Sono passati più di 20 anni da quando decisi di fondare il Team
Granfondo Pinarello (oggi semplicemente ribattezzato IL TEAM) e da
lì a poco, assieme a Raffaello ed all’attuale Comitato Organizzatore, decidemmo di dar vita alla nostra personale Granfondo quì a Treviso, per far
conoscere a tutti il nostro territorio e le nostre strade.
Se riguardo l’album dei ricordi di questa corsa, rivedo mio papà Nani che
nelle prime edizioni partiva simbolicamente in bici con noi, per poi anno
dopo anno, limitarsi ad un saluto prima del via, rivedo mio fratello Andrea
sempre in prima linea ad organizzare la corsa, e rivedo tanti volti di amici
che ogni anno tornano quì con noi a dedicare gratuitamente il loro tempo
per rendere possibile questa giornata di Ciclismo.
It’s been more than 20 years since I decided to establish Team
Granfondo Pinarello (now renamed simply IL TEAM), and shortly thereafter, together with Raffaello and the current organizing committee,
we decided to create our own granfondo here in Treviso, to let everyone
experience our area and our roads.
If I look back at my album of memories of this race, I see my dad, Nani,
who in the early editions started symbolically with us on his bike, and
then, year after year, limited himself to a greeting before the start. I see
my brother, Andrea, always on the front lines organizing the race. And I
see the faces of many friends who come back here every year to work
with us, donating their time to make this day of cycling possible.
Colgo quindi l’occasione per ringraziare tutti i volontari, le istituzioni, gli
sponsor che ci sono stati e che ci sono oggi con noi, ma soprattutto tutte
quelle persone a voi forse invisibili, ma che in realtà, sono per noi fonte
vitale e preziosa per poter organizzare da ventanni la Granfondo Pinarello.
So I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the volunteers, the
organizations, and the sponsors past and present, but especially all those
people who may be invisible to you but who in reality are important and
valuable resources that have enabled us to hold the Granfondo Pinarello

Il 2016 sarà per la famiglia Pinarello e per tutti gli appassionati
delle due ruote un anno davvero speciale: il 10 luglio 2016 festeggeremo i primi 20 anni della granfondo della Marca che porta a Treviso
migliaia di ciclisti da tutto il mondo.
Un’avventura cominciata nel 1997, partita subito forte e cresciuta di anno
in anno in maniera esponenziale. Oggi la Granfondo Pinarello è un appuntamento fisso nel calendario nazionale, ed è attesissima ogni anno anche
da una grande nicchia di ciclisti stranieri che scelgono Treviso e la sua
Granfondo per le loro vacanze in bicicletta.
La data della Ventesima non è stata scelta a caso: domenica 10 luglio
sarebbe stato il compleanno di “Nani”. Allora quale modo migliore per
rendergli omaggio se non con una grande festa dedicata al ciclismo, con
grandi campioni come Miguel Indurain al via ma anche tantissima gente
comune, persone appassionate di questo splendido sport.
Un pensiero speciale lo avremo tutti, come sempre, anche per il caro
Andrea Pinarello, anima dell’evento fin dalle sue origini. Per sempre nei
nostri cuori.
Per tre giorni Treviso sarà in festa. A partire da venerdì con l’apertura
della Bike Expo: oltre 500mq di area espositiva con tutte le ultime novità
del settore. Sabato sera la musica ruberà la scena allo sport invadendo le
piazze di allegria e divertimento.
Domenica il grande momento: la Ventesima Granfondo Pinarello.

