VACCHIANO was born from the strong passion for fashion and has created a model of
handmade shoes which are unique and extremely elegant considering man who makes
refinement a lifestyle. It creates its own unique design in its kind, and has put together a
group of the most skilled Italian artisans with thirty years of experience that have given life to
its designs which have considerably attracted interest in Asian countries , Eastern Europe and
America.
The leather and products are rigorously made ​​in Italy and are subjected to stress tests to verify
the quality and endurance.
The realization of such a refined product requires on average 6-8 weeks of careful and thorough
work giving pleasure to those who wear Vacchiano, to share an ancient history and enjoy the
unique and inimitable comfort. A refined range, fine detail and high quality materials are the
key element of the collection.
The dominant colors are dark brown and cognac revisiting the classic contemporary twist.
We also reserve the service of custom-made shoes to our clients by engaging them in a nice
customization: choice of leathers and colors and a unique and comfortable fit.
VACCHIANO nasce dalla profonda passione per la moda e realizza un modello di scarpe

più qualificati artigiani Italiani con esperienza ultratrentennale che danno vita ai suoi progetti
i quali riscuotono notevole interesse nei paesi Asiatici, Europa Orientale e America.
Le pelli ed i prodotti sono rigorosamente made in Italy e vengono sottoposti a stress-test per
verificarne la qualità e la tenuta.
La realizzazione di un prodotto così raffinato richiede mediamente 6-8 settimane di attento e
scrupoloso lavoro dando il piacere a chi calza Vacchiano, di condividere una storia antica e
di godere di un confort unico ed inimitabile.
Linee raffinate, dettagli accurati e materiali pregiati sono l’elemento chiave della collezione.
I colori dominanti sono testa di moro e cognac rivisitando il classico in chiave contemporanea.

I nostri artigiani effettuano tutti i processi di taglio seguendo alla lettera le esigenze
del nostro designe. La passione e la professionalità dei nostri artigiani sono in grado
di rilevare ogni singola imperfezione che possa emergere dai processi di lavorazione
consentendogli di intervenire con abile e attento lavoro di rifinitura sulla tomaia
assemblata.
Le fasi di lavorazione vengono svolte con attrezzature rigorosamente manuali. Con la
tranciatura si provvede inoltre a formare la suola, il tacco, il soprattacco e il sottopiede.
Per le nostre scarpe utilizziamo esclusivamente pelli di vitello Italiane, per la pelle
scamosciata quelli inglesi, il box-calf che è di provenienza francese, il coccodrillo e lo
shell cordowan americano, ossia la culatta di cavallo dalla quale si ricava un solo paio
di scarpe da una sola pelle.
La realizzazione di una scarpa fatta a mano richiede oltre 200 passaggi manuali.

Our craftsmen carry out all cutting processes according to the exact requirements of our
design. The passion and expertise of our craftsmen enable them to detect any singular
imperfection that can emerge from the manufacturing, allowing them to intervene with
skillful and careful finishing work on the assembled shoe upper.
The manufacturing steps are carried out strictly with manual equipment. The cutting
also provides for the shaping of the sole, the heel, the heeltaps and insole.
Our shoes are exclusively made with Italian calf leather, English suede, French boxcalf, American crocodile and shell cordovan, that is horse hind from which only one
pair of shoes is made from a single leather.
The realization of a handmade shoe requires more than 200 manual steps.
CHIODATURA IN LEGNO
Le nostre scarpe vengono realizzate con tecniche che utilizzavano i nostri artigiani sin
dal secondo dopoguerra. Questo procedimento,che richiede tempo e accuratezza, è
una tecnica povera ma che rende la scarpa resistente e comoda.
Per la chiodatura in legno si utilizza Il cavicchio che è un elemento di giunzione
solitamente impiegato nei manufatti in legno per tenere uniti i pezzi che lo compongono,
ed è usato da secoli dagli artigiani.
I cavicchi più moderni hanno la forma cilindrica, mentre quello artigianale e’ realizzato
a mano con lo scalpello ed è a sezione leggermente conica e viene piantato nella parte
cava delle scarpe uniti con con il martello e chiamati tecnicamente famice.
Questa tecnica, “povera” ed esclusivamente artigianale, veniva utilizzata agli inizi del
secolo per garantire robustezza alle calzature e noi ancora oggi la utilizziamo nella
realizzazione delle nostre scarpe: il legno inserito nel cuoio segue il movimento del
piede garantendo una calzata senza eguali.
WOODEN NAILING
Our shoes are made with the techniques that were used by our craftsmen which date
back to the Second World War. This process takes time and accuracy; it’s a simple
“poor” technique but it makes the shoe durable and comfortable.
The wooden nailing is done using a wooden peg, which is typically used in woodwork
to join pieces together and has been used for centuries. Modern wooden pegs are
cylindrical shaped whereas those used by craftsmen are handmade with a scalpel and
are slightly conical then planted in the hollow of the shoes and joined together with a
hammer and technically called the central section.
This simple “poor” technique and exclusively handicraft, was used at the beginning of
the century to provide strength to footwear and we still use it today in the realization of
our shoes: the wood inserted into the leather follows the movement of the foot ensuring
a fit like no other.
PROCESSO MANIFATTURIERO
E’ una lavorazione molto laboriosa, richiede grande esperienza, accuratezza e
precisione e rappresenta tutt’ora la migliore qualità di costruzione rispetto agli altri
processi. Questo tipo di lavorazione consiste nell’utilizzare una striscia di cuoio
chiamata “guardolo”, che percorre tutto il perimetro della scarpa e viene legato con
una prima cucitura trasversale insieme alla tomaia e alla fodera. Successivamente viene
effettuata una seconda cucitura, sempre dall’interno, che unisce la parte inferiore del
guardolo alla suola. L’intercapedine così formata è riempita da un’intersuola fatta di
materiali naturali, che viene posta all’interno prima di unire il corpo alla suola con la
seconda cucitura. In questo modo si ottiene un perfetto isolamento del piede rispetto
al suolo su cui poggia la scarpa consentendo all’intersuola di espellere la naturale
umidità che viene generata dal piede. La doppia cucitura e lo speciale filo utilizzato
consentono inoltre alla pelle della scarpa di potersi dilatare o contrarre, a seconda
delle condizioni climatiche, senza subire danni o screpolature.
MANUFACTURING PROCESS
It is a very laborious process, requiring great experience, accuracy and precision, and is
still the best built quality compared to other processes. This type of manufacturing is to
use a strip of leather called “welt” , which runs around the perimeter of the shoe and is
sewn together with a first transverse seam to the upper and the lining . Subsequently a
second sewing is carried out, always from the inside, which joins the lower part of the
welt to the sole. The cavity thus formed is filled by a midsole made ​​of natural materials,
which is placed inside before joining the body to the sole by the second seam. In this
way you get a perfect isolation of the foot in relation to the ground upon which the
shoe rests allowing the internal sole to expel the natural moisture that is generated by
the foot. The double stitching and special thread used, also allow the shoe leather to
be able to expand or contract, depending on the weather conditions, without damage
or cracking.
