synopsis
Alex is a young 20 year old guy, bright, resourceful but without specific diploma.
He lives from temporary work, and illegal tricks. During a delivery, he discovers
an old manuscript under the floor of the house where Marx lived in Brussels, in
the nineteenth century. When the 40 pages, handwritten in German, are certified
as belonging to Marx, Alex sees himself very rich. The news spread and many
people want to acquire this unique manuscript. Faced with the determination
of the attacks committed by the Chinese, Alex resists and always finds a way
to get out, but his life is in serious danger. Alex has to make urgent choices.
Alex è un giovane brillante e intraprendente di 20 anni, che però non ha un
diploma specifico. Vive di lavoretti saltuari e piccoli espedienti illegali. Durante
una consegna, scopre un vecchio manoscritto sotto il pavimento di una casa
di Bruxelles abitata da Marx nel diciannovesimo secolo. Quando si accerta che
le 40 pagine, scritte a mano in tedesco, sono realmente di Marx, Alex pensa di
essere diventato ricco. La notizia si sparge e molte persone vogliono acquisire
quest’unico manoscritto. Di fronte alla determinazione degli attacchi commessi
dai cinesi, Alex resiste e trova ogni volta un modo per uscirne, ma la sua vita
è in serio pericolo. E’ il momento per Alex di prendere decisioni importanti.

Born in Brussels in 1968, Samuel Lampaert has directed the short
films Hi, Mates! in 2002, Reverse Decision in 2004, 30 Minutes by
Day in 2013, The wall in 2015 and the documentary Voodoo, the
origins in 2009. Now it is time for him to spend time and energy on
a narrative feature film.
Nato a Bruxelles nel 1968, Samuel Lampaert ha diretto i cortometraggi
Hi, Mates! nel 2002, Reverse Decision nel 2004, 30 Minutes by Day
nel 2013, The wall nel 2015 ed il documentario Voodoo, the origins
nel 2009. Adesso è arrivato il momento di concentrare le sue energie
in un lungometraggio narrativo.
