I am the Contact Person in Italy for PWC in regard to the administration of Lehman
Brothers, and specifically for the management and divestment of LB’s assets in Italy.
My job mainly concerns the restructuring of all real estate positions (equity, mezzanine financing,
NPLs), and I work with Senior Banks, Borrowers, Liquidators and Managers, also in regard to
operations involving the issue of participating financial instruments, arrangements with creditors
and bankruptcy arrangements, restructuring agreements under Section 182bis, and other bankruptcy
procedures.
I hold – among others – the following corporate positions within the group:

Member of the Global Real Estate Group team with responsibilities relating to the origination
and management of equity, mezzanine financing, senior debt and syndication.
Experience includes involvement in: corporate and real estate due diligence, the structuring of
transactions and the negotiation of Term sheets, joint venture agreements, (debt and equity)
syndication strategies, liaising with independent lawyers during the negotiation of contracts,
preliminary investigations on behalf of credit committees, liaising with asset management
companies in regard to investments made with real estate funds, service agreements, the creation
and management of Section-106 vehicles for mezzanine financing purposes.
Main financial transactions:
 The acquisition of 50% of shareholdings, in a joint venture with Sansedoni S.p.A., of VIM, a
property management company sold by Monte dei Paschi di Siena. Value of the transaction:
€ 100 million.
 Takeover Bid for a listed real estate fund (Fondo Beta), the owner of office buildings. Value
of the transaction: € 350 million (the second largest in Italy).
 The structuring of the acquisition by The Carlyle Group of a mixed-use portfolio
originating from Beni Stabili, Pirelli RE, Reale Mutua Assicurazioni and other investors.
Value of the transaction: approx. € 500 million.
 The acquisition, through a real estate fund, of a portfolio of shopping malls managed in Italy
by Unieuro (Dixon Group) in a joint venture with General Electric Real Estate. Value of the
transaction: € 150 million.
 The acquisition, through a real estate fund, of a mixed-use portfolio from Cattolica
Assicurazioni. Value of the transaction: € 180 million.
 The structuring of the acquisition, by the Cordea Savills Group, of various mixed-use
portfolios originating from Telecom Italia, Beni Stabili, Gabetti, Pirelli RE, Reale Mutua
Assicurazioni and other investors. Value of the transaction: € 500 million.
 Equity investment, in a joint venture with Prelli RE and Conwert Immobilien, and the
subsequent financing for the acquisition of 1,600 residential apartments in the centre of
Berlin. Value of the transaction: € 37 million.

Group, on the part of banks in the Capitalia Group (Banca di Roma, Bipop Carire, MCC and
Banco di Sicilia), Interbanca and Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena (Projects Orione 1 and
2).
 The financing of the acquisition of a residential portfolio by a company in the Gruppo
Zunino, in a pool with The Royal Bank of Scotland and Société Générale (Project Zeta
Land).
 The acquisition of a Beni Stabili company, financed by Banca Intesa and Calyon (Project
Palazzi Alti).
