This is necessary so as not to cause any damage to the weft pre-measuring winder electronics. 6) Switch the weft pre-measuring winder off by switching its 0 - 1 switch onto '0'. 7) Connect the weft pre-measuring winder cable to the power supply box socket marked with the same number as that marked on the loom nozzle fed by said weft pre-measuring winder. 56 3 - AVVERTENZE INSTALLATION 9) Connect the loom's signal cable up to the DB9 (see page 15) on the power supply box. loom signal connector 10) Set the weft pre-measuring winder operating parameters: (number of coils released with each weft insertion, S or Z sense of rotation, etc.). N.B.: The operating parameters must be set through the loom's control terminal. Each time the loom's power supply console is powered up, the stored parameters will be sent to the pre-measuring winders. 11) Adjust the diameter of the winding group as indicated in subsequent paragraph 4.2 herein. 57 ENGLISH 8) Power up the power supply box by switching its 0 - 1 switch to 1. The green led on the pre-measuring device's electromagnet/photocell unit will flash briefly and then go off (Reset). 4 - COMMISSIONING THE UNIT 4.1 INPUT SENSOR Upon request, an input sensor that features a dual function can be fitted onto the pre-measuring winder: • Pre-measuring winder with loom stop set function: This function stops the pre-measuring winder and the loom if no weft is detected at the winder input (broken weft or end of yarn bobbin). N.B.: Starting the pre-measuring winder back up by simply switching the 0-1 switch on and off again will not be sufficient. The store coils must be completely removed by keeping the reset key R (reset) pressed for more than 2 seconds. Rethread the winder and restore the winding reserve (as specified in subsequent point 4.4) L.G.L. recommends the following procedure in case the "Yarn Brake" alarm is given: When the pre-measuring winder stops, it still carries some store coils on the winder. Carry out a partial (hind) threading cycle, knot the yarn up with the store coils still on the winder and press R to carry out a complete weft yarn removal cycle (as described above). These steps enable: elimination of the knot in the yarn, threading of the loom feeder and nozzles, starting of the pre-measuring winder back up again. Press the S key to restore the winding reserve. • Pre-measuring winder featuring broken wefts exclusion function: This function excludes broken wefts by stopping the pre-measuring winder but without stopping the loom. This function is only possible if the loom is set accordingly. N.B: To start the pre-measuring winder back up again, carry out a partial (hind) threading cycle and tie the yarn up to the store coils left on the winder. Switch the 0-1 switch off and back on again then press the S key. The pre-measuring winder will only wind in the number of coils required for reinstatement of standard operation. By means of the above two functions defects in the fabric and - if the exclusion of broken wefts function is set - loom stops due to broken wefts can be avoided. In order for this type of electronic piezoelectric sensor to function properly, it only requires for the weft to run over its sensing element as though said element were a normal weft detector. 58 AVVERTENZE THE UNIT 4 - COMMISSIONING In cases where the input weft detection needs to be disabled, act as follows: Either set the "sensitivity weft input detector" parameter onto (0), or unplug the sensor connector from its socket on the main pre-measuring winder control board. N.B.: To avoid false stops, make sure that the sensor is always clean so as to enable smooth running of the weft over its sensing element. 