Conference Venue
The IEJCat-6 is a high-level "Gordon-style"
conference with the aim to discuss in an open
format recent advances and perspectives in
catalysis, with emphasis on unpublished data,
new concepts and ideas.
The general topic is the Design of advanced
multifunctional catalysts for sustainable
processes
The conference will be hosted at the summer
seat of the University of Padova, via Rio Bianco 6,
39042 Bressanone/ Brixen (BZ), Italy.
Brixen is an historic city at 560 m of altitude in
the centre of South Tyrol, situated directly at the
Brenner motorway and the Brenner railway line.
Brixen is close to everything: the Dolomite
mountains (their unique beauty was recognised
by UNESCO and in 2009 were declared a World
Heritage Area), Val Gardena, the Seiser Alm,
Meran, Bozen, the Kronplatz, Alta Badia,
Obereggen-Latemar, North Tyrol, Trentino.
The key aspects are:
 Going beyond the cascade/one-pot approach
for multistep complex reactions
 Tailoring catalysts nano-architecture in
multistep reactions
 Ad-hoc design of multifunctional catalysts to
maximize the selectivity
 Linking catalyst and reactor nanoscale design
for a novel and safer strategy of multistep
processes
