BRUNO TADDIA Baritono Versatile Baritone, thanks to his great love for theater and acting his repertoire includes very different roles. His vocal tecnique allows him to range from Mozart to Rossini, from Donizetti to Puccini, as well as from Baroque to contemporary works. He is a regular guest of some among the world’s most prestigious theaters including Teatro alla Scala di Milano, ROH Covent Garden in London, Théâtre du Chatelet de Paris, Teatro Liceu de Barcelona, Grand Théâtre de Genève, Théâtre du Capitole de Toulouse, Deutsche Oper in Berlin, Semperoper in Dresden,Teatro dell’Opera di Roma, Teatro Comunale di Bologna, Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia di Roma, Rossini Opera Festival di Pesaro, just to name a few. He worked with such conductors as Riccardo Muti, Gianluigi Gelmetti, Roberto Abbado, Jean Christophe Spinosi, Thomas Hengelbrock, Wayne Marshall, Michele Mariotti, Massimo De Bernart and Alberto Zedda, and with stage directors as Dario Fo, Mario Martone, Ermanno Olmi, Tobias Richter, Emilio Sagi, Pier Luigi Pizzi, Damiano Michieletto and Denis Krief. He opened the 2013/14 season performing Le nozze di Figaro (Conte d’Almaviva) at at Grand Théatre de Genève, followed by Don Pasquale (Malatesta) at Opera de Oviedo, followed by La pietra di paragone (Macrobio) at Théâtre du Châtelet de Paris, and Totò e il medico dei pazzi at Opera de Nancy He opened the 2014/15 season performing Don Checcho (title role) at Teatro San Carlo di Napoli, Il barbiere di Siviglia (Figaro) in Bassano, Iphigénie en Tauride (Oreste) at Grand Théatre de Genève, L’occasione fa il ladro at Théâtre des Champs Elysées de Paris, L’elisir d’amore al Teatro della Fortuna di Fano and La vedova allegra al Teatro Carlo Felice di Genova. He opened the 2015/16 season performing Così fan tutte (Don Alfonso) at Opera in Florence and in Budapest, followed by Betly (Max) by Donizetti at Konzerthaus in Berlin, L’elisir d’amore at Teatro Petruzzelli di Bari and Ein deutsches Requiem at Teatro Massimo Bellini di Catania. Among his future plans are La Cenerentola (Don Magnifico) at Teatro Massimo di Palermo, L’Heure espagnole in Shangai, Mirandolina at Teatro La Fenice in Venice, Olivo e Pasquale at Teatro Donizetti di Bergamo, La Grotta di Trofonio (Artemidoro) at Teatro San Carlo di Napoli, as well as Gianni Schicchi (title role) at Opéra de Montpellier. His most recent and acclaimed performances include Bernstein’s Candide (Maximilian/Captain/Zar Ivan) at Teatro dell’Opera di Roma, Haydn’s Orlando paladino (Pasquale) and Rossini’s Il barbiere di Siviglia (Figaro) at Théâtre du Chatelet di Parigi, Haendel’s Serse (Elviro) at Festival di Chateau de Versailles de Paris, Cavalli’s La Calisto (Mercurio) and Birtwistle’s Punch and Judy (Punch) at Grand Théâtre de Genève, Steffani’s Niobe, regina di Tebe (Tiresia) at ROH Covent Garden in London and at Grand Théâtre de la Ville de Luxembourg, Così fan tutte (Don Alfonso) at Théâtre du Capitole de Toulouse and Don Pasquale (Malatesta) at Teatro Municipal di Santiago de Chile. Also active in the Lieder field, he has held concerts in such venues as Accademia di Francia Villa Medici in Rome, Società del Quartetto in Bergamo, Auditorium di Milano, Musée de la Vie Romantique and l’Auditorium of Musée d’Orsay in Paris. Born in Pavia, graduated in philosophical aesthetics and in violin at Conservatory of Genova, he studied singing with Paolo Montarsolo. After attending the courses of Accademia Rossiniana di Pesaro, held by Alberto Zedda, he made his Rossini Opera Festival debut as Don Alvaro in Il viaggio a Reims.
