KEY IDEA:
• Blu Port Awareness: second generation COP using the shape of the vessel (in scaled dimension)
instead of the plot. The system works also if the vessel is not equipped with AIS/GNSS and
in all the meteo conditions and 24/24 using a new concept miniradar;
• A system to avoid collision and to facilitate the landing using sensors in the sea and real time
system to predict the flow in the natural harbour;
• A “constructive” Virtual Simulation System to train vessel pilots and port traffic controllers
constituted by a port traffic simulator and by a vessel instrument board simulator.
OBJECTIVES:
To develop and test of an integrated system “all vessel, all weather, all day”, ground-based for
traffic control in the last mile and to support the navigation.
