Federico MONTI ARDUINI
Nato a Milano il 1 Dicembre 1940. Ha conseguito gli
studi classici.
Compositore, autore, pianista, editore, produttore
discografico e personaggio televisivo.
Come artista con lo pseudonimo de “ Il Guardiano Del
Faro” è stato più volte ai primi posti delle classifiche
discografiche italiane e di vari paesi nel mondo.
Interpretando sue composizioni, ha vinto nel 1969 il
Festival di Ancona e, nel 1975 “Il disco per l’estate”.
Come uomo di spettacolo ha partecipato e condotto
per anni nei canali televisivi nazionali, programmi quali
“Blitz”, Blu Domenica”, “ Il Sabato” e “Il Cappello sulle
23” per cui compone la fortunata sigla “Solamente Lei”
Nel 1975 ha vinto il premio “il Telegatto” quale artista
musicista esecutore più popolare dell’anno.
Nel 1976, in seguito al successo discografico della sua
composizione “Amore Grande Amore Libero” con la
quale vince la manifestazione musicale
“Un Disco Per L’Estate” viene realizzato l’omonimo film
per il quale compone l’intera colonna sonora. L’anno seguente compone la colonna
sonora del film “La Orca” di Eriprando Visconti il cui tema conduttore “Male D’Amore”
entra subito ai primi posti delle classifiche discografiche.
Quale compositore le sue composizioni sono state interpretate da vari artisti Italiani quali:
Mina, Gigliola Cinquetti, Orietta Berti, Carmen Villani, Claudio Lippi, Wess e Dori Ghezzi,
Filippono ed internazionali tra i quali Cliff Richard, Frankie Avalon, Santo&Johnny, Paul
Mauriat, Andrè Pop.
Al Martino, Hervè Vilard, Guy Mardel, Joe Damiano.
Nel mondo imprenditoriale è stato direttore generale per più di quindici anni delle Edizioni
di Musica Leggera della G.Ricordi&C e, negli anni 1972-1975 ha ricoperto la carica di
Direttore Artistico ed Assistente alla Direzione Generale della Polygram Records.
Dal 1998 al 2003 e stato eletto consecutivamente per cinque anni presidente della EMA,
la più prestigiosa Associazione di Editori Musicali di quegli anni.
Dal 2002 al 2005 e’stato membro del Consiglio di Amministrazione della ICMP
l’associazione mondiale degli Editori Musicali che si occupa principalmente della
protezione del Diritto D’Autore in sede internazionale.
Nel 1976 ha fondato la sua casa Editrice e Discografica “ Cafè Concerto” con la quale
oltre a rappresentare grandi gruppi editoriali internazionali di Musica, produce con
successo artisti Italiani quali Mario Rosini, secondo classificato al Festival Di Sanremo
del 2004.
E’ stato membro in varie Commissioni SIAE quali il Comitato Estero (1998-1999), il
Comitato Studi Regolamento e Statuto (2005), il Comitato Elettorale (2009-2010).
Nel 2013 è stato eletto membro del Consiglio D’Amministrazione della Società stessa.

Federico Monti Arduini, Composer, author, pianist, publisher, record producer and
television personality, was born in Milano on December the 1st, 1940.
He studied senior high school classicals.
As an artist/musician/composer, in 1972 and in 1975, under the nick-name of “Il
Guardiano Del Faro”, with his songs he reached the N° 1 position in the record charts in
Italy as well as in several foreign Countries. He also won various Italian music contests
such as the Ancona Festival (1969) and “Un Disco Per L’Estate”(1975)
As a television personality, he was a permanent “guest star” on several annual television
shows as “Blitz,” “Blu Domenica,” “Il Sabato” and also had his own television show, “ Il
Cappello Sulle Ventitrè,” which ran on Saturday nights for three consecutive years.
(1995/1998) for which he composed the successful signature tune “ Solamente Lei”.
In 1975 he was awarded the “Telegatto” as the “Most Popular Artist, Musician and
Performer of the Year”.
In 1976, performing his song “Amore Grande Amore Libero” he won the music contest
“Un disco per l’Estate” and, thanks to the great record success of the song, he scored the
soundtrack of the homonymous movie. He also scored the soundtrack for the movie “La
Orca”, directed by Eriprando Visconti, whose main title “Male D’Amore” entered again in
the Top Ten Record Charts.
His songs have been recorded by many local and International artists such as: Mina,
Gigliola Cinquetti, Orietta Berti, Carmen Villani, Claudio Lippi, Wess&Dory Ghezzi,
Filipponio, Cliff Richard, Frankie Avalon, Santo&Johnny, Paul Mauriat, Andrè Pop,Al
Martino, Hervè Vilard, Guy Mardel, Joe Damiano.
As a business man for nearly 15 years he managed the G.Ricordi&C Pop Music
Publishing Division which was one of the most influential Italian music companies during
that period and, from 1972 to 1975, he occupied a position as A&R General Manager and
Assistant to the President at Polydor/Polygram Record Division in Italy.
For five consecutive years (1998-2003) he was elected as President of EMA, the most
powerful music publishing association in Italy of those years, and was member of the
ICMP Board of Directors, the International Music Publishers Confederation, which dealt
with all matters relating to Copyright laws.
In June 1996 he founded Cafè Concerto Music Publishing which, besides representing
very prestigious International Music Publishing Companies, is focused on producing
Italian artists such as Mario Rosini who won the second prize at the 2004 Sanremo
Festival.
Federico has been member of a number of SIAE (the Italian Performing and Mechanical
Society) Committees such as the Foreign Committee (1998/199), The Reform&Studies
Committee (2002-2005) and the Electoral Regulations Committee (2009/2010).
Presently (2013) is member of the Board Of Directors at SIAE.
