GETILAN
: medium density chemically crosslinkable compound for power insulation,

suitable also for G7.
It is a conveniently grafted polythene able to react in presence of
moisture and of catalyst.
We normally suggest our type MAC/202
REACTION BETWEEN GRAFTING AND CATALYST:
These two polythenes, separately stored, must be mixed before starting
extrusion in the ratio:

WORKING CONDITION FOR EXTRUSION:
Any good extruder designed for PE and PVC may be suitable for GETILAN extrusion
provided that it is equipped with a convenient head and a screw having a good
homogenising capacity.

NOTES:
CROSSLINKING:
Crosslinking of the finished product is obtained by:
-Immersion of the bobbin into hot water at 85/90 °C for two hours (up to 3 mm thickness).
-Steam treatment at 0.15 for bar 5/6 hours.
-Faster ambient curing is possible depending from the atmospheric conditions.
No detrimental effects on crosslinking properties and capability of GETILAN in presence of
Mastebatch colours, black included.
We suggest to dry masterbatch before using.
PACKING AND STORAGE:
The finished product is supplied as pellets.
GPE/510 grafting is forwarded in aluminium bags
(25 kg/each) or in octabin (500 kg/each), with airtight closure.
This packing ensures the inalterability of the product for at least six months.