For the Pinarello family and all cycling fans, 2016 will be a very special year. On July 10, 2016, we will celebrate the 20th edition of the granfondo that brings thousands of cyclists to Treviso from around the world.
It’s an adventure that began in 1997, started strongly and grew exponentially from year to year. Today the Granfondo Pinarello is a fixture on
the national calendar and is also highly anticipated by a large group of
foreign cyclists who choose Treviso and its granfondo for their annual
cycling vacation.
The date of the 20th edition was not selected by chance: Sunday, July 10,
would have been Nani’s birthday. What better way to honor him than with
a big party celebrating cycling, with great champions like Miguel Indurain
at the start but also many ordinary people who are passionate about this
beautiful sport.
We will all, as always, also have a special thought for Andrea Pinarello,
the soul of the event since the beginning. He is forever in our hearts.
Treviso will be celebrating for three days, starting Friday with the opening
of the Bike Expo: more than 500 square meters of exhibition space with
all the latest industry innovations. On Saturday night, music will steal the
spotlight, filling the squares with joy and fun.
On Sunday, the big moment: the 20th Granfondo Pinarello.

Difficile fare una presentazione di MIGUEL INDURAIN, perchè se
dovessi raccontarlo alle nuove generazioni basterebbe dire: 5 TOUR DE
FRANCE e tanto ancora, ma sarebbe riduttivo e lo paragonerei a tanti altri
ciclisti conosciuti in questi anni, lo dico perchè IL GRANDE NAVARRO è
molto molto di più. Se lo dovessi raccontare io, che lo conosco personalmente, vi posso dire che innanzitutto è un uomo straordinario con un
cuore enorme (non solo sportivamente). Seguendolo per lavoro, ho visto
questo grande campione dedicarsi ai suoi fans con rispetto ed umiltà
unici, non ha mai negato una foto o un autografo offrendo il suo tempo
sempre con il sorriso.
MIGUEL, correrà in mezzo a tutti voi, in sella ad una DOGMA F8 e con una
specialissima maglia GIALLA: cercatelo (se riuscite a stargli dietro) ma
soprattutto rendetegli onore...lui è il RE assoluto di questo sport.
It is difficult to make a presentation on Miguel Indurain, if I try and
explain to the younger generation it would be ample to say: 5 TOUR de
FRANCE’s and much more, but this would be too simplistic as it only compares numbers with other cyclists during this period. I say this because
the GRANDE NAVARRO is much more than this.
If I were to ask me, I know him personally, firstly, he is an extraordinary
man with a huge heart (not only for sport). Working alongside him, I saw
this great champion devote himself to his fans with respect and humility,
not once did he ever deny a photo or an autograph, always offering his
time with a smile.
MIGUEL will be riding amidst you all, on a DOGMA F8 and a very special
YELLOW jersey – keep an eye out for it (and if you can, keep up with it)
but be sure to display your honor, he is the true KING of this sport.

IL PERCORSO PIU’ BELLO!
Con la Granfondo Pinarello si pedala nel cuore della Marca. Restano
i due percorsi che hanno entusiasmato i ciclisti nel 2015: 158km per chi
si sente più allenato, 114km per gli altri. Comune denominatore: pedalare
su alcune salite suggestive e spettacolari che per gli appassionati trevigiani
delle due ruote sono un punto di riferimento e che portano in sé la storia del
nostro territorio e del nostro Paese. Chi sceglierà il Lungo dovrà vedersela
con le rampe del Passo San Boldo, uno dei valichi storici (la “Strada dei 100
giorni”) che collega la provincia di Treviso a quella di Belluno. Si rientrerà nel
Trevigiano solo dopo aver conquistato anche Passo Praderadego che fatta
da questo versante (bellunese) regala pendenze al 20%. L’ultimo dente è un
classico de La Pina: la presa XIV del Montello. Il rientro a Treviso per Porta
San Tommaso e traguardo in Piazza del Grano.
At GF Pinarello you’ll be riding in the heart of the province of Treviso.
The two popular routes from 2015 remain: 158 km for those who feel in
good form, 114 km for everyone else. The common denominator: riding some
scenic and spectacular climbs that are favorites of the locals and that reflect
the history of our region and our country. If you choose the long route you will
tackle the pitches of Passo San Boldo, one of the historic mountain passes
(the “road of 100 days”) that connects the province of Treviso with that of
Belluno. You will return to Treviso only after having also conquered Passo
Praderadego, which, approached from this side (Belluno), reaches gradients
of 20 percent. The last challenge is a classic in La Pina: Presa XIV of the
Montello. Then you’ll reenter Treviso via Porta San Tommaso to reach the
finish in Piazza del Grano.

