This hotel is a bit more expensive but very close to the conference centre (5 minute
walk).It is a 4 star hotel and and they quoted Euro 135,00 single room and 190,00 for a
twin. This is the special price for the conference guests so if you decide to book there
remember to mention you are coming for the Manzoni/Bocconi conference.

It is a 5 minute walk from underground stop Romolo (green line). This is not so close
(about 30 minutes from conference centre. However one of the delegations used it last
year and were very pleased because it also has a restaurant which serves meals at a
good price.

Remember Milan is a city which has several Trade Fairs throughout the year as well
as Fashion Events and so it is wise to book as soon as possible.
Wednesday afternoon (9TH April) on our school premises in Via Deledda, 11. This is
just behind Piazza Loreto (3 minutes from underground stop Loreto - red and green
line).
We will be carrying out registration and lobbying from 15.00 to 17.30 approx.
How to reach Università Bocconi
Underground Line 3 (yellow) direction San Donato Stop Porta Romana and then tram nos.
9 or 30 get off at stop Bligny/Bocconi
Underground Line 2 (green) direction Famagosta Stop Porta Genova and then tram nos. 9
or 29 get off at stop Bligny/Bocconi
Università Bocconi has two entrances Via Gobbi 5 and Via Sarfatti 25 but they are very
close to each other. I will indicate best entrance nearer the time of the conference.
LOCAL TRANSPORT
Milan has quite an efficient public service consisting of buses, trolley buses, trams and
an underground with three lines (green, red and yellow).
You can get a two day ticket (bi-giornaliero) which allows you to travel on all kinds of
transport for a period of 48 hours and costs approx. 5 euros.
Transport from Airports: Both Linate and Malpensa a well-served.
From Malpensa: Buses to Central Station – Cost Euro 8,00 approx
Train Cadorna Express to Cadorna Station where you can pick up the
green line
Underground – Cost Euro11.00
From Linate:
Buses to various central points in city – cost 4 Euros (approx)
Low Cost Flights Easyjet/RyanAir fly into all 3 Milan airports. This includes also Orio al
Serio Bergamo. There is a bus which takes you into Milan: cost approx. Euro 8,00
