Following the highly successful drama C’era una volta la città dei matti
on Basaglia and Rino Gaetano, ma il cielo è sempre più blu, Marco Turco
returns to Rai Uno with a story never told before on TV: the protagonists
of Altri tempi (Other times), airing on March 18 and 19, are the brothels
and Senator Merlin’s battle told through the story of Maddalena (Vittoria
Puccini), a prostitute who must make the painful decision to give up her
daughter. By her side as she evolves from a young girl in trouble into the
charming and alluring Ninfa, the madam of the city’s most prestigious
brothel – are the other ladies of the night Duchessa (Stefania Rocca),
Camilla, Viola, Edda, Agata, and Betty (Marina Rocco, Elena Radonicich,
Camilla Semino Favro, Viviana Altieri, and Marta Iagatti).
Everything revolves around a letter by Maddalena – read by her daughter
Adele (Valentina Corti) – revealing many secrets and confessions and
sent to Senator Merlin (Benedetta Buccellato), the courageous woman
who bravely faced a difficult battle among the many contrasts of Italy in
the 1950’s that lead to the closure of the brothels.
Francesco Scianna, Thomas Trabacchi, Fausto Russo Alesi, Mattia Sbragia, Giselda Volodi, and Bebo Storti complete the cast.
Altri tempi is a Rai Fiction - 11 Marzo Film co-production, produced by

Claudio is a forty-year old who enjoys his wealth and easily switches from

L’Assalto tells of the encounter between an entrepreneur from
the province of Milan, Giancarlo Ferraris, and the ‘Ndrangheta.
The backdrop, Lombardy: the fears of other entrepreneurs,
the weaknesses of politics and his daughter, Federica, a recent
engineering graduate who knows that sooner or later she will have to flank
her father at the head of the family business. The crisisdoesn’t take long
to arrive: Ferraris, without help, begins to fail in his business
and is approached by the ‘Ndrangheta, accepting their conditions
to save his work, which has
represented personal and regional growth over the past years.

Ten years after the end of the Trojan War, Ulysses, the king of Ithaca, has still not returned to his island. Penelope, deprived of her husband, and her son Telemaco, deprived of his father, are the only ones who still believe that he is alive and desperately
fight among intrigues and power struggles to maintain order on the island, trying to
keep the pretenders, who are increasingly violent and troublemaking, at bay. The latter,
eager to seize the island and the kingdom, try everything they can think of to force
Penelope to marry one of them. Penelope resists with force and cunning, delaying
the marriage with the excuse that she must weave the cloth for the funeral of her father-in-law Laerte – a cloth that she unravels each night to gain time. She continues
to hope that Ulysses will return and prays to the gods to see her husband, to whom
she has remained faithful, again. But even when Ulysses finally returns home and
takes back the throne of Ithaca, how will he deal with a son that he has never met?
How will he feel toward a woman that he hasn’t seen for so many years? Will he still
be able to govern the island with wisdom? How much have the wounds of the war
and voyage marked his soul? His return, which was awaited with much love and hope,
will prove to be very difficult for Penelope and Telemaco, who will be faced with a violent and suspicious man who is unable to understand his son’s feelings, forcing him
to marry a woman that he doesn’t love, and who is lost in the memories of his painful
past. It’s not the Ulysses that Penelope hoped to embrace again, but a man who
doubts her, his friends, and his son. But, always a hero, in the decisive moment he
will fight bravely to save his kingdom.