59 ENGLISH If the sensor detects that weft yarn is not available, the pre-measuring winder stops operating and gives the “Bobbin end” alarm . N.B: If upon giving the alarm the pre-measuring winder is completely empty to start it back up again keep the R key pressed for more than 2 seconds. The green led will stop flashing and the pin is raised. Once this is accomplished, proceed with threading in and restoring the winding reserve. 4 - COMMISSIONING THE UNIT 4.2 SETTING THE LENGTH OF THE WEFT The number of the coils to be released with each weft insertion and the diameter (from 1 to 9) required for the winding unit may either be established through the loom controls or using the table given below. In the weft pre-measuring screen page on the loom terminal screen, enter the required weft-length in cm. To adjust the diameter of the winding unit, act as follows: 1) Make sure that the weft pre-measuring winder is turned off (switch O - I on O). 2) If the funnel kit is present (see accessories), loosen the retaining screw, slide the kit out and block it to the side or remove it so that it will not hinder the adjustment operations (follow the steps given for funnel removal in chapter 7 herein). 3) Loosen screw (6); move the electromagnet/photocell unit (9) upwards and lock it by tightening the screw back in again. 4) Loosen the 6 screws (7) that keep the six mobile sectors (10) fastened. 5) Loosen the 6 screws (8) that keep the six fixed sectors (11) fastened. 6) Position the fixed sectors (11) onto the reference lines (12) corresponding to the number (from 1 to 9) matched according to the table below. Tighten the screw (6) back in again and remove the gauge. 14) Load in the winding reserve as described in the subsequent paragraph herein. 15) Start the loom up and make sure that the weft length is set as required for operation. If the weft length is in excess, reduce the diameter of the winding unit. If it lacks, increase diameter. N.B.: To make minor corrections to the weft length, simply adjust one sector or act on two opposite sectors. Whilst adjusting the diameter, keep the pin raised. To do so press the R key for 2 seconds, then switch the pre-measuring device off. The pin will lower itself down automatically when the device is switched back on. 4.3 THREADING AND WINDING IN THE WINDING RESERVE 1) Switch the pre-measuring winder off; (if a Push-Pull device is present, the lever will rise automatically). Where pneumatic threading is not provided, thread the weft pre-measuring winder using the appropriate threading hook. Where partial threading is provided, draw the yarn up close to the weft inlet eyelet and press the P pushbutton (check diagram on page 12). If a tubular funnel is present, thread the yarn in through the funnel by hand. Draw the yarn up to the Push-Pull brake inlet and proceed with final threading by pressing the appropriate F pushbutton located on the support bracket. N.B: The brake lever must be kept well above the yarn. Thread the weft yarn in through the loom nozzles. 2) Switch the weft pre-measuring winder back on by switching the O - I switch to I. If there are no faults, the green led on the electromagnet/photocell unit will stay off. 3) Press the S (start) key; the pre-measuring unit will load in the required winding reserve. 62 AVVERTENZE THE UNIT 4 - COMMISSIONING 4.4 RESTORING THE WINDING RESERVE Proceed as follows: 1) Press the R (reset) key for more than 2 seconds; the electromagnet pin will rise and keep its raised position. Switch the pre-measuring winder off so that the Push-Pull brake lever (if present) also rises automatically. 2) Remove the weft yarn still wound on the winding group by hand. If the weft on the winding group is still threaded into the loom nozzles, it will be sucked through directly by the nozzles. 