Pearson are well-known for our ELT book publishing arm, with books under the brand names of
Longman and Penguin in extensive use in schools across Italy.
As a group, we are now able to offer you ELT exams in the form of the “London Tests of
English”, with two suites; one aimed at young learners (4 levels) and the other for teenage and
adult learners (6 levels) - covering CEF levels A1 to C2. The exams test all four skills and there
are four sessions each year.
The “London Tests of English” have Italian ministerial recognition within the scope of the Progetto
Lingue 2000, as confirmed by the Ministry “chiarimento” of 18.04.07 and are recognised by a
large number of Italian & UK universities.

I London Tests of English sono stati originariamente progettati nel 1982 dalla commissione
esaminatrice scolastica della University of London. Nel 1996 questa commissione d’esami si è
fusa con la Business & Technology Education Council (BTEC), (Ente educativo per la tecnologia e
per gli affari), per poi diventare Edexcel, uno tra i più grandi enti valutatori per le qualifiche sia a
livello accademico che professionale dell’intero Regno Unito. Oggi la Edexcel fa parte del Gruppo
Pearson e opera assieme alla PLA per fornire i London Tests of English e il London Tests of
English per bambini.
Le nostre qualifiche sono in grado di soddisfare i bisogni di ogni tipo di studente, da coloro che
desiderano imparare l’inglese per migliorare le loro opportunità d’impiego e per accedere alle
università a coloro che vogliono arricchire le loro conoscenze per scopi turistici o a chi
semplicemente piace sia la cultura che la lingua di altri paesi.
Esistono sei livelli che rimandano alla Common European Framework of Reference for Languages
(Struttura di riferimento della comunità europea per le lingue).
Riconoscimenti
I London Test of English hanno
ottenuto in Italia il riconoscimento da
parte del Ministero della Pubblica
Istruzione oltre a quelli da parte di un
certo numero di università italiane. I
livelli 4 e 5 consentono l’ingresso
nelle università del Regno Unito e
sono riconosciuti da una molteplicità
di aziende internazionali.
Date degli esami
Le sessioni d’esame a tutti i livelli
sono a maggio, giugno, novembre e
dicembre e avvengono annualmente.
Sessioni speciali potrebbero aver
luogo in diversi periodi dell’anno se il
numero
degli
esaminandi
è
abbastanza consistente
