E sarebbe stato impossibile non farlo, bombardati come siamo A utumn: season of falling leaves, clothes which weight increase, and dutiful remise en forme. If, on the one hand, trend wants us definitely the most refinedwhen eating, suggesting new restaurants and more appetizing dishes, on the other hand, fashion, about silhouette, does not compromise: it claim us fit, toned, firm and lean - always and anyway. Fashion, you know, does not admit exceptions whatsoever. All this within an almost sedentary way of life, where, to get the body of a teenage girl, very often, it is a torture with grueling sessions of fitness exercises at the gym. So, what to do? Surrender peacefully to the sins of gluttony, enjoying increasingly elaborate and elegant cooking, or give up the pleasures of the INVESTO MAGAZINE 65 STYLE TO WOMAN STYLE TO WOMAN da messaggi (più o meno subliminali) che ci vogliono rigorosamente in forma smagliante. Oppure a Elisa D’Ospina, modella plus size vicentina che, blogger e testimonial contro l’anoressia, si propone attivamente anche sui so- 66 INVESTO MAGAZINE palate, struggling daily with an all-too-candid scale? The answer, albeit partial, is provided to us from the incredible proliferation of diets and dieticians, and not only on paper, but on television and social networks too. As if all the Belpaese has suddenly gained weight and needs drastic measures to return to an ancient glory. All of us, even if only once in our lifetime, have tried to start a diet. And it would have been impossible not to, as we are subjected to messages (more or less subliminal) that want us in dazzling shape: reality shows that, around the world, broadcast such amazing, and exceptional, weight-loss journeys; television programs that teach how to eat everything, but healthily and well balanced; contests between chefs who create dishes more or less tasty, but strictly healthy. Not to mention the vegetarian trend, that silently, has become increasingly adopted, often becoming the veganism, its most uncompromising branch. Around a table, then, but with moderation, with foresight of dresses and suits, which are transformed, becoming increasingly tight, with smaller and less capacious sizes. On the other hand, though, it’s as significant as recent the affirmation of curvy figures, i.e. those women who, despite nowadays trend, are consciously proud of thei roundness, that claim the right to a shapely figure, without losing their charm, nor making painful sacrifices at the table. Models and women from the showbiz gave a face to, and have become spokesperson of, this trend, getting to a success, perhaps unexpected. INVESTO MAGAZINE 67 STYLE TO WOMAN STYLE TO WOMAN o ot Ph by Ele na rò Mi 68 INVESTO MAGAZINE cial network come paladina delle donne normali. Ma la moda è anche un enorme business, per chi la produce, e lo sa bene l’attrice, modella e conduttrice televisiva Kelly Brook, nota ai più come “The Just think to Vanessa Incontrada, nice and good actress and tv host, italoSpanish, that, remaining soft after giving birth to her child, has been the testimonial of the famous bounty brand Persona, shaped clothes stylist, becoming the idol of all normal weight women. Or to Elisa D’ospina, plus size supermodel from Vicenza, blogger and testimonial against anorexia, who is also active on social networks as a champion of ordinary women. How not to consider, then, the recent, and discussed, Miss Italy context 2012, where ad hoc has been created the “Miss soft forms” category, where contenders’ shapes were not the canonical 90-60-90 cm. A controversial, but courageous, choice, by a contest that, like it or not, has always had participants (and winners) skinny and wiry. The world of fashion response to this unstoppable trend has been swift. In fact, if, on the one hand, the models are always dry, to the limits of extreme thinness, on the other side catwalks have recently, and increasingly, hosted curvy women, some of them VIP, -that have shown and proven that slimness is not always synonymous with beauty. Music too, with Adele and her many international successes, helps common women: an angel voice in a Botticelli body that wears Italian clothes. Vogue magazine, which, from some time, is leading a pro-curvy INVESTO MAGAZINE 69 STYLE TO WOMAN Legs”, cioè le gambe più belle del Regno Unito. 70 INVESTO MAGAZINE campaign, publishes the portraits of the British pop artist, radiant in her retro clothes by Marina Rinaldi - perforated lace dresses, embroidered satin dress the shapely Adele with a definitely refined allure and deliciously vintage. Even a low cost brand like H&M was concerned about the request from normal women, major customers and buyers of the brand clothes, the biggest part of the female population. H&M realized, in fact, a line of modeling lingerie, which thins models and enhances the curves of women that have no intention to give up the end-of-meal dessert. But fashion is a tremendous business, for who creates it, as knows well the actress, model and television presenter Kelly Brook, known to most as “The Legs”, that is the United Kingdom’s most beautiful legs. The beautiful English model, in fact, designed an entire line of clothing for curvy women, named after her. 1950s flared dresses, or squeezed dresses in jersey, shapely Kelly gives British women the dream of feeling, with her clothes, pin up for one night. What to choose, then, between a perfect line, won with many sacrifices on the battlefield of the table and a softer body that does not surrender to fashion enticements, despite the mermaids of thinness at any cost? “In medio stat virtus”, stated with conviction the Latins and, probably, it is a valid especially in a diet. A healthy diet, varied, colorful in every sense of the word, including fruits, vegetables, legumes, pasta, meat and fish, consumed with moderation, can in fact help you lose any excess weight, without, however, depriving your body of nutrients necessary for his wellbeing. Lean, dry, athletic, yes, but never forgetting the good health of the most complex and best assembled machine of all times: the human body. PUBBLICITÀ