3) Thread the weft pre-measuring winder using the appropriate threading hook. Where partial pneumatic threading is provided, draw the yarn up close to the weft inlet sensor eyelet and press the appropriate (P) pushbutton. If a tubular funnel is present, thread the yarn in through the funnel by hand and draw the yarn up to the Push Pull brake inlet. Proceed with final threading by pressing the appropriate (F) pushbutton. The brake lever must be kept well above the yarn. 4) Thread the weft yarn in through the loom nozzles. 5) Switch the weft pre-measuring winder back on. Press the S (start) key; the pre-measuring unit will restore the winding reserve. When the winder is switched back on again, both the electromagnet pin and the Push Pull lever (if present) will automatically be lowered back down again. 63 ENGLISH Due to weft yarn breakage, yarn changes or for a number of other reasons, during standard weaving operations it may be necessary to remove the store coils left on the winding group and wind in a new set of coils. 5 - MAINTENANCE AND COMPONENT REPLACEMENT 5.1 REPLACING THE INPUT SENSOR For input sensor replacement act as follows: 1) Turn OFF the power supply box switch. 2) For pre-measuring winders provided with pneumatic threading: discharge any compressed air by closing the circuit and pressing the P threading-pushbutton. 3) If fitted, remove the brake on the weft pre-measuring winder input. 4) Turn out the 4 screws (34) and remove the cover (35). 5) Disconnect the input sensor connector (C3). 6) Remove the two screws (36) and remove the sensor support plate (37). 7) If the weft pre-measuring winder is fitted with pneumatic threading, detach tube (38). 8) Replace sensor (39). Broken and “slack” wefts in the fabric (loops and snarls) are considerably reduced. The Push-Pull also has the ability of acting as a weft pull-back device (Pull-Back function) that pulls the weft yarns left streaming out of the nozzle after cutting back in, thereby preventing said weft ends from interfering with other weft yarns about to be inserted. 7.3 RECOMMENDED USE The Push-Pull device is supplied separately. L.G.L. Electronics recommends use of this device for weaving fabrics with weft yarns likely to provide the inconveniences specified in the above Push-Pull functions. 71 ENGLISH The Push-Pull unit is an electronic weft brake that can be applied onto the weft outlet of the pre-measuring winder. Relative operating parameters are managed directly via loom controls (if access to the pre-measuring unit management software is enabled). All pre-measuring winder control boards are pre-set for Push-Pull management. 7 - PUSH-PULL 7.4 ASSEMBLY For assembly of the Push-Pull unit onto a weft pre-measuring winder, a funnel kit is required. Assembly: a) Fasten the funnel to the pin (52) and to the support tube (52A) using the screws (53) and (53A) supplied with the funnel kit. b) Fix the Push-Pull unit onto the funnel end using the screw (54) that is located in the weft brake body. c) Connect the male connector (55) on the weft pre-measuring winder up to the female connector (56) on the Push-Pull. d) Hook the air supply pipe (C8) up, using the quick coupling. e) To be able to rotate the funnel kit so that the centre hub may be adjusted, follow the procedure detailed as follows. 72 7 - PUSH-PULL 52 ENGLISH 53 54 52A 53A 55 56 C8 73 7 - PUSH-PULL Funnel rotation: 52 53 53A a) Loosen screws (53) and (53A) and slide the funnel out. 53A 52 53 90° b) Rotate the funnel at 90° outwards and slip it onto the pin (52). c) Carry out the adjustments and once completed, reposition the funnel back into its initial position and fix it in with the appropriate screws (53) and (53A). 7.5 START-UP To set the Push-Pull parameters directly from the loom, if pre-set, please refer to the table in Chapter 8 herein: “L.G.L. Pre-winder parameters”. 