“Implant Treatment in the Aesthetic Zone”
(9:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.)
Implant dentistry is now part of routine dental treatment. It is no longer enough for an implant to merely
osseointegrate; it must be esthetic as well. The maxillary anterior dental implant is perhaps the most challenging
for the clinician. A multiplicity of techniques must be mastered including but not limited to ideal implant
placement, proper surgical technique, bone augmentation, soft tissue development and proper restoration.

“Predictable Techniques for Total Esthetics”
(9:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.)
In today’s rapidly changing environment of dental materials and techniques, it is important that the
dentist be knowledgeable and current. It is equally important to consistently deliver optimal results to
our patients using techniques that are proven and reliable. The purpose of this course is to demonstrate
in a detailed step-by-step fashion, procedures that if practiced can impact your ability to deliver an
improved level of dental artistry in your practice tomorrow.
 Direct Anterior Posterior Composite Restorations
Techniques to create lifelike and morphologically precise anterior and posterior direct
composite restorations will be demonstrated in step-by-step detail. The use of composite
restorations will be shown to create characterized restorations that rival those produced in the
laboratory. Techniques to create predictable proximal contacts will be shown using sectional
matrix techniques.
 Advanced Indirect Techniques for the Aesthetic Restorative Practice to Achieve “World
Class” Results
o
Methodical Tooth Preparation for Predictable Esthetic Excellence
Tooth Preparation (the use of negative space) is probably the single most critical step
to restorative excellence. With the different materials available today, it is important
that the dentist understand the space requirements for each, so that the least amount of
tooth structure be removed to obtain the desired result.
o
The Art and Science of Provisional Restorations and Impression Making
Step-by-step techniques will be shown to carve morphologically precise provisional
restorations chairside. The use of various provisional materials and indications for
their use will be discussed. The use of retraction medium will be shown and techniques
to get an accurate final impression the first time, every time will be virtually
guaranteed.
o
Functional and Aesthetic Reconstructive Therapy
Complex restorative cases can involve a multidisciplinary approach to predictably

"Total Esthetics - From Single Restorations to Full Mouth"
Today’s society demands esthetics as well as function and health treatment from dentists. With
modern materials and procedures, we can provide excellence in all three areas. In this program,
Dr. Nash will illustrate the use of esthetic materials for all types of clinical situations including full
mouth rehabilitation. Actual clinical cases will be used to show techniques for giving the patient
what they desire in esthetics and what we are responsible for in the treatment of dental disease and
for oral rehabilitation. Principles of occlusion and smile design will be integrated into the
discussion which will cover everything from single restorations to full mouth reconstruction.