Andrea nasce nel 1971 a Treviso, terzo figlio di Nani e Ida, dopo Carla
e Fausto. Certamente la passione per le due ruote fa parte del DNA di
ogni membro della famiglia Pinarello, ma nel caso di Andrea era qualcosa di più profondo. Una passione che lo ha spinto a cercare, anche nel
quotidiano, un filo conduttore costante con le due ruote. La Granfondo di
Famiglia è forse solo la punta dell’Iceberg che tutti percepivano, in realtà
Andrea lavorava ogni giorno per promuovere in ogni ambito il suo grande
amore per la bicicletta. Il 3 agosto 2011, alla fine di una gara ciclistica,che era quello che più amava fare, il cuore di Andrea si ferma. Il suo
cuore smette di battere ma come per magia è il nostro che comincia a
battere più forte, il suo entusiasmo, la sua passione, la sua energia sono
passate a noi, a tutti coloro che hanno vissuto Andrea. La nascita della
Fondazione è tutta qui: l’energia, il cuore grande di Andrea, non si è mai
fermato e continua a battere in tutti noi per fare qualcosa di bello per chi
è meno fortunato.
Oggi la Fondazione lavora per sostenere iniziative legate allo sport e alla
ricerca cardiologica, in particolare è allo studio un progetto in collaborazione con il Comune di Treviso per la dotazione di defibrillatori nelle
scuole.

Andrea was born in 1971 in Treviso, the third child of Nani and Ida,
after Carla and Fausto. A passion for cycling is part of the DNA of every
member of the Pinarello family, but for Andrea it was something even
deeper. It was a passion that drove him to find a connecting thread with
cycling even in daily life. The family granfondo was perhaps just the tip of
the iceberg that everyone saw, but in reality Andrea worked every day to
promote his great love for cycling in every setting.
On August 3, 2011, at the end of bike race, which was his favorite activity,
his heart stopped. His heart stopped beating, but as if by magic, ours
began to beat harder – his enthusiasm, his passion and his energy have
been passed on to us, to all of us who knew Andrea.
That’s what the birth of the foundation is all about: Andrea’s big heart
never stopped and continues to beat in all of us as we try to do something
good for those who are less fortunate.
Today the foundation works to support initiatives relating to sports and
cardiology research and is currently developing a project in collaboration
with the municipality of Treviso to provide defibrillators to schools.
So now it’s time for you too to join forces with the Andrea Pina Foundation. Buy the colorful bracelet and make your contribution to research or
to initiatives aimed at promoting health in sport — and keep Andrea’s
energy alive.

Davvero difficile trovare un evento con un pacco gara più ricco e goloso. Ma la Famiglia Pinarello voleva festeggiare il Ventennale
della granfondo Pinarello in un modo tutto speciale. Cosi i partecipanti
troveranno nel loro pacco gara la bellissima ed esclusiva maglia da ciclismo special edition del Ventennale: un ricordo da indossare durante
la granfondo di domenica ma soprattutto con l’orgoglio di poter dire