74 AVVERTENZE 8 - LOOM PARAMETERS 8.1 SULTEX LOOM PARAMETERS 8.2 PRE-MEASURING WINDER PARAMETERS The parameters shown above will provide the following functions: 75 ENGLISH If the SULTEX loom is fitted with L.G.L. Electronics weft pre-measuring units, you will be able to access a menu in the loom control terminal whereby preset parameters are provided for the winder and brake functions (see table below): 8 - LOOM PARAMETERS = Sets pin opening degree. = Sensitivity light barrier (L:H): coil counting photocell sensitivity L = low sensitivity (recommended for most operational requirements); H = high sensitivity (recommended for very fine yarn counts < 48 den). Pre-set value: L = No. of windings per pick (2:16) : displays the number of coils released at each weft insertion. = Yarn reserve (5:68): Number of coils on the pre-measuring unit's winding group during operation. N.B. When the pre-measuring unit stops it gathers a quantity of additional coils on the winding group that varies according to the actual insertion conditions. Pre-set value: 23 = Sensitivity weft input detector (0,1:5): displays by how much the alarm signal is delayed when no weft is detected by the sensor at the pre-measuring winder weft input. 0 = weft input detector disabled; 1:5 = select 1 or 2 when using medium/thick yarns at high pre-measuring winder speeds; select 3 to 5 when using medium/fine yarns at low pre-measuring winder speeds. Pre-set value: 2 = Rotation direction (S/Z): Winder motor's sense of rotation. (S anticlockwise, Z clockwise). Pre-set value: Z 76 AVVERTENZE 8 - LOOM PARAMETERS 8.3 PUSH - PULL PARAMETERS ENGLISH The parameters shown above provide the following functions: = Outlet brake time/ABS advance (0:80): The advance timing of the ABS function expressed in 1 ms units, from when braking starts as regards to the end of weft insertion delivery. If it is = 0, no advance time is provided and the brake will be in total braking position exactly upon weft delivery. Pre-set value: 0 = Outlet brake force/step ABS (0,1:7): selects the outlet brake force. Minimum force = 0 (Push-Pull brake disabled) Maximum force = 7 Pre-set value: 0 77 8 - LOOM PARAMETERS Braking mode = outlet ABS mode: enables selection of 4 different types of braking modes as follows: Mode 0: Push - Pull yarn braking with feed-back position control through selection of the “Outlet brake force” parameter (positions 1 to 7). Mode 1: Push - Pull yarn braking without feed-back position control but only based on brake force through selection of the “Outlet brake force” parameter. Mode 2: Push - Pull yarn braking up to subsequent weft insertion with feed-back position control in the “Always Brake” function. Mode 3: Push - Pull yarn braking up to subsequent weft insertion without feed-back position control in the “Always Brake” function. N.B: The "Filter range" parameter could be used to increase the brake force (from a minimum of 40% to a maximum of 80%) when using Braking mode '0' or Braking mode '2' in order to reach the required braking position. ABS delay = brake duration after arrival time (0:40): the time (expressed in 0.5 ms units) for which braking is continued after weft is delivered. This parameter makes sense only when the braking mode is set at either 0 or 1. Minimum duration = 0 Maximum duration = 40 Pre-set value: 10 Fetch back = outlet brake retract (0,1:5): actuates pull-back function. N.B: even when this function is disabled (0) but a braking force value other than 0 has been set, the brake shall anyway provide a softer version of the pull-back function. Pre-set value: 0 Filter range = Sets brake force % increase when using braking mode '0' or braking mode '2'. 