Biografia
Martini Bros è un nome che dal 2001 è stato un riferimento, e spesso una fonte, per tutti quei ricercatori di musica
indie che non si accontentavano delle chart e nemmeno volevano restare a ballare nella loro cameretta.
Fin dall’inizio l’impegno è massimo e le iniziative tantissime (date in bar da 20 persone e locali da 800, show
radiofonici, promozione, newsletter, organizzazione concerti, …) ed in breve tempo il progetto è conosciuto in tutta
Italia e anche a Londra, in tempi in cui Myspace non era usato nemmeno da Tom.
Dopo tre anni dall’aver fondato Martini Bros, nel 2004 Gian Maria Girardi inaugura Foreign Affairs, ufficio
stampa/promozione per band ed etichette rigorosamente straniere, quasi tutte inglesi alle quali offre copertura su
stampa/radio/tv/web e occasionalmente dei piccoli tour in Italia.

Al rientro da alcune date a Londra a inizio 2006 lancia una one night chiamata Excuse Me, dove la musica è un
groviglio disco/rock, ovvero tutta quell’elettronica influenzata dalle chitarre, e tutte quelle chitarre influenzate
dall’elettronica. Da allora Excuse Me cresce costantemente fino ad essere un nome riconosciuto e richiesto in Italia e in
tutta Europa, grazie al suo carattere sfrontato e alla continua ricerca di remix e white labels.
