The architectural concept of this project is based on the analysis of the place and more specifically on the characteristics of the site. The project is treated as a whole but in fact combines two administrative buildings. The two buildings occupy a total usable floor area of 35.000 m², respectively decomposed in 19.256m² for East building and 15.744m² for the West building. The volume of the project is a response to the constraints arising from the creation of the future soft circulation masterplan, the location of railways and the improvement of the connection to the Robert Schuman Square, located between the existing Arval/Cortal building and Ibis Hotel. The resulting shape is a curve that slips between the constraints and molds itself to the irregularity of the site. The buildings are located between the railroad tracks to the south and the residential area Jean Moulin to the north, which turns the building into a barrier against noise. Thanks to their low speed, these units offer users a very good level of thermal comfort. Each unit of decentralized ventilation can be controlled individually by the user. For better energy savings management, these units will be linked to CO2 sensors that will control and adapt their operation based on the actual occupation. Active slab Categoria del prodotto: Descrizione: The active slab system uses inertia of concrete structures of the building. The mass of concrete is used directly as "tank" for heat and cold. The pipes for the transport of the coolant are integrated directly into the concrete mass of the slab, at about 8 cm under lower surface.The system of active slab covers most needs for heat and cold. This radiating system ensures a very large thermal comfort. The regulation of the temperature in the pipes will then help ensure a constant surface temperature of the slab over the year.