78 9 - TROUBLE SHOOTING FAULTS REMEDIES - Check that the flywheel rotates freely. - Check the 8A fuses in the power supply box. - Check the 6,3 A fuse in the pre-measuring winder's main control board. - If the problem persists, replace the L.G.L. 103 main control board. If the machine is to be scrapped by third parties, only authorised centres are to be used for any waste recovery or disposal of the ensuing materials. If the machine is scrapped directly by the user, it is important that the materials are split according to their category and then disposed of separately through specialised centres. All metal parts, the electrical motor, rubber parts and all the parts made out of synthetic materials must be separated for recycling. Scrapping must at all times be carried out in full conformity with prevailing laws in the country of use, wherefore any liability for non compliance with any local requirement lies solely with the last proprietor of the machine and/or any appointed nominee. L.G.L. Electronics will not be held liable for any damage or injury whatsoever arising from re-use of any one of the machine components for operations or assemblies that do not in any way conform to the original use the machine was intended for. 82 JUMBO JET RICAMBI SPARE PARTS PIECES D’ETACHES ERSATZTEILE UND SONDERZUBEHÖR PARTES DE REPUESTOS 84 ELA3162 A1N3S635GR A1N1SA107GR A1N1SA358 VTCE1060Z A1N1S671 VTCE0514I ESM2570 ESM2561 ELM2017 A1N1SA188 ESM1848 VTCE0412Z A1N1SA187 A1N2S685 A1N1SA189 A1N2S687 ECM0755A ESM2626 VTCE0416I ELM3410 ECM0848 A1C2S799 ELM3103 VTCE0435I ECM0785 A1N1SA157 ELM2043 ELM2469 ELM2094 ESM3105 VTCE0430I A1N5S014 JUMBO JET EXPLODED VIEW - TAB.0 A1N2S687 ELM2064 ELM2003 ELM1346 VTRBTX0414Z VGRPA0610Z ELM3104 ECC0042L ESM3154 ECM0703A A1C1S571 ECM0999 ELA3109 ELM3107 VDAEG04Z ELA3125 ELM2368 VDAEN10Z ECM0823 ELM2544 ESM2004 VTRSTX0412Z EXPLODED VIEW - TAB.1 85 ELM3167 VTRBTX0414Z VDAEC04I VMT094310I ECM0900 ELM3317 JUMBO JET JUMBO JET EXPLODED VIEW - TAB.2 ECC0041 A1N1SA189 86 JUMBO JET EXPLODED VIEW - TAB.3 VTCE0412I ELM2544 VTCE0510Z VMT125208 ELM3111 A1N1S944 A1C1F240A ECM0823 ELM3121 ELM3124 ECM0823 ELM2544 A1N2S685 87 JUMBO JET EXPLODED VIEW - TAB.4 EFM3438 ELM3102 ELM3119 VTCE0435Z EFM2604 VMT084204Z VTCE0412Z A1N1SA188 88 JUMBO JET EXPLODED VIEW - TAB.5 A1N1SA345 A1C1F224 ECM0820 EFM3481 ELM3118 VTCE0412Z ELM3101 VMT084204Z EFM2838 A1N1SA187 89 VTCE0412Z JUMBO JET EXPLODED VIEW - TAB.6 VTCE0416I A1N4S685 VATCB2965I ECM0983 VTCR0304I ELM2537 VTCE0435I EVM2605G ELM2939 A1C2S788 ECM0848 VTCE0408Z ECM0848 ESM3106 VTCR0408Z VTCE0408Z A1N5S014 90 JUMBO JET EXPLODED VIEW - TAB.7 VATSP2213I ESM2526 ELE2938 ESM2525 VTCR0306Z A1C2S765 VTBE0316Z ELM3149 VATSP2916Z A1N3S704 A1N2S699 ELM3150 ELM3151 ESM2530 A1N4S685 91 JUMBO JET EXPLODED VIEW - TAB.8 VRO05Z VTE0510Z ELM2793 VTBE0506I VDAEA05Z ESM2796 VTCE0406Z VATC2965Z ESM2795G A1N1SA107GR 92 JUMBO JET EXPLODED VIEW - TAB.9 VTCE0410Z ESM2069 EVM2118G A1N2S541 ECM0826 A1N3S653GR ECM0981 VTRBTX0416Z ELM2433 ELM2424 ESM2439 ECM0931 ESM2809 ECM0826 ELM2160 ESM2358 VATCB2245Z ESM1432 A1N1SA157 93 ECM0927 JUMBO JET EXPLODED VIEW - TAB.10 ECM0996 ECM0980 A1C2S606 A1N1SA264 A1C3S701 ESM3191 VTCE0414I EGM2871 ELM2863 ELM2847 ECM0826 VTSPE0306I ELM3189 ESM3190 ESM2758 VGRPC0306I ELM2881 ECC0027L ELM2872 ELM2883 VTSPE0306I ECC0028L ECM0972 A1N1SA264 ECM0971 94 JUMBO JET EXPLODED VIEW - TAB.11 VTRBTX0416Z VTCE0416I EGM2867 VATCB2965I ECM0983 VTCE0414I VTCE0416I ELM3110 ELM2868 VTCE0310I VTCE0310I ELM2862 A1C1SA196 VATCB2965I ECM0983 VTCE0416I ELM3153 VTCE0310I ELM3152 ELM2862 VTCE0310I ELM3320 EGM2867 VTCE0416I A1C2S606 95 A1N1SA296 JUMBO JET EXPLODED VIEW - TAB.12 ECE1284 ELM0993 ECE1285 ECE1290 ELM3374 ESM3244 VTCE0412I VTCE0312ZK ECE1250 ELM3255 ECC0035L VDAEN04I ECE1282 ESM2634 VDAEN05I ELM3319 EFM3173 VATCB2913I ELM3245 A1N1SA261 A1N1SA215 96 JUMBO JET EXPLODED VIEW - TAB.13 ECM0905 VTSPE0412Z ELM1972 ELM3247 A1N1SA247 ECM0905 ELM3139 VTSPE0416Z VRO04Z VDAEA04Z ESM2688 A1C2S696 97 Kit per infilaggio pneumatico Pneumatic threading kit Kit pour enfilage pneumatique Kit für pneumatisches Einfädeln Kit para enhebrado neumático A A 2P 4P 6P 8P cod.
