Il materiale di studio per i contenuti di grammatica sopra elencati sono le corrispondenti unità del
volume Oxford Practice Grammar e del testo On Stage (units 5-7-10). Si raccomanda di fare
sempre riferimento a entrambi i volumi per attività di approfondimento e di supporto.
Il materiale di studio per i contenuti di letteratura sopra elencati sono i seguenti moduli da Only
Connect: “From the Origins to the Augustan Age” = Module 1 (The Origins), Module 2 (The Middle
Ages), Module 3 (The Renaissance), Module 4 (The Puritan Age), Module 5 (The Restoration: solo la
parte introduttiva sul contesto storico-sociale-letterario, pp. C1-C11)
ATTIVITÀ DI APPROFONDIMENTO: nel secondo quadrimestre (da marzo) è stata svolta la lettura guidata in
classe del romanzo Vanity Fair (versione semplificata); sono stati svolti esercizi sul testo e le relative
letture di approfondimento (capp. 1-8), oltre ad un’introduzione generale alla vita e alle opere
dell’autore (W. Thackeray) e alla contestualizzazione del romanzo nell’epoca vittoriana. Alcune
attività conclusive su Vanity Fair verranno assegnate per le vacanze estive e riprese all’inizio del
nuovo anno scolastico.
CORSO DI RECUPERO: è stato svolto un corso di recupero (5 incontri per un totale di 8 ore: 4 incontri
pomeridiani di 1 ora e 30’ ciascuno; un incontro in orario curricolare di 2 ore) per il ripasso di alcuni
argomenti grammaticali e di language use (Units 5-7-10 di On Stage).
