Developing transnational cooperation between Finland
and Italy (Eastern Finland and Middle-Italy)

fishing industry group of Eastern Finland, represent of the board of
Rural Partners-project, media coordinator of LAGs, totally 23 persons

AIMS/GOALS:
-to promote transnational collaboration/projects between Italy and Eastern Finland, getting
familiar with Leader-method and GAC-work in Italy
-to exchange of developing ideas for rural areas, and promote cooperation between cities and
rural areas

9.4. Travelling and visiting MISEN-event in Ferrara (Sagre e dintorni)
Flights SK - SAS Kuopio – Helsinki 07.00 – 07.45, Helsinki –Kööpenhamina 10.00-10.40,
Kööpenhamina- Bologna 14.25-16.30. (Pekka Sahama: flight Amsterdam-Bol. 16.45, joins the
group in Bologna).
Merja Alm, Fernando Pierluga with the bus in the airport.
Transfer to Misen-event in Ferrara.
18.30-20.30 Visiting and getting familiar with Italian and Ferraran local food in Misen. Northern
Savo local food and area are also in the show (cook Mikko Rosendahl and media coordinator Jari
Sihvonen). Promoting transnational relationships in the field of slow food.
20.45-22.45 Transfer to Marche, Pesaro. On the way represent of CAG will tell about developing
work of CAGs in Marche. Accommodation in hotel Mediterraneo www.hmed.it, Viale Trieste 199,
61121 Pesaro.
10.4. MARCHE, FISHERIES INDUSTRY, GACs and GAL Flaminio Cesano
8.00 breakfast in the hotel
9.00 transfer Pesaro-Fano (circa 10 km). 9.30 Getting familiar with harbor of Fano and fish
wholesale, director Angelo Nardini.
11.00 Transfer to Fratterosa village. Visiting old monastery Santa Vittoria and it´s ceramics museo
and workshop implemented by leader fund.
13.00 Lunch in agritourism. Presentation of Leader GAL Flaminio Cesano, Mr. Daniele Luzi.
Presentations of Finnish LAGs and fisheries group. Negotiations of cooperation.

Circa 17.00-19.00
Transfer to Umbria in Terni. Accommodation in Hotel Valentino
www.hotelvalentinoterni.com (Via Plinio il Giovane 3/5, 05100 Terni). Joint dinner with GAL
Ternano.
11.4. AREA OF GAL TERNANO , rural developing and rural entrepreneurship, discussions of
cooperation
8.00 breakfast in the hotel
9.00-n. 18.00 Getting familiar of GAL Ternano´s developing programme and projects (Paolo
Pennazzi). Visiting rural enterprises (farms of wine, olives, meat ect.)
Lunch. Discussions of possible fields of cooperation (promoting rural tourism, marketing of rural
products, cultural and youth exchange, exchange of rural entrepreneurs…). Possible visit in
Marmore waterfalls.
20.00 Joint dinner and night in Terni in Valentino.

12.4. ITALIAN NETWORK UNIT IN ROME, COOPERATION MEASURE IN ITALY. RURAL
DEVELOPMENT IN ITALY.
ANCIENT ROME.
7.00 Breakfast in the hotel in Terni.
8.00 Transfer to Rome with the bus. Light lunch on the way. 13.00-15.30 Visit to rural network unit
in Rome. (Ms. Barbara Zanetti ja Ms. Anna-Lisa Del Prete); Getting familiar with Rural develompent
programme in Italy, Cooperation measure in Italy, transnational projects.
16.00 Tour in Rome: 2-3 hours, guide Mr. Ari Pihlava. Free time in Rome. Accommodation and
night in hotel Palladium Palace www.hotelpalladiumpalace.com) (Via Gioberti, 36-00185 Roma).
(option: to join the dinner with Rural Network unit persons in Rome at 20.00).
13.4. BACK HOME
7.00- breakfast in the hotel
In the morning free time in Rome.
11.45 transfer to airport Fiumicino Rome.