Da quasi 30 anni riesce a far ballare giovani e meno giovani.
E non c’è verso. Le sue canzoni sanno essere una scossa, una carezza,
una riflessione sui problemi che ogni giorno pervadono la vita umana, ma
anche un momento di semplice allegria. Questo è Lorenzo Cherubini, in
arte Jova. Forse non tutti sanno che, malgrado i numerosissimi impegni,
Jova riesce a trovare anche il tempo per coltivare la sua grande passione
per la bicicletta. Con “Il grande boh!” racconta dei suoi viaggi sulle due
ruote in Africa e Patagonia. Bicicletta (preferibilmente Pinarello, cui è molto affezionato) che usa anche per pedalare alle granfondo e non è escluso
che in una delle prossime Granfondo Pinarello non ve lo troverete accanto
ad affrontare Praderadego, il San Boldo o la Presa XIV del Montello. Questa la promessa (senza data e senza scadenza) che Jova ha fatto a Fausto
Pinarello quando, lo scorso aprile, gli ha consegnato una fiammante F8W
con Sram Red e Tap nel negozio di Forlì di Augusto Baldoni.
For almost 30 years, he has made both young and old dance. It’s
impossible to resist. His songs can be a shock, a caress, a reflection on
the problems of everyday human life, but also moments of simple happiness. This is Lorenzo Cherubini, known professionally as Jova. Maybe not
everyone knows that despite his numerous commitments, Jova also finds
the time to cultivate his passion for cycling. In his book Il Grande Boh! he
tells of his travels on two wheels in Africa and Patagonia. He also rides
his bike (preferably a Pinarello, which he is very fond of) in granfondos,
and it’s not impossible that in a future edition of the Granfondo Pinarello
you might find yourself next to him as you tackle Praderadego, Passo San
Boldo or Presa XIV of the Montello. This is the promise (with no date and
no expiration) that Jova made Fausto Pinarello last April, when Fausto
presented him with a shiny new F8W with SRAM Red eTap at Augusto
Baldoni’s store in Forlì.

Trevigiana. La Pina dei Gourmet vi offre proprio la possibilità di una
pedalata (non agonistica e aperta a tutti) per scoprire bellezze ma anche
i sapori del territorio.
Sono ormai 13 anni che la Famiglia Pinarello propone un’alternativa a chi
accompagna gli iscritti alla Pina e a tutti i trevigiani che vogliano trascorrere una mattinata spensierata. Una trentina di km da fare in assoluta
tranquillità con alcune tappe golose a base dei sapori caratteristici della
cucina trevigiana, bagnati da ottimo prosecco, naturalmente.
Si può pedalare con qualsiasi bicicletta purché si rispetti il codice della
strada. La partenza è in Piazza del Grano alle 9.30. La pedalata è aperta
ad un massimo di 500 persone (dai 10 anni in su). Agli iscritti viene
regalata una simpatica t-shirt e vengono consegnati i buoni da presentare ai punti gourmet. Iscrizioni e ritiro pacco gara possono essere fatte
venerdì 8 luglio (dalle 17 alle 21) o sabato 9 luglio (dalle 10 alle 21) nel
punto segreteria LA PINA Cycling Marathon in Borgo Mazzini a Treviso
centro, oppure domenica mattina a partire dalle ore 8:30 circa in Piazza
del Grano a ridosso del Pasta Party (ma solo fino ad esaurimento maglie).

Cycling without stress discovering aromas and flavors of the
Province of Treviso. La Pina dei Gourmet, a noncompetitive ride that
is open to everyone, offers you the opportunity to discover not only the
beautiful scenery of the area but also the local flavors.
For 13 years now, the Pinarello family has offered this alternative ride
for friends and family members of those participating in the granfondo
as well as for locals who want to spend a relaxing morning. You’ll cover
about 30 kilometers at an easy pace, with stops to enjoy the distinctive
flavors of the Treviso cuisine — paired with excellent prosecco, of course.
You can ride any bike as long as you respect the rules of the road. The
start is in Piazza del Grano at 9:30 a.m. The ride is open to a maximum
of 500 participants (ages 10 years and over). Those who register will
receive an event T-shirt and vouchers to be presented at the gourmet

del ciclismo. Il tutto a due passi dalla storica bottega da cui ha preso
vita l’azienda Pinarello, quella fondata da Giovanni “Nani” Pinarello e che
ancora oggi, sebbene l’azienda sia a Villorba, rappresenta un punto di
riferimento per i ciclisti di tutto il mondo.
Ci si potrà perdere tra le ultime novità proposte dalle aziende partner
della manifestazione come Rudy Project, Sidi, Selle italia, Garmin, Latteria
Soligo, Ricola, Enervit.
La zona segreteria-ritiro pacchi gara sarà allestita in Borgo Mazzini e sarà
aperta venerdì 8 luglio dalle 17 alle 21 e sabato 9 luglio dalle 10 alle 21.

