PRELIMINARY RACE INFORMATIONS
1 - ORGANISING AUTHORITY AND VENUE
The International Regatta “Reale Yacht Club Canottieri Savoia Challenge Cup” will be
held in Naples during the third week of June, 21st to 24th.
The regatta is organized by the Reale Yacht Club Canottieri Savoia (R.Y.C.C.S.)
in conjunction with Comitato Circoli Velici del Golfo di Napoli (C.C.V.G.N.), the
International Dragon Association (I.D.A.), the Italian Dragon Association, and Italian
Sailing Federation (F.I.V.).

2 - ELIGIBILITY AND ENTRIES
The Regatta is open to all International Dragon Class yachts holding a valid
measurement certificate. All persons on board of yachts shall be up to date members
of their National Dragon Association.
A formal entry from each yacht shall be submitted prior to 31st May 2012 with an
entry fee of € 250,00 per yacht.

3 - MOORING
Yachts will be moored at the R.Y.C.C. Savoia marina.
Parking for cars and trailers will be provided to participants in a secure area.

4 - PRELIMINARY PROGRAMME
Thursday 21st June, RYCCS Welcome Reception, Registration, Inspections and
Briefing;
Friday 22nd June, Races and Social event;
Saturday 23rd June, Races and Social event;
Sunday 24th June, Races and Prizegiving ceremony.
Windward-Leeward course will be selected.
Two races may be held on the same day.
The racing area will be the Gulf of Naples. This is an ideal area for racing and it is
where the 1960 Olympic Yachting Games were held. This historically
famous gulf provides the best conditions for very high level Dragon racing.
5 - TROPHY AND PRIZES
The Challenge Cup “Reale Yacht Club Canottieri Savoia” will be awarded to the winner
crew.
Daily prizes and special prizes will be awarded.
6 - NOTICE OF RACE
The Notice of Race will be available by March 15, 2012.
