The LIFE+ K-12 project aims to
demonstrate the feasibility of an
innovative polyurethane (PU)
insulation technology for improving
30% thermal insulation and 20%
energy efficiency of households’
cold appliances while having an
energy saving in the refrigerator
industrial production process
up to 50%, and applying the novel
insulation material with a zero
Ozone Depletion Potential (ODP)
and minimum Global Warming
Potential (GWP). Aim of the project
is to contribute to the European
Union’s goals of creating an energyefficient economy mitigating the threat
of global warming.
Il progetto LIFE K-12 mira a dimostrare
la fattibilità di una tecnologia isolante
innovativa con poliuretano (PU) per
migliorare del 30% l’isolamento
termico di elettrodomestici del
freddo, e del 20% la loro efficienza
energetica, sfruttando un processo
di produzione industriale con
risparmio energetico fino al 50%,
ed applicando il nuovo materiale
isolante a ZERO impatto sull’ozono
(ODP) e basso Effetto Serra
(GWP). In questo modo, esso ha lo
scopo di contribuire agli obiettivi
dell’Unione Europea per la creazione
di un’economia ad alta efficenza
energetica mitigando la minaccia del
riscaldamento globale.

The LIFE programme is the European Union’s funding instrument for the
environment and climate action. The general objective of LIFE is to contribute
to the implementation, updating and development of European Union
environmental and climate policy and legislation by co-financing projects
with European added value.
Il programma LIFE è lo strumento di finanziamento dell’Unione Europea in ambito
ambientale e climatico. L’obiettivo generale del programma LIFE è quello di
contribuire all’implementazione, aggiornamento e sviluppo della politica e della
legislazione ambientale e climatica dell’Unione Europea, attraverso progetti cofinanziati con valore aggiunto europeo.
