ANALISI DELLA SITUAZIONE
La classe 5L del Liceo Linguistico è composta di 18 allievi (14 ragazze e 4 ragazzi). La classe ha una
dinamica complicata, sono molto individualisti. Si sono allineati in piccoli gruppi che si tengono a
distanza dagli altri. Può essere difficile captare le loro vere capacità perché gli studenti sono poco
propensi a esporsi davanti ai compagni, e a dialogare con l’insegnante. Ascoltano, seguono, ma
difficilmente intervengono se non sollecitati. Una classe non particolarmente partecipe, se non sono
interessati all’argomento. Quando hanno il compito di fare una presentazione o scrivere un tema su
qualche argomento lo fanno e s’impegnano, ma sono passivi e poco inclini alla discussione.
STRATEGIE DIDATTICHE
Approccio comunicativo/induttivo, con modalità di lavorare in coppia, in piccoli gruppi, in plenum.
Lezione partecipata. Lavoro molto sulla pronuncia, e chiedo agli alunni di ripetere le parole nuove
quando sono presentate o quando ci sono delle parole che gli italiani generalmente hanno difficoltà a
pronunciare. Cerco di ampliare il lessico con sinonimi e altre espressioni. Spesso la mia ora è
effettivamente una lezione CLIL in cui affrontiamo un argomento importante con il lessico specifico
rilevante in lingua inglese, e parliamo di conseguenze, possibili effetti su di loro, cose simili nella loro
esperienza. Credo che sia fondamentale esporli al linguaggio nuovo e complesso per stimolarli e
sfidarli di comunicare ed esprimersi.
MATERIALI
Propongo una serie di attività per favorire un apprendimento attivo e motivato, e per approfondire il
lessico e la grammatica, utilizzando molto il lavoro di coppia, o nel loro caso piccoli gruppi. Abbiamo
fatto finora 5 Prova di Esame- testo di attualità dagli anni passati.
Abbiamo utilizzato la rivista di conversazione ‘Mary Glasgow’ CURRENT, al livello Advanced, o
B2/C1. Propone un inglese autentico che sollecita il dibattito, discussione e comprensione attraverso
argomenti culturali e di attualità d’interesse ai giovani.