More than 500 square meters of exposition space. The Pinarello family is celebrating the 20th anniversary of the granfondo by providing a rich
and spectacular expo in Borgo Mazzini (also known as Piazza del Grano)
and the nearby Piazza Matteotti for the residents of the city and all the
cyclists who come. It will be an authentic fair focused on cycling but also
on the flavors of the local region.
On Friday, July 8, and Saturday, July 9, the squares will be transformed
into an area where enthusiasts can find all the latest innovations connected with the world of cycling. And all just steps from the historic workshop
where Pinarello was born — the company that was founded by Giovanni
“Nani” Pinarello and that continues, even though the headquarters are
now in Villorba, to serve as a reference point for cyclists from all over
the world.
You can lose yourself among the latest offerings from the partner companies of the event, such as Rudy Project, Sidi, Selle Italia, Garmin, Latteria
Soligo, Ricola and Enervit.
The administration and race packet pickup area will be located in Borgo

E’ iniziata con la gran fondo Fi’zi:k di Marostica dello scorso 24 aprile la
seconda edizione del circuito Maglia Nera be a Legend. Sono già 500 gli
amatori che hanno sposato la filosofia del circuito voluto con forza dalla
Famiglia Pinarello per ricordare il fondatore dell’azienda Giovanni “Nani”,
la maglia nera più famosa del ciclismo. Quella stessa maglia che al Giro
d’Italia veniva assegnata all’ultimo classificato è diventata strumento di
aggregazione e motivo per vivere in modo diverso le granfondo perché
alla fine a Jesolo non sarà incoronato il più forte e veloce, ma la squadra
che avrà partecipato con più soci. In palio anche quest’anno un montepremio di 6500€.
Il Maglia Nera nel 2016 vanta una new entry di tutto rispetto: la Gran
Fondo Gimondi-Bianchi del 15 maggio a Bergamo.

The second edition of the Maglia Nera Be a Legend circuit kicked off
on April 24 with the Granfondo fi’zi:k in Marostica. Five hundred cycling
enthusiasts have already embraced the philosophy of the circuit created by the Pinarello family to remember the company founder, Giovanni
(“Nani”), the most famous black jersey in cycling. The jersey awarded to
the last rider in the classification in the Giro d’Italia became a tool to bring
people together and experience granfondos differently, because in the
end it won’t be the strongest and fastest who are crowned in Jesolo, but
the team with the most members participating. Prize money of €6,500 is
on offer again this year.
In 2016 the Maglia Nera will feature a noteworthy new addition: the Granfondo Gimondi-Bianchi on May 15 in Bergamo.
So there are five granfondos on the calendar:
-Granfondo fi’zi:k in Marostica (April 24)
-Granfondo Gimondi-Bianchi in Bergamo (May 15)
-Granfondo del Centenario in Montebelluna (June 1)
-Sportful Dolomiti Race in Feltre (June 19)
-La Pina in Treviso (July 10)
The grand finale will be the 6xAndrea team time trial on September 18 in
Jesolo. Don’t miss the events in Bergamo (GF Gimondi-Bianchi), Feltre

