Musumeci 13,00Closure The treatment of Intracranial aneurysms has undergone dramatic changes in the past 25 years. Refinement of endovascular and microsurgical techniques allow us to treat the vast majority of these lesions with minimal morbidity. Because of increasing use of endovascular techniques, the number of intracranial aneurysms treated with microsurgery continues to diminish. This trend creates major issues in the training of the younger generation of neurosurgeons. This course plans to fill this gap by providing a step-by-step practical approach to the microsurgical treatment of intracranial aneurysms with particular emphasis on the education of trainees and younger neurosurgeons. The course will also provide an overview on indications and results of the most recent endovascular techniques.
