• This anthology includes twenty-one pieces written in the 20th century by non-guitarist French composers.
With a valuable historical introduction and commentary relating to each of the different works, it presents various classics
of the guitar repertoire as well as less well-known pieces equally worthy of the attention of players.
• A wonderful synergy between the original publishers has made possible the inclusion of the complete guitar works of
Henri Sauguet.
• Some famous guitarists of the past and present (Andrés Segovia, Alexandre Lagoya, Narciso Yepes, Angelo Gilardino,
Rafel Andia, Turibio Santos, Frédéric Zigante, Luigi Biscaldi, Betho Davezac) appear here in the guise of revisers.
• The pieces are presented for the most part in their original form, with the exception of the Sarabande by Francis Poulenc,
where the polyphonic writing has been made explicit, the Hommage à Lech Wałęsa by Alexandre Tansman, revised on
the basis of the manuscripts, and the Danses vives et mélancoliques by Louis-Noël Belaubre, reworked by the composer
for the present publication. An excellent book for intermediate/advanced Conservatoire students.

• Questa antologia include 21 brani scritti nel XX secolo da illustri compositori francesi non chitarristi.
Corredata da un’introduzione storica e da un apparato testuale di approfondimento dei singoli pezzi, propone grandi classici
della letteratura chitarristica e opere meno note ma ugualmente meritevoli dell’attenzione degli interpreti.
• Una straordinaria sinergia tra editori storici ha reso possibile la pubblicazione dell’opera completa per chitarra di Henri Sauguet.
• Alcuni illustri chitarristi del passato e del presente appaiono qui in veste di revisori, come Andrés Segovia, Alexandre Lagoya,
Narciso Yepes, Angelo Gilardino, Rafel Andia, Turibio Santos, Frédéric Zigante, Luigi Biscaldi, Betho Davezac.
• La maggioranza dei brani è presentata nella versione originale, ad eccezione della Sarabande di Francis Poulenc, offerta con la
realizzazione esplicita della condotta polifonica, dell’Hommage à Lech Wałęsa di Alexandre Tansman, rivisto sulla base dei manoscritti, e delle Danses vives et mélancoliques di Louis-Noël Belaubre, rielaborate dall’autore in occasione della pubblicazione