Agonismo e amicizia. Lotta contro il cronometro e puro divertimento.
La puoi vivere come vuoi, ma alla fine il fascino travolgente della 6xAndrea ti strega e non puoi farne a meno. E lo provano i numeri di squadre
iscritte che ogni anno aumentano in modo esponenziale (700 i partecipanti nel 2015). La formula è semplice: basta essere sei amici con tanta
voglia di pedalare e divertirsi, ma con un occhio al cronometro. Se poi ci
aggiungi il ricordo di un amico che a questa gara teneva in modo particolare allora segnare nel calendario la data del 18 settembre e prenotare
l’albergo a Jesolo diventa una cosa automatica.
Sei amici sui pedali per una lotta contro il tempo che dura 25km tra lunghi
rettilinei, curve e controcurve del litorale jesolano. Questo è la 6xAndrea
dedicata alla memoria di Andrea Pinarello e che punta tutto sullo spirito
e sulla sintonia della squadra, proprio come la filosofia che sottende il
circuito Maglia Nera di cui è anche tappa finale.
Da tre anni leader indiscusso è il team Sportissimo di Modena che nel
2016 ha anche battuto se stesso registrando ancora una volta il record
sul percorso: 27’07” alla media oraria di 52,86km/h. Le donne più veloci sono state le ragazze del Team 69 Cronowomen che hanno vinto in
34’21”.

Competitive spirit and friendship. Racing against the clock and pure
fun. You can experience it however you want, but in the end the 6xAndrea
will captivate you and draw you in, as is demonstrated by the exponential
increase in the number of teams registered each year (700 participants
in 2015). The formula is simple: you just need to be six friends who want
to ride and have fun, but with an eye on the stopwatch. And when you
add the memory of a friend who really loved this race, then marking
September 18 on your calendar and booking a hotel in Jesolo becomes
almost inevitable.
Six friends riding in a 25 km contest against the clock along the long
straightaways and curves of the Jesolo coastline. This is the 6xAndrea,
dedicated to the memory of Andrea Pinarello, and it relies on the spirit and coordination of the team, just like the philosophy underlying the
Maglia Nera circuit, of which this race is also the final event.
For three years the undisputed leader has been the Sportissimo team
from Modena, which in 2015 beat its own best time by setting a new
course record: 27’07”, for an average speed of 52.86 km/h. The fastest
women were the girls of Team 69 Cronowomen, who won in 34’21”.

Da sempre Pinarello guarda con interesse ai giovani perché sono
loro il futuro di questo bellissimo sport chiamato ciclismo.
Il Team Rudy Project è una squadra formata da 15 atleti tra Junior, Under
23 ed Elite Uomini e Donne. Ragazzi in gamba che si divertono sui pedali
e che grazie a questo spirito raccolgono anche grandi soddisfazioni.
Questi giovani hanno partecipato agli Internazionali d’Italia che rappresenta uno dei circuiti più importanti in Italia ed Europa.
E qui hanno ben dimostrato il loro valore portando sul podio della classifica finale Jessica Pellizzaro e Marika Tovo, ben piazzando anche gli altri
ragazzi del gruppo.
Al momento di andare in stampa (inizio maggio) il Team Rudy Project è in
testa alla classifica della Veneto Cup che include le più importanti prove
di xc. Ma i ragazzi sono impegnati anche in alcune gare in diverse zone
d’Europa tra Coppa del Mondo e altre gare Internazionali.

are the future of this beautiful sport called cycling.
Team Rudy Project is a team of 15 athletes in the junior, under-23 and
elite men’s and women’s mountain biking categories — talented youngsters who have fun riding and, thanks to this approach, also reap great
rewards.
These young riders have participated in the Internazionali d’Italia series,
which is one of the most important circuits in Italy and Europe. And here
they have proven their ability, delivering Jessica Pellizzaro and Marika
Tovo to the podium in the final classification, while the other riders on the
team also placed well.
At press time (early May) Team Rudy Project is leading the Veneto Cup
classification, which includes the most important cross-country races.
But with the World Cup and other international competitions, the riders
are also participating in races in different parts of Europe.
