… the old city centre of Freiburg glows again
in golden light: the Christmas Market at
Rathausplatz, the Kartoffelmarkt, Franzis­
kanerstrasse and Unterlindenplatz opens its
doors! Large and small, young and old are
fascinated by the colourful variety of goods,
the sweet scents and the glittering lights.
You can find everything on offer, from high quality ceramic
articles, via colourful decoration articles through to real jewellery,
while the delicious scents of cinnamon, clove and nougat fill the
narrow streets and awaken the visitor’s dream of Christmas. And,
it is the eyes of the children which light up especially, when they
can bake their own Christmas biscuits at the Kartoffelmarkt and
create their own colourful candles at the candle workshop in
Franziskanerstrasse.
Naturally, too, the harmonious sounds and sermons accompany
us throughout the Christmas period: to the ecumenical advent
impulse in St. Martin’s Church at the town hall square – where you
are heartily welcome!

Chaque année …
… la vieille ville de Fribourg brille de nouveau de tous ses feux : le
marché de Noël ouvre ses portes sur la place de l’Hôtel de ville,
sur le Kartoffelmarkt, dans la Franziskanerstraße et sur la place
Unterlindenplatz ! Petits et grands se laissent émerveiller par la
diversité de son assortiment multicolore, ses parfums sucrés et le
scintillement de ses lumières.
Céramiques de grande qualité, articles de décoration hauts en
couleurs, bijoux précieux, l’offre est innombrable. Les arômes
alléchants de la cannelle, des clous de girofle et du nougat vous
attirent dans les ruelles et vous entraînent dans les rêves de Noël.
Les yeux des enfants se mettent à briller lorsqu’ils font cuire
les biscuits traditionnels qu’ils ont eux-mêmes préparés dans
la boulangerie de Noël, sur la place du Kartoffelmarkt, ou qu’ils
fabriquent des bougies multicolores dans l’atelier de bougies de
la Franziskanerstraße.

Mercatino di Natale di Freiburg
Come ogni anno il centro storico di Friburgo si presenta in tutto
il suo brillante splendore. Nell’area compresa tra Rathausplatz
(piazza del Municipio), Kartoffelmarkt, Franziskanerstraße e
Unterlindenplatz, il mercatino di Natale attende grandi e piccini
per affascinarli con la sua tanta merce variopinta, i suoi dolci
aromi e le sue scintillanti luci.
Non c’è che l’imbarazzo della scelta: dalle ceramiche preziose ai
colorati oggetti decorativi fino ai gioielli - il tutto inondato da
quel delizioso ed inebriante profumo di cannella, fiori di garofano
e nocciole tostate che si diffonde per i vicoli. A brillare sono, poi,
soprattutto gli occhi dei bambini quando fanno i loro biscotti
nella “panetteria natalizia” del Kartoffelmarkt o creano colorate
candele nell’apposita officina della Franziskanerstraße.
Naturalmente in questo periodo non possono mancare né suoni
né riflessioni: ogni giorno, alle 17.30, vi invitiamo a vivere un
impulso ecumenico prenatalizio nella chiesa di San Martino sulla
piazza del Municipio (Rathausplatz).

In December, one of the most beautiful streets in the city centre transforms into a
brilliant background for the “Advent in the Gerberau”, involving the museums, the
Alemannische Bühne (Allemanic Theatre), as well as business and gastronomy.

For all those who like to be infected, there is a surprise behind the doors of the
calendar on 12th / 13th December: Bollschweil Castle opens its doors for the BoGart
Christmas Market. The festively decorated courtyards and coach houses extend an
invitation to tour the castle. Fir branches adorn the windows, red candles light your
way and there is romantic illumination everywhere you go.
Une surprise attend tous ceux qui veulent se piquer au jeu derrière les portes des 11, 12
et 13 décembre du calendrier de l’Avent : le château de Bollschweil ouvre ses portes pour
le marché de Noël BoGart. Les décorations évocatrices des cours et remises du château
vous invitent à la flânerie parmi les stands. Les branches de sapin aux fenêtres, les
bougies rouges étincelantes créent une ambiance très romantique.

The gardens and the courtyard of the baroque Ebnet Castle form the impressive back­
ground for the 21st Christkindl Market on the first Advent Sunday. 65 stands with
numerous festive and personal gift ideas, advent music and angels, the scent of mulled wine and biscuits make the guest’s visit an experience of a very special nature.
Le parc et la cour du château baroque d’Ebnet constituent le cadre magnifique du 21e
marché de Noël, le 1er dimanche de l’Avent. 65 stands proposant des idées de cadeaux
originales, musique et anges de l’Avent, parfums du vin chaud et des biscuits traditionnels font de la visite du marché de Noël un événement inoubliable.
La prima domenica dell’Avvento il giardino ed il cortile del castello barocco di Ebnet si
trasformano in uno scenario ideale per la 21° edizione del mercatino natalizio. Le
