Il nuovo sub NEOS218 adotta 2 altoparlanti da 18" con magnete
in neodimio, bobina da 4" ISV (Interleaved Sandwich Voice coil);
il cestello pressofuso con doppia ventilazione è progettato per
un'alta dissipazione del calore per ridurre il livello di power compression. Un'escursione meccanica ottimizzata è garantita dal
sistema DSS (Double Silicon Spider) che tiene sotto controllo la
linearità del sistema. Una bassa distorsione ed una qualità sonora eccellente sono ancora più valorizzate dall'uso di doppi anelli
demodulanti DDR (Double Demodulating Rings).

High output subwoofer
Il subwoofer NEOS218 è realizzato con un nuovo disegno, che
sfrutta il massimo dei due classici allineamenti, il livello d’uscita
ed il controllo della dispersione dei sistemi a tromba, la profondità e smorzamento dei bass reflex con condotto a profilo esponenziale e simmetrico, raggiungendo un SPL massimo di 134 dB.
La cassa in multistrato di betulla da 18 mm è ricoperta con un
forte spessore di vernice Protector-coat robusta ed antigraffio con
ruote posteriori per semplificarne il trasporto.
Disponibile sia in versione passiva (NEOS218SP) che processata
attiva con crossover stereo, amplificatore classe D e alimentatore
switching (NEOS218SA), questo modello è il compagno ideale di
tutti i satelliti della serie NEOS.
Per configurare un sistema passivo completo, si raccomanda di
usare l’ASO25 Active System Optimizer oppure il DSO26. Il taglio
di frequenza ottimale per la NEOS218SP va da 80 Hz a 125 Hz.
The new NEOS218 subwoofer employs 2 x 18" loudspeaker with
Neodymium magnets woofer, 4" interleaved sandwich voice coil
(ISV) and die-cast basket with double ventilation design for
improved heat dissipation to reduce the value of the power compression. The optimised mechanical excursion is granted by a unique DSS (Double Silicon Spider) which controls the linearity of
system. The low distortion and excellent sound quality are still
further improved by the use of double demodulating rings (DDR).
The NEOS218 unique design enclosure combines the punch and
directionality of a horn loaded system with the extended and
damped response of a vented box with exponential aerodynamic
profile port with a maximum SPL of up to 134 dB.
The 18 mm birch enclosure is finished with an anti-scratch multilayer of Protector-coat black texture and rear casters for improved portability for optimum touring applications.
The NEOS218 is available in both version, passive (NEOS218SP)
or active, processed with stereo built in cross over, class D and
switching power supply amplifier (NEOS218SA), is the ideal companion for all the NEOS speakers.
For configurations of complete passive sound systems, it is
recommended to use the ASO25 Active System Optimizer or
DSO26. The NEOS218 cut-off frequency ranges from 80 Hz to
125 Hz.
