Polini TORSEN WD è la nuovissima serie di forcelloni per tutti gli scooter che montano motore Piaggio
e Minarelli 50 cc. Il forcellone TORSEN WD, caratterizzato dalla sua forma a capriata, irrigidisce
il carter motore evitando flessioni anomale che, sui motori più performanti, possono portare alla
rottura del carter motore. Un cuscinetto di supporto esterno al perno ruota evita inoltre flessioni
ed attriti anomali, migliorando il rendimento e le perfomance della trasmissione. Le caratteristiche
di rigidità del forcellone Polini TORSEN WD, assicurano una maggiore stabilità di guida con un
controllo ottimale dello scooter soprattutto in curva e, riducendo al tempo stesso l’usura asimmetrica
del pneumatico. La linea del TORSEN WD è chiaramente ispirata ai forcelloni delle Moto GP con il
caratteristico disegno a boomerang. La marmitta rimane aderente al veicolo permettendo notevoli
angoli di piega sulle curve delle piste senza però che lo scarico strisci sull’asfalto. TORSEN WD è
destinato sia alle gare in pista, sia al normale uso cittadino. Può essere montato esclusivamente
se accoppiato alla nuova gamma di marmitte Polini da competizione Big Evolution o alle marmitte
Polini Omologate per uso stradale For Race 2 e Scooter Team. La gamma di forcelloni Polini TORSEN
WD e le relative marmitte che ne permettono il montaggio, sono disponibili per i motori Piaggio sia
a carter corto che lungo, per i motori Minarelli serie CW cilindro verticale, serie MY (aria) e serie MA
(H2O) con cilindro orizzontale e carter lungo.

Polini “TORSEN WD” is the brand new swing arm for all the scooters equipped with Piaggio and
Minarelli 50cc engines. The TORSEN WD swing arm, thanks to its truss shape, stiffens the engine
cases avoiding anomalous flex that on these types of engine may break the casing. Furthermore
the addition of a bearing to support the axles avoids flex and stress improving the transmission efficiency. The system is more rigid improving the stability when driving the bike and when cornering.
It reduces the tire asymmetric wear. The TORSEN WD line is clearly inspired to the Moto Gp swing
arm with its boomerang design. The muffler stays adherent to the vehicle allowing the bike to lean
over on the track to incredible angles without letting the muffler touch the asphalt. TORSEN WD is
dedicated both to the on track races use and to the city drive and it can be fitted exclusively together
with the new Big Evolution mufflers or the For Race 2 and Scooters team Homologated ones. The
new range of TORSEN WD swing arms and its attendant mufflers are available for the Piaggio
engines, both with short and log case, for the Minarelli engines, CW serie with vertical cylinder, MY
serie (air) and MA serie (H2O) with horizontal cylinder and long case.

Sono stati progettati in collaborazione con la Paioli ma sono stati sviluppati direttamente in pista dal Team Polini Scooter.
Gli ammortizzatori Polini “EVOLUTION SHOCKS” si distinguono per le avanzate soluzioni tecniche che consentono un
facile set-up migliorando anche le maneggevolezza dello scooter, l’inserimento in curva, le prestazioni e, soprattutto,
la sicurezza di guida. Sono disponibili alla vendita in coppia, anteriore e posteriore, ma è possibile acquistarli anche
singolarmente.
CARATTERISTICHE TECNICHE
- Regolazione estensione tramite pomello su 20 posizioni con variazione effettiva idraulica del 90%.
- Regolazione compressione tramite sistema coassiale per separare alte e basse velocità con variazione effettiva
idraulica oltre il 270%.
- Regolazione interasse ammortizzatore con blocco di sicurezza e senza l’ausilio di chiavi di regolazione di 23mm
(solo per il mono posteriore).
- Tubo cilindro e tubo serbatoio in alluminio anodizzato duro per garantire scambio termico, bassi attriti e alta resistenza.
- Serbatoio minimizzato per ridurre peso, attriti e ingombro al minimo, pur mantenendo alte performance.
- Lubrificante speciale di derivazione aeronautica per garantire durata e costanza di prestazioni, sia alle basse che alle
alte temperature.
Designed in collaboration with Paioli, they have been developed during the races by the Polini Scooter team. The new
Polini “EVOLUTION SHOCKS” feature advanced technical solutions that allow an easy set up, improve the handling, the
balance on entering a bend, the performance but, above all, the driving safety level. They can be purchased together,
front and rear, or individually.
TECHNICAL FEATURES
- Adjustable extension by a knob on 20 different positions with effective hydraulic variation of 90%
- Compression regulation by coaxial system to separate high and low speed with effective hydraulic variation of 270%
- Adjustable centre distance with security lock and without 23mm regulation keys (for the single rear one)
- Cylinder tube and tank tube made of hard anodized aluminum to grant better heat exchange , low friction and
high resistance.
- Small tank to reduce weight, the space occupied and friction but maintaining high performance.
- Special oil coming from the aeronautic world to grant longer life and constant performance, both at low and high
temperatures.

Sviluppate con specifiche soluzioni tecniche di ergonomia finalizzate alla sicurezza di guida
sono prodotte con elastomeri e tecnopolimeri selezionati di derivazione aerospaziale.
La superficie esterna è antiscivolo con due differenti basi d’appoggio: una più liscia specifica
per il palmo, l’altra più adatta alle dita. Le due basi d’appoggio offrono così una migliore
presa e garantiscono maggiore comfort di guida. La flangia paramano con nervature a
cedimento controllato impedisce alla mano di scivolare ed elimina le vibrazioni.
Developed using a specific ergonomic technical solution finalized to the safety driving, they
are produced with selected elastomers and technopolymers coming from the aerospace
origin. The outside surface is anti-slipping with two different support bases: one smoother
specific for the palm, the other right for the fingers. Both the support bases offer a better
grip and grant more comfort during the drive. The hand cover flange with ribs prevent the
hand from slipping and neutralizes the vibrations.

Le manopole “Big Evolution” sono ancora più specifiche per le gare. Sono realizzate con
lo stampaggio di due gomme con densità diversa. Più rigida e resistente la parte a contatto
con il manubrio, molto morbida la parte a contatto con la base d’appoggio della mano in
modo da trasmettere la massima sensibilità di guida al pilota.

The “Big Evolution” grips are even more specific for the races. They are made by molding
two rubbers of a different density. The part in contact with the handlebar is stiffer and more
resistant, while the part in contact with the hand is softer in order to give the rider the
maximum driving sensibility.

Sava have been developing their race tyres in the Polini Italian Cup
races over the last couple of seasons and with this development they
have now released a homologated scooter road tyre for the public.
