Titanium is particularly suited for use in the chemical and offshore industries and in aerospace engineering.
This new product line is the right choice whenever anti-magnetic properties, high resistance to corrosion and
extreme toughness combined with low weight and biocompatibility are required.
Titanium is a high quality material with outstanding properties. Obtaining and processing titanium is difficult and
therefore several times more expensive than for steel.
Titanium has a high specific strength and great elastic energy absorption. Titanium is nearly 50% less dense
than steel. Its high thermal capacity is another useful property.
The material’s maximum strength of 40 HRC means the torques are lower than those for PB Swiss Tools spring
steel tools (58–60 HRC).
Per applicazioni tecniche complesse
Il titanio è particolarmente adatto per l’impiego nell’industria chimica e offshore nonché nella tecnica aeronautica e aerospaziale. Se sono necessari un comportamento antimagnetico, la massima resistenza alla corrosione,
un’elevata resistenza con un peso minimo e la biocompatibilità, la nuova linea di prodotti è la scelta giusta.
Il titanio è un materiale pregiato dalle caratteristiche eccezionali. La sua produzione e la sua lavorazione sono
molto impegnative e sono quindi molto più costose di quelle dell’acciaio.
Il titanio presenta un’elevata rigidità specifica ed una grande capacità di assorbire energia elastica. Rispetto
all’acciaio, il titanio ha una densità inferiore di quasi il 50%. Un’ulteriore caratteristica positiva di questo materiale è la sua elevata resistenza termica.
Data la durezza massima di 40 HRC, i momenti torcenti sono inferiori rispetto agli utensili PB Swiss Tools in
acciaio per molle, che hanno una durezza di 58–60 HRC.
