WHAT A SETTING
Turin was the first capital of Italy, and the birthplace of the Italian FA (FIGC). It has celebrated the
sporting successes of its two football clubs. On the night of 14 May 2014 the city of Torino will once
again recapture its glory as the Capital of Football.
The Juventus Stadium in Turin, opened in 2011, is a superb setting for the 2014 UEFA Europa League final.
Home to one of Europe’s most renowned clubs, the stadium’s unique feel will guarantee a fantastic
atmosphere for this eagerly-anticipated European football showpiece.
A memorable ‘first’ awaits the world-famous city of Turin, which has never witnessed a single-game final in one
of Europe‘s top club competitions. Juventus’ three UEFA Cup successes were contested over two legs – twice at
the Stadio Comunale and once at the Stadio Delle Alpi – where the Juventus Stadium now stands. Turin, a proud
