We are
Carovana Romantica is an official FIVA Class B Event that takes place since 1981 in
Italy and in the Mediterranean Countries. It is a long distance touristic rally, reserved to 35/40
veteran cars from 1900 to 1945 (FIVA class B,C,D,E). The organization team reserves the right
to admit cars in F class. Carovana Romantica is a non-competitive event that offers participants a
journey to discover food and wine traditions, monuments and natural beauties, routes and places
unusual and unique in Italy and in the Mediterranean countries.
The event offers annually a journey of about 800/900 km in 7/8 days, through alternative routes
of great scenic interest among small hamlets, big cities, etc..
Along the route Carovana organizes, in cooperation with local authorities, moments of welcome
and opportunities for aggregation and presentation to the public of the vehicles, such as sprint
races, gatherings with local folk groups and bands, parades in the square.

Carovana is addressed to European collectors who like to drive their cars in freedom, in
the company of friends and in an exclusive environment, although informal and jovial.
Hospitality and Leisure
Carovana offers participants a refined hospitality in hotels and class facilities often
exclusive, as well as offering moments of tasting of local specialities and light lunch at
restaurants, wineries, farms, small local producers who welcome the participants with small
cognitive events and social gatherings, always in keeping with the spirit of the event. Great
Chefs and personalities from the world of gastronomy often welcome Carovana with exclusive
tastings. In the evening gala dinners, special musical events, dances are provided.

We will drive in the Siena surroundings and the
Chianti region with their picturesque villages,
wineries, and beautiful countryside, visiting some
of the most representative and suggestive
vineyards and cantinas.
typical handcrafts
In the area around Perugia, we will discover some
of the excellence production like Oil mills in
Bettona, Ceramics in Deruta and the Italian
Cachemere district.
Spiritual locations
In Assisi and Gubbio we will visit some of the
largest temples of Christianity, together with other
medieval monuments.
Medieval Villages
We will pass troughs a lot of medieval walled hill
towns, as Bevagna, Cortona and San Gimignano,
and Renaissance towns in the Val D'Orcia as
Pienza, an UNESCO World Heritage Site.
