LUISS School
of government
In 2009 the LUISS School of Government (SoG) has
been launched. The SoG, inspired by Kennedy School of
Government of Harvard University, is a graduate training
school for high-level public and private officials who handle
political and government decision-making processes. Its
goal is to help prepare the managerial class in different areas
to work within public and private organisations, so that
they can develop, set and assess public policies and political
choices on a general level. The School is organized into four
one-year Masters: two with a mainly Italian connotation
and the other two with a European and international
connotation.
The Director of the School is Prof. Sergio Fabbrini. The
activities of the School, including those regarding
recruitment, are overseen by a Scientific Board, chaired by
Prof. Marc Lazar (Sciences Po) and composed of the following
scholars: Anthony Atkinson (Nuffield College, Oxford
University); Cristina Bicchieri (University of Pennsylvania);
Marcello Clarich (LUISS); David Held (London School of
Economics and Political Science); Angelo Panebianco
(University of Bologna); Claudio Radaelli (University of
Exeter).

di Harvard, la SoG è una scuola di
formazione dell’alto funzionariato

LUISS has various partnerships with other European and non
European universities within the framework of the European
Union’s LLP Erasmus Programme and other Bilateral Agreements.
These partnerships allow students to spend a semester at one
of the partner universities, benefitting from a scholarship to
cover some of the additional expenses. International students
will thus have the opportunity not only to study in Italy but
also to get to know and to study in another country.
