» Giro del Monte Fausior
Da qui le possibilità sono due:
> Seguendo le indicazioni “Pragrande”, dopo
una breve discesa si arriva all’imbocco del
sentiero della “Scaletta” che in poche e
ripide rampe ci porta in località “Fontana
Bianca”, a nord dell’abitato di Fai. Strada
molto panoramica ma esposta, che ci

From the town centre you quickly reach Santel
following Provincial road No. 64 or an alternative
route along the “Ardito Alberto” path.
Near the Santa Libera church, take the steep
dirt track on the right which climbs up to 1360
m with short but demanding stretches. Continue
across a long fairly gentle stretch after the lefthand fork for Val dei Brenzi (from where you can
reach Spormaggiore) then go on to another
obbliga a qualche tratto a piedi.

> Proseguendo diritti, la seconda possibilità
ci fa percorrere un ampio anello sulla sommità
del Monte Fausior che ci riporterà su una
comoda strada forestale, fino alla baita di
Campedel adagiata in una grande radura.
Da qui c’è la possibilità di arrivare fino alla
Croce di Fai da cui si ammira un incredibile
panorama sul paese e sulla Valle dell’Adige.
Ai piedi della croce si può lasciare la propria
firma sul “libro di vetta”. Tornando indietro e
riprendendo la strada forestale, si prosegue
in discesa fino a ricongiungersi con la strada
forestale precedentemente percorsa in salita
e quindi raggiungere in pochi minuti la
località Santel. Discesa abbastanza
impegnativa ma con fondo stradale
compatto.

There are two possibilities:
> Follow the signs for “Pragrande”, after a
short downhill stretch you come to the
“Scaletta” path that rises steeply to “Fontana
Bianca”, north of the burgh of Fai. The road
is very panoramic but exposed and in a few
places you need to dismount and walk.
Recommended for experts only.
> The second possibility is to go straight on to
ride a wide ring on the top of Monte Fausior
which takes you on a good Forestry
Commission road to the Campedel hut
nestling in a large clearing. From here you
can go as far as the Croce di Fai, from where
you can admire an incredible panorama of
the town and the Adige valley. You can
sign the “summit log” kept at the foot of the
cross. Go back the same way along the
Forestry Commission road then continue
downhill to join the road previously done
uphill and reach Santel in a few minutes.
The descent is quite challenging, but the
road surface is good.

Dal centro paese si raggiunge rapidamente
località Santel seguendo la S.P. 64 o in alternativa
attraverso il sentiero “Ardito Alberto”. Nei pressi
della chiesetta di Santa Libera, sulla destra si
imbocca una ripida sterrata che con brevi ma
intensi strappi ci conduce a quota 1360 m. Si
prosegue attraverso un lungo falsopiano
oltrepassando il bivio a sinistra per Val dei Brenzi
(da dove si può raggiungere il paese di
Spormaggiore) e si prosegue fino ad un altro
bivio con le indicazioni “Pragrande” a sinistra e
“Campedel” a destra.

> Der Weg gerade aus bringt uns auf einen
langen Ring auf der Anhöhe des Monte
Fausior, dann geht es weiter auf einem
gemütlichen Forstweg bis zur Campedel Hütte
mitten auf einer großen Lichtung.
Von hier aus kann man weiter zum Gipfelkreuz
von Fai (Croce di Fai) aufsteigen, von wo aus
man eine atemberaubende Aussicht auf das
Dorf und das Etschtal hat. Natürlich kann
man seine Unterschrift im Gipfelbuch
hinterlassen.
Der Rückweg führt über den selben Weg
abwärts bis zum Anschluss mit der Forststraße,
die wir vorher schon im Aufstieg gemacht
haben und erreichen dann in wenigen
Minuten den Ort Santel. Der Abstieg ist etwas
anspruchsvoll, doch ist der Boden sehr
kompakt.
RUNDE MONTE FAUSIOR
Vom Dorfzentrum erreichen wir auf der SP 64
innerhalb kurzer Zeit den Ort Santel oder wir
nehmen den „Ardito Alberto“ – Pfad.
In der Nähe der Santa Libera Kirche beginnt
rechts ein steiler Anstieg, der uns über einige
sehr anspruchsvolle Teilstücke auf 1360 Meter
bringt.
Nach der Kreuzung geht es links Richtung Val
dei Brenzi (hier geht es zum Dorf Spormaggiore)
auf einer augenscheinlich ebenen Strecke bis
zur nächsten Kreuzung mit dem Hinweis nach
links „Pragrande“ und rechts “Campedel”.
Hier gibt es zwei Möglichkeiten:
> Folgen wir dem Hinweis “Pragrande”
erreichen wir nach einem kurzen Abstieg den
Beginn des “Scaletta”-Pfads, der uns über
einige sehr steile Rampen in den Weiler
Fontana Bianca nördlich von Fai bringt; ein
Weg mit herrlicher Aussicht, aber auch sehr
exponiert, wodurch wir einige Stücke zu Fuß
gehen müssen. Nur für MTB Experten!
