Allora? Grazie della vostra partecipazione e collaborazione. We are approaching a very serious and important moment of the parish life. A moment of prayer, reflection and of gathering together in solidarity with the sick that are living a very trying time. It’s very important because in our humanity we are not only affected by difficult challenges but also with illnesses which become a constant point of reality of life. Let us begin to prepare ourselves. Traditionally we will have the celebration of the Eucharist under the tent (14 August at 10:30) with the sacrament of Holy unction and anointment for the sick. It is necessary to register to be able to receive this sacrament and to prepare oneself mentally and spiritually. After the echaristic celebration, lunch will be available: pasta and meatballs, steak, sausage, salad, pizza and porchetta. To help pay for the tent there will be a dinner dance on August 13. The price is $35.00 per person. So far only 15 people have booked. Anyone else? Thank you for participation and cooperation. Grazie! The parish continues to work to make good use of the new property. It is a long-term project, but for now we are happy with "small steps." As you can see, we’ve made good progress on the installation of the Madonna statue! When the granite block arrives it will be placed over the concrete base and the statue of the Madonna will sit on top. It is still too early to commit to the inauguration. I would like remind parishioners who are interested in contributing to the repayment of the new property, that we are ready to start accepting this year’s donation of $1,000 (with receipt). Gesù sorride e risponde «no, grazie». No, grazie: possiamo benissimo capire da noi cosa è giusto fare. Forty people are travelling this weekend on a pilgrimage to some beautiful shrines in Quebec. We will say a special prayer for all, especially the grandparents and the sick. DAL VANGELO Lc 12,13-21 gods. In the account we can also see the connection between covetousness and fear.
