Sigma-Tau per la prima volta sintetizza la forma
biologicamente attiva dell’acetil-L-carnitina che condurrà

La Casa Editrice Sigma-Tau dà alle stampe il primo numero
di Sfera, innovativa rivista di scienza, cultura umanistica e
arte, pubblicata fino al 1995 e insignita in Italia del Premio
Galileo e in Francia del Prix Caméra.
The Sigma-Tau publishing house releases the first issue of Sfera,
an innovative review of science, liberal arts and figurative art.

Costituzione di Sigma-Tau Research Switzerland SA con sede
a Mendrisio (CH), centro che coordina attività di R&D
su progetti selezionati, con particolare attenzione all’ambito
delle malattie rare. Il Gruppo approda nel mercato cinese
e diventa azionista di maggioranza (29,9%) della Lee’s
Pharmaceutical Holdings Ltd con base a Hong Kong.
Incorporation of Sigma-Tau Research Switzerland SA located in
Mendrisio (CH), a centre that coordinates R&D activities on
selected projects, focusing in particular on rare diseases.
The Group lands in the Chinese market and becomes a majority

malattie rare in ambito oncologico. Lo stabilimento
produttivo Enzon di Indianapolis (l’attuale Sigma-Tau
Pharma Source Inc.) è rilevato da Sigma-Tau
Pharmaceuticals Inc., filiale americana che ne
commercializza i prodotti sul mercato statunitense.

Pharmaceuticals, a company that holds patents in drugs for the
treatment of rare oncology diseases. The Enzon manufacturing
plant in Indianapolis (currently Sigma-Tau Pharma Source
Inc.) is taken over by Sigma-Tau Pharmaceuticals Inc., its
distributor for the US.
