SPIAGGE - Con più di 2415 Km di costa che si affacciano sull’Atlantico e le sue
due isole – Nantucket e Martha’s Vineyard – il Massachusetts vanta più di 80
spiagge. Rinomate sono quelle di Cape Cod, di Cape Ann e della costa a Sud
ed a Nord di Boston. A disposizione dei viaggiatori ci sono anche numerose spiagge lungo i
laghi, i bacini artificiali ed all’interno dei National Parks.
SPORT - Il Massachusetts è una vera mecca per gli sportivi. È sede di squadre
professionistiche di hockey, basket, baseball, football americano e calcio. Numerosi sono
gli impianti sportivi, tra cui bisogna citare lo storico Fenway Park e l’avveniristico TD
Banknorth Garden di Boston. Lo Stato è famoso per i suoi eventi sportivi di rilevanza
mondiale, tra cui la regata Head of the Charles Crew Race e la Boston Marathon. Gli
appassionati di sport possono anche visitare lo Sports Museum of New England e le Hall of
Fame del basket e del volley.
ARTE & CULTURA - Disseminati sul territorio del Massachusetts ci sono più di 170 musei
di arte, storia e sport. A disposizione dei visitatori ci sono anche tre Living History Museum
che ricreano vita ed abitudini della popolazione locale in vari periodi della storia del New
England. Il Massachusetts vanta anche più di 50 teatri, sale da concerto ad altre strutture
per lo spettacolo. In questi edifici si esibiscono alcuni tra i migliori musicisti, danzatori ed

SHOPPING - Lo Stato della Baia è famoso per gli affari ed i viaggiatori

GASTRONOMIA - L’eterogeneità culturale del Massachusetts si traduce in una cucina
gustosamente varia ed interessante. Le leccornie locali includono il pesce fresco del New
England, i frutti ed i prodotti di campagna.
Da citare sono anche lo sciroppo d’acero, i cranberries – sorta di
mirtilli rossi – ed i baked beans – una zuppa

salmastra ospitano una variegata avifauna e rare specie di piante. Ad ottobre lo
