to be set on Write protect (Fig. 4) at the end of the writing process. BEWARE! Before inserting the module in the I2C Bus connector, removE the power to the system. In contrary case the devices may be permanently damaged. Status signalling (Fig. 3) In the case of use as backup cartridge, the state of process progress is signalled through flashes of LED RUN placed on all our controllers. The number of flashes of the LED informs of the running state like in Fig. 3. In the case of use as cartridge for data/program backup, it is necessary instead to verify that the BIOS of your product supports the operations with the Module. The informations about this are described in the online guide of Remoter at paragraph software Version. In the table in Fig. 6, in function of the operation to be executed, are indicated the necessary requirements. As it can be noticed from the table, in order to carry out the program/data backup and restore operations, it is necessary to have a product with a BIOS version as indicated in the table, and, only for the operations of backup, Remoter from version 8.2. The necessary commands for the backup operations are described in the online guide of Remoter. The restore procedure does not need any equipment, simply the user will have to plug the cartridge containing the program to be loaded into the I2C slot, to switch on the device, and to wait the end of the procedure, indicated by 10 flash of LED RUN (see Fig. 3). The completion of the procedure require some minutes, during which the system does not have to be switched off. The BIOS upgrading by the Customer is not possible, as also it is not possible the use of the module as backup Cartridge on Netreader systems. EMC The device meets the EMC directive in reference to the standards CEI EN50081-1 (generic standard on the issue regarding residential environments, commercial and of the light industry) and CEI EN50082-2 (generic standard on immunity regarding the industrial environments).
